Well, the purpose of this site used to be to post my fanfic, but now, although I'll still keep the stories up, it's just for me to say what I want about Hanson, since I don't write about them anymore. It takes too much time and effort to keep up with a story, and to tell the truth, Hanson just doesn't matter that much to me anymore. I used to think I'd never say that; two years ago, they were my life. But now I've found other things, other tangible things: real people, a job, God. Things that I know I can have, and do have. Hanson is just a dream that I'd like to think could come true... but it's not worth spending a significant amount of time or energy over. So I'll still go to their shows and read their articles and listen to their CDs, but you probably can't expect me to write anything about them myself, unless it's just a random comment. They will always be in the "Good Memories" box in my head, but other than that... I'd like to say goodbye to fandom.
I have to say this: I stole all the pictures from Hansonline.com, except for the one on the opening page, which I got from someone else... it's been so long, I don't remember who. I have a feeling, though, that they stole it off of Hansonline, judging by the professional look of the picture. Probably not something you'd see in Teen Beat. Also, I only cropped the www.hansonline.com credit from the pictures for effect reasons. I'm not trying to claim them as my own. :)
::This description was written a year ago... I'm keeping it up for old times' sake. While the song still does remind me of Hanson, I certainly don't feel this strongly about them anymore, but it's nice to remember how important Hanson was to me at one time.::
While I'm giving credits... I got the title for this site from "Motorcycle Drive By" by Third Eye Blind. Stephan Jenkins is a genius, methinks. The lyrics are amazing, and when I was trying to name this site, well, they popped into my head. The person Stephan is describing in the song really reminds me of Hanson, among a few other people, because she's so seperate from everyone else. She's flying around, completely oblivious to what's going on in the minds of the people around her, and I think that's kind of the way Isaac, Taylor, and Zac are to a lot of their fans. At least, that's the way I saw them when I wrote my stories about them. So I think that's why "Motorcycle.." came into my head when I named this site. Also, all of this really is a piece of me, when you think about it. Here we go...
Visions of you on a motorcycle drive by
Cigarette ash flies in your eyes and you don't mind
You smile
And say the world it doesn't fit you,
I don't believe you,
You're so serene.
Careening through the universe,
Your axis on a tilt,
You're guiltless and free,
I hope you take a piece of me with you...
