Fleshworm

Fleshworms are white, maggot-like creatures about the size of a man's thumb, with a maw filled with spiralling teeth that comprises one end of their bodies. They have a voracious appetite and literally burrow into their hosts. When Fleshworms attack, they do so in a wave of tiny bodies that move in a series of coilings and springing - up to 1". Where they hit flesh, they burrow in, causing only minor damage at first, but eventually killing their host. When the body cools, they lay their eggs and abandon the host to their offspring who will hatch in the carrion and strip the corpse to the bones. A fully armoured figure has little to fear from these pests, but to others, they can be a real threat.
