Snow Dragon

The Snow Dragon is one of the largest predators of Arth and they are always hungry since unlike related species in warmer climes, they continually burn energy to stay warm. In Snowdragons, the scales have become like hard bony plates, which are usually warm or even hot to the touch. The bone plates are dark in colour often black, and between them, long staggly white hair curls. This breaks up their outline, so lying in the snow, they are often mistaken for a pile of rocks. Snow dragons are not overly fast so usually lair in broken craggy country where they can stalk or ambush their prey. They are surprisingly stealthy for such a large animal.
