The Japanese have been obsessed with making things completely out of translucent plastic for some time now. Refrigerators, Game systems, TVs, and most notoriously… toys. Rockman X here is no exception from the “Skeletal” obsession, but this isn’t a bad thing! When done right, the translucent effect is worth having and I wouldn’t mind a room filled with this stuff ^_^ To accurately point out WHAT this was before you could see right through him, remember the FIRST Megaman X/Rockman X game? This is him in his ultimate armored state. The swift leg armor, the impenetrable breastplate, the unstoppable helmet… and if you knew how… Ryu’s hadoken fireball attack!!! :D

Overall: X has about 15 points of articulation if he has two hands, a lot more than I had actually expected. Standing straight he’s about 4 inches tall. I got this because I’m a die hard fan of the mega man, thus I couldn’t stop myself. As an objective figure collector though I still say his worth picking up, but don’t bother getting for over $20 and this also goes for all the other figures in the Mega Armor series. If you’re out to collect Mega Man stuff, then go crazy. If you aren’t a big fan I still recommend him, but don’t get ripped off.
When you first get X, he’s footless and forearmless. Naked save for the sky blue thighs, midsection and biceps, gold chest and calves and head… as well a hole through his groin area. Yowza. Along with X you get 2 sets of hands, a sheet of decals, and a few plastic trees of clear plastic armor pieces and plastic caps for the joints.
Quite simple, snap together parts make for few frustrations followed by some decal arranging. Once finished you have some optional arms and forearms to choose from. He has 2 sets of hands, one being completely open handed and the others being clenched fists. He has 3 forearms, 2 of which connect to one hand each then to the arm and then there’s his X-buster arm which can be placed on either arm.
