He sighed as he hung up and walked over to his wife. He handed her a tiny ball.
MAN: Give this ball to our son when he becomes older. I have to leave, but I'll return. I love you both. Farewell.
He kissed his family before he left. He found himself in front of a building which he entered. He went inside an office where he found a note on a desk which he read.
Hey there, Brat Boy! By the time you read this, I'll be on vacation. You're in charge of the Gym until I return. Your Pokemon from your childhood are somewhere in this building. Okie dokie then! Take care!
The man didn't appreciate being called a brat boy. He searched for the creatures...
Ash was a young lad who wanted to become a Pokemon Master ever since he saw an ad for it. He loved his Pokemon, which turned out to be Pikachu. He knew that he didn't have a father so he decided to look for him after deciding to visit Professor Oak to show off Pikachu. The Professor greeted him.
PROFESSOR OAK: Hello, Ash. Hello, Pikachu.
He let them in.
ASH: Do you know who my father is?
PROFESSOR OAK: Which one?
ASH: Huh?
PROFESSOR OAK: Oh! Uhhhh...
His eyes darted. He juggled Pokeballs as a distraction to Ash. The Pokemon within exclaimed "Ow! Ow! Ow!"
ASH: I wish I knew where my father was.
The Professor gave him a map. He gave him verbal directions first.
PROFESSOR OAK: Take your time. Ash.
Ash was confused before he left to find his father. Professor Oak heard a loud crash behind him and turned around. He noticed that most of his lab had been destroyed. He saw Team Rocket who were about to speak until he yelled at them.
PROFESSOR OAK: MY LAB!
He yelled at Team Rocket and used profanity as they ran away.
JAMES: We never even got to say our motto!
JESSIE: Just shut up and keep running!
Ash's mother approached the Professor.
ASH'S MOM: Now we won't have any privacy.
PROFESSOR OAK: You're right.
ASH'S MOM: We could always go to my place.
PROFESSOR OAK: Good idea.
At Team Rocket HQ, Jessie, James, and Meowth watched their leader pet his Persian. He wore a red suit. His dark hair was slicked back. He scowled as always.
MEOWTH: Don't look at us like that, boss!
BOSS: Explain to me why you failed to steal Professor Oak's Pokemon.
JESSIE: Professor Oak wouldn't let us start our motto.
JAMES: He started yelling.
MEOWTH: Why did you want us to steal his Pokemon anyway?
The leader turned his chair around as tears nearly escaped his eyes.
BOSS: My first pokemon was Mew. My mother gave it to me one day. Mew and I were best friends. We always played. It usually hovered while giggling. At first I called it Moo since I was too young at the time to pronounce Mew.
JAMES: What does Mew have to do with Professor Oak?
BOSS: Don't interrupt! One evening, Mew and I played near the streets of Viridian City. Mew hovered in the middle of one of the streets. A car hit it and stopped. I ran over to Mew and held it as I looked up at the driver who happened to be a young Professor Oak. He told me that it was a complete accident and that he never saw Mew. My mother comforted me after Mew died in my arms. I cried uncontrollably. I never forgave Professor Oak to this day. As I became older, I created a duplicate of Mew. Well, a larger one anyway. The reason why I wanted you to capture his Pokemon was so that he would know how it feels to be alone without your best friends.
MEOWTH: How did you meet Persian?
BOSS: He approached me when Mew died. He started licking my face. We became instant friends.
He stood.
BOSS: I'm going to prepare the Gym.
He walked away. Meowth smiled at the Persian as he revealed an electric razor...After his revenge, he admired Persian's new look.
MEOWTH: Who's the pretty kitty now?
He, Jessie, and James fled when the boss walked over to his bald Persian.
MEOWTH: 1... 2...
He heard the boss scream from all the way down the hall. The boss had a mild heart attack.
BOSS: My beautiful Persian!
PERSIAN: Meow!
The boss sighed as he went over to the Gym.
Ash followed the map's directions. He looked up and saw a building. He entered it. He found himself on a platform facing a man with an armor clad Pokemon.
BOSS: Greetings! I'm the leader of Viridian City Gym. You are?
ASH: Ash Ketchum! I have come here to see my father!
BOSS: Battle me first.
ASH: OK! One Pokemon each?
The man nodded.
ASH: I'll use Pikachu.
BOSS: I'll use Mewtwo.
Ash stared in awe at the armor clad creature.
BOSS: Let the battle begin!
Pikachu automatically used its electricity which didn't even make Mewtwo move! Mewtwo used telekinesis to lift Pikachu in the air and cause it unbearable agony before dropping it. Pikachu couldn't lose. Just then, white energy surrounded it! It grew up as it changed its appearance. It was now brown, yellow, white, and black. The boss gasped.
BOSS: A Raichu? It must have evolved out of love for its trainer.
Raichu used an enormous amount of electricity to shatter Mewtwo's armor and injure it despite its psychic barrier!
BOSS: Well done, Ash. Your bond with your Pokemon is quite powerful.
ASH: Wait a minute! How do you know...?
BOSS: I'm related to you.
ASH: How?
BOSS: I married your mother. Hint! Hint!
He showed his wedding ring to Ash.
ASH: Why did you abandon me?
BOSS: My mom was on vacation for quite awhile. She still is. She left me in charge of Team Rocket and Viridian City Gym. I'll return to Pallet Town as soon as she arrives. Let's call your mom and see how she's doing. Ash followed him into the office where there was a phone attached to a TV. The man dialed the number and gasped when he saw his wife in bed with Professor Oak!
ASH'S MOTHER: Who are you? Why are you with Ash?
BOSS: I'm his father. I'm still your husband, right?
ASH'S MOTHER: I married Professor Oak when Ash was one year old.
Professor Oak pulled down an eyelid and displayed his tongue at the boss. He noticed Ash and Raichu.
PROFESSOR OAK: I see that your Pikachu evolved, Ash.
ASH'S MOTHER: Good news, Ash! You're going to have a new brother or sister!
PROFESSOR OAK: Who's that man again?
BOSS: You killed Mew when I was a child. Now you have a baby with my wife!
Professor Oak looked up as he pretended to be innocent.
PROFESSOR OAK: I don't know what you're talking about.
BOSS: You told me that Mew's death was an accident.
PROFESSOR OAK: I...don't remember!
BOSS: My best friend died in my arms.
Ash pitied his father.
MRS. OAK: Anyway, I can't wait to see you, Ash.
The man hung up as he sobbed and removed his wedding ring. He embraced Ash as tears were made obvious.
BOSS: I love you, Ash.
ASH: We could still be a family.
The boss sighed as he exited the office and put a gun to his head...Ash wept over his father's dead body. Meanwhile, Team Rocket wandered through HQ. Meowth tapped on Jessie's leg when he saw something frightening. Jessie and James shared his terror as the bald Persian was eager to avenge its former beauty.
