I loved you.
I thought you loved me too.
You said you did, you said forever.
Then you broke my heart in two.
Without a backwards glance,
leaving my broken and bruised body
Lying on the floor
You walked out the door.
What happened to that man I first met
Full of love, life, And happiness?
Was it just an act, a facade?
If it was you are a master of your trade.
You used to tell me how beautiful I was,
Then I heard words fall so easily from your lips
That I never thought I would..
Fat, lazy, ugly, slut, whore, a nobody worth nothing.
And I believed you.
Even with all the physical & mental abuse..
I still loved you, I couldn't help but think the man I first met
The man I fell in love with was still there in you,
Just waiting to get out.
But I can't, I won't wait for that anymore.
As my bruises and broken bones heal
So does my shattered heart and tattered life.
And I realise it's time to move on.
