Murret
This small but hardy beast is used all over the world to carry
loads or as a riding animal. It is not particularly attractive,
possessing a bristly coat that tends to shed enormously, so it has a
somewhat patchy appearance, and it has large floppy ears and a short,
constantly snuffling snout. It is hardy and capable of living on
almost any sort of forage. The murret is only about 1.5 metres high,
so it does not make an ideal mount, though it can carry quite heavy
loads. It is sure-footed and is most at home in hot climates. The
Murret is usually grey, sprinkled with white, for a salt-and-pepper
look
