Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040

Tekyu in a Jar presents...

A new story of the Bubblegum Crisis...

In the year 2040, following the devastation of the quake that leveled much of Tokyo, Boomers (Voomers?!?), robots combining the thought faculties of a human with the power and abilities of a machine brought a new peace and tranquility to the new city that stands taller and brighter than tokyo once did. GENOM the company who manufactures boomers, has turned its eyes towards control of the worlds energy resources and with its grasp on the world almost as a whole getting stronger every day few things stand between the frail Quincy & Mason and world domination. Save one group of powered armor wearing heroines, the Knight Sabers! Acting as both mercenaries and vigilantes they seek to thwart GENOM at every turn and keep the city safe from the unstable danger that all boomers seem to pose. Familiar people, Familiar place, awesome music, new setting and a brand new war!

THIS is Bubblegum Crisis in TOKYO 2040!

Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040 - TV Series (DVD 1-6)

As of 8/25/03, The Tokyo 2040 series is available from ADV Films with French, English and Spanish dubs as well as Japanese with subtitles. You'll find it on a crapload of VHS tapes, 6 DVDs or in a Perfect Collection boxed set.
You can also snag an aluminum box for your 6 DVD set in any variety of way. Whether you've bought the perfect collection, all the DVDs individually or don't have them at all, ADV Films has all three choices available at their online store and you'll also find them at Rightstuf.com. Both have the box listed at $32.99 and the run is limited to 1000 so grab as grab can!

The Series is honestly better than I gave it credit for as I finally completed my collection of the DVDs and after Vol.2 CRUSADE, the series picks up and becomes soooo much better. ^_^ While the animation continues to hiccup (from really good, to okay, back to really good to crappy, etc.), the voice acting on the part of the dubbing is exceptional. The English dub is SO good I prefer it to the subtitled! ^_^
