Akane Tendo
The fiancee of Ranma Saotome, a shockingly violent tomboy who desperately loves Ranma, but doesn't want to admit it even to herself as she tries beating off all the other girls Ranma got engaged to (Ukyo, Shampoo) and who just sort of obsess over him (Kodachi). Not only that, but she needs to ward off the guys as well! Akane has a reputation as the cutest girl at school, and Ranma-chan gives her a run for her money as Ranma has a number of Male stalkers as well (Kuno).
Despite her feelings towards Ranma, she make it very difficult when she does various violent things to him, even though he's the better martial artist, he won't fight girls. So he's constantly being beaten, sometimes for things he hasn't even done (yet), mostly it comes from the never ending teasing he does to her just to... I guess be ground to a pulp. While she's without a doubt cute, even sexy when she wants to be... Akane's rampant violence SHOULD put a damper on Ranma's attraction to her. Unless she beat him that stupid ^_^
It is interesting to note the Long/Short hairstyles, for those of you unfamiliar with the series Akane had long hair at the beginning of the series up until Ryoga showed up later in the first season. An incident involving Ryoga wielding a belt that could chop down trees and a kick from Ranma that caused him to lose control of his weapon led to the drastic change in style. ^_^;
