At first my interest in street fighter was just as a "what the heck? I’ll beat the hell out of my cousin and laugh about it sort of thing." Then… SHE came… and turned my gaming world upside down! By the time SUPER SF2 rolled out of the arcades into my home, I went ballistic… Cammycammycammycammy… Er… Anyway, She’s not only cooler than Chun-li (not to mention way sexier! ROWR!!!) , she's the character I’m best with (that's right, like a red headed stepchild I'll beat ya ^_^). And this figure is probably the coolest I’ve ever seen of her. I’ve seen some breathtaking statues and resin casts of her which are… perfect. But even though this figure doesn’t quite live up to my anime-game goddess fantasy… she’s good enough dammit! ^_^
Packaging: Best blister card packaging I’ve ever seen! It totally rocks my socks!!! Made removing her extremely painful. Good thing I bought 3 Cammy figures including both variants ^_^ The packaging for the street fighter figures has won awards for it’s ingenuity and eye grabbing colors and style which is not surprising.
Figure: Cammy comes with the “Street Fighter” logo base and sticker. She has articulation at her shoulders, wrists, neck and hips. Total comes to seven points. Her face is the only thing that really bugs me, it just doesn’t have the desired Anime feel to it, but is more or less acceptable. Detail on her body is awesome, from her muscled frame to the camo paint on her legs, to the beret on her head. Cammy is one gorgeous piece of work and unlike the Toy biz figure, this one is not pained by hideous joints. The one problem is that she is soooo stiff coming out of the package that when I tried moving her right leg, the plastic almost broke off and she would have been leg-less. I saved her by quickly boiling up some water and soaking her in it until it felt safe to move her leg again without worry of the joint breaking off, then I placed her in the tray she came in and stuck her in the freezer. It was still a little loose so I hot glued her to the base to prevent future problems. On the base, she looks awesome, like a prize ^_^ She can only achieve so many poses, and those mainly consist of her moving her arms and sitting with her legs spread out really wide, in a way that not only looks unnatural, but quite uncomfortable.
Unfortunately by 1/15/02 her leg DID break off >_< Fortunately, I was able to fasten it back on with some hot glue and so far she's standing fine! :)
Overall: Seriously worth picking up if you fancy Cammy. The plastic used is pretty weak so she’s rather fragile, but she makes for a beautiful display! I highly recommend her. I bought 3, I should think that should tell you my opinion pretty well. :P
