Who knew that shopping in a department store could be so deadly? An agent is killed when investigating a lead in Pinter's Department Store. Emma becomes an employee and Steed meets the owner, King Kane. Steed tries to find out more info from a store clerk over some Stilton cheese. A brilliant scientist is being held prisoner in the basement. But why?
Notes: King Kane, the owner, is an old-fashioned eccentric who lives upstairs in the Discontinued Lines Department. The Avengers have a comical fight scene later.
