Accessories: a tattered & torn (a nice touch for detail) cape & cowl which looks great on him, but hinders movement from the top 2 arms. He also comes with 2 massive axes which only fit in the hands on the top 2 arms.
COmments: A fantastic job! Looks incredible! This Four armed (that's right! A FOUR ARMED SPAWN!) menace to medieval society looks dark truly mean, clad in chain-mail armor (with the traditional Spawn face mask ALSO done in chanmail mold) Now for the bad part... Unfortunately this spawn is freakishly brittle! the peg for the uper right arm just snapped off while posing him (had to whip out the super glue *sigh*), also the axe that goes in that hand had it's tip broken off trying to get it in (I eventually pried it open to get it in, if you do this, be careful! You might break off his fingers if you bend too far!). I saw one in the store whose leg had actually come off INSIDE the package.... scary huh? Another problem is that for some reason ( I guess to give him a full 19 pivoting joints ^_^') he has bending ankles for some really weird reason! Because he tends to weigh himself down (he leapt on me from my top shelf at least three times already ^_^;). Overall he's a FANTASTIC example of the craftmanship McFarlane Toys uses, but if you're planning on displaying him, be gentle... and watch out 'cuz he's out for blood! :P***
Mandarin Spawn: The Scarlet edge - The Good guy! Stuff says he's a warlord from some other dimension ^_^' While elsewhere I believe he's was sent by Heaven after being killed in the war against the undead... er... okie :)Exquisite in design, quite beautiful to see. Looks like the lovechild of every asian religion! Comes with foot long double bladed weapon, (2 Katanas, a large flame styled shield and a spike that you fit into his right shoulder. I like this figure soooo much I can't put it into words! As for problems there's only 2 I have with it, first, the spike on his shoulder often comes into direct conflict with the longest spike coming from his head (common in ancient Japanese war helmets). Second, the HUGE weapon of his can be stored no where else than his right hand, other than that I love it! So much in fact that I bought another one for work :)*****
Iguantus & Tuskadon - The noble knight & his magnificent steed! At least... that's how it used to be, until the Necromancer changed the Knight & his horse into... these! Iguantus, the once handsome knight was turned to a small Reptilian/Human hybrid which is according to the Necromancer "a from more suitable to his name", and his once mighty steed was turned to a monstrous hulking beast now called Tuskadon! Iguantus comes with: Tuskadon (we'll pretend he's an accesory even though he's WAYYY bigger than Iguantus :-=), an Axe and a flag. First I'll review Iguantus, he's rather short, but at least he stands alright...I think... wait, I take that back, he's his own balancing act. Just gently tap him and he keels over... if you intend to have him hold the flag when he's not atop Tuskadon better use that as a third leg or he'll fall right over, but he CAN hold the axe and stand :) My main peeves with him is 1. the square peghole up his butt for the square peg on Tuskadon's saddle ^_^' 2. His left hand which is meant to hold the reigns on Tuskadon... doesn't hold them too well unless wrapped around it. As far as detail goes... he rules! :D He look like the lovechild of an imp & a dragon!!! Now for Tuskadon, he is HUUUUGE!!! And detail is FANTASTIC!!! A powerful figure on his own. You can jam the flag & axe in the saddle area behind the seat, in the crevase between Tuskadon & the saddle thing draped around his hips. Can pivot his head around a bit, same goes for his legs, but it would have helped had they used the bending ankles on him instead of Spawn the black heart. And to go even further into detail if you look closely at his nostrils they appear to be runny with snot! :O Together though, these fellas are awesome!! I don't regret getting them for a second! They're getting perty rare though so good luck on finding them! %-P I take that back, the recolors are out so go man go! Overall the come mildly recommended as far as posability, but they look so cool that I had to get 'em! ****
