Martin Lawrence has been through a lot. A mental hospital, jail, and a coma. And what did he learn? Life, ride that motherfucker till the wheels fall off.

What surprised me is that this whole movie isn't stand up. He'll do a bit, relay a serious messgae, and then do another bit. He uses these small sincere moments to transition between comedy. He also gives "Bigger, Longer, and Uncut" a run for it's money in the obcenity spoken department. Now before I grade this thing you wanna know, is it funny? Martin is funny. Some of his jokes would fall flat if he didn't put all his energy behind even the lamest material. It's an interesting thing to view. A man comes to term with his demons through standup comedy, and if you dig Martin and are a sucker for redemption stories like me, you'll like this movie. But whether you see this depends on whether you determine Martin's facial expressions 10 feet tall are worth five to ten bucks. During the drinking story, I'd say they are.

War.
