What does it take to be a Togle Volunteer?

To be a volunteer with the Togle project, you only need to be over 14 years old with spare time to give to a young disabled person. Just two refernces are required one of which must be your school if you still attend. You would need to be friendly, committed and willing to get involved. As a volunteer you would not be looking after anybody, or providing rest bite care, just looking out for the person and making sure that they are included in the club activities. Incouraging other club members to include them

Previous experience would be an advantage, but the co-ordinator and club leaders will be help and support you throughout. Training is provided so that you know what to do and can feel confident in what you are doing.

We really need more volunteers as we have many young people waiting for a placement. You could really make a difference to someones life, and volunteering can be used towards such schemes as the Duke of Edinburgh Award, for references, as well as a worthwhile experiance and of course fun!
