CHAPTER ONE
"Where should we go next?" asked Misty. "How about there?" asked Ash, pointing to a large building. "What is it?" asked Tracey, getting a closer look. He read a large sign: "Pokemon Hotel. With shows, great food..." "Food!? Great! I'm starved, come on!" yelped Misty, dragging Ash and Tracey inside. "WOW!" said Ash, looking around. "This place is a palace!" exclaimed Tracey. The floor was so shiny and clean, the walls were marble blue, and in the corner, near the door, was a large statue of a new Pokemon. "What is that?" asked Ash, pointing Dexter to the statue. Dexter didn't speak. "Stupid thing!" yelled Ash. "CALM DOWN, ASH!" screamed Misty. "Come on, guys." said Tracey, walking to the front desk. What Pokemon is that? wondered Ash, walking closer to the statue. Ash was just about to reach his hand out to feel the statue, when a voice rang out. "NO! Touch that, and you are outta here!" Ash was so startled, his hand hit the statue! "NO!" yelled the voice again. "What, what? Sorry!" yelled Ash. When he turned around, he saw...Duplica!? "Duplica! How is Ditto?" asked Misty, hugging Duplica. "Oh, he is just dandy! Sorry, Ash, but that is Ms. Dragy's. I didn't know who you were!" exclaimed Duplica, hugging Ash. "Where is Brock?" "Uhhhhh, mmm...he's at some island!" said Tracey. "Who are you?" snapped Duplica. "Oh, uh, my name is Tracey, I'm a Pokemon Watcher!" said Tracey, shaking Duplica's hand. Ash was thrilled to see Duplica again. Suddenly, he looked her over again. "AAAGGHHH!" screamed Ash, falling backwards. "Ash?! What's wrong?" asked Misty, helping him up. "Uh, uh, mmm, never mind..." said Ash. Ash hugged Misty, and whispered, "That isn't Duplica." Misty went bug-eyed. Ash backed away from her. Misty burst out laughing! "I don't know what's so funny, but here's your hotel keys." said Duplica.
CHAPTER TWO
Ash, Misty and Tracey go to their rooms. Misty's is a big suite, Tracey has a king-sized bubble bath, and Ash... "Agggh! Oh no!!" he yelled, looking at his key card, then at the door to his room. "I...I...I'm in the same room as Misty, AGGH!" Ash dragged his feet into the room, Pikachu at his heels. When he opened the door, he saw Misty lying on the bed, watching "Pokemon in Love." "AGGH!" she yelled, throwing a pillow at the door. "Misty!" Ash boomed, causing Pikachu to jump. "It's me!" He walked slowly towards the bed. "Oh!" she gasped, holding her throat. "I just finished watching 'Dracula on Ice,' and it freaked me out!" She blushed, but she shook it off fast. "What are you doing in my room!?" she demanded, looking at Ash. "We are stuck with the same room!" he cried, sitting on the bed. He pushed Misty over, and started watching T.V. Misty groaned. She got up and jumped to the phone. "Hello, room service, we've got a bit of a problem! My friend and I got the same room! Oh...I see....bye!" "So where is another room for you?" Ash asked, taking his hat off and stretching. Misty's face went light red. "All the rooms are full!" she whined. "Go stay with Tracey! PLEASE!" she begged him. But he wouldn't dare leave in the middle of the movie! "But Misty, I gotta tell ya something...about Duplica..." he started, but Misty went redder. "She isn't!" he gasped, starting to whisper. "I don't CARE!" she yelled. "I am tired, please go away!" She grabbed Ash's hat and Pikachu. She opened the double doors and threw them out. Then, she turned to Ash. Ash got the idea, and quickly ran out too. It took Ash about a half hour to find Tracey's room. He knocked, but got no answer. He knocked again, and still got no answer. Finally, Ash decided that Tracey was asleep, so he would just wait. But to his surprise, the door was open! He opened it, and walked through the mini-living room. The T.V. was on, but Tracey wasn't in there. He walked to the bedroom to see...nothing. Tracey was missing!? Ash gasped. Tracey's drawings were all over the floor, in piles and ripped heaps! Someone was here! Ash turned, and ran for his almost-sane life. Was he seeing things? Or was it true? Ash ran through the living and straight out the door, to Misty's room. "Aggh!" Ash stopped, and cold prickled his back. Pikachu was still on his shoulder, and Ash turned slowly. He saw two little girls, about 6 years old. Ash smiled. "Hey!" he said, in a lovely voice. "Can you take me to suite number 974?" The twin girls said nothing. Just then, Ash noticed something strange about them...he could see through them! "AGGGGGGGGHHHHH!" he yelped. The twins' eyes glowed red. "Come Ash, come play with us!" they said together. "AGGH!" he yelled. "Pikachu, THUNDERSHOCK, NOW!" A bolt of yellow electricity hit the girls, but bounced off. "AGGGGGGGGHHH!" he yelled, and ran around the corner. But the girls started chasing him! He ran to Misty's suite. "Finally!" he yelled, barging in. He locked the door behind him. He saw Misty, still lying on the bed, but watching a different movie. "Misty! A ghost...following...me!" Ash gasped, out of breath. "Ash!" said Misty, jumping up and running to him "Are you ok?" She touched his face. Ash just noticed he was bleeding, but from what was a different question. "Tracey...gone! Ghosts are...following me!" he yelled, holding the door. Misty froze when she heard the word 'ghost.' "Ash!" she yelled. "You are making no sense!" Suddenly, she stared at Ash's shoulder. "EEEEEP! Uh...uh..." Ash turned, and saw the two ghost's heads sticking through the door! Ash and Misty looked at each other. Now they had nowhere to run. Misty gasped, and turned to Ash, stiff. Ash backed away from the door, Pikachu ran to the window. "Great idea Pikachu!" he said, he ran to the window, and looked out. "Oh, no way!" said Misty, looking at the window. "You know I am afraid of high places, and anyway, we are 4 floors up!" She started to back against the door, then saw the two girls step through the doors completly. She ran to the other side, near the window. "Either me or them." she said, trying to lift up the window "Agh, oh no!" Ash said. "It's locked from the outside!" "Pika!" gasped Pikachu, trying to pull it open. "Chu, pika pi?" "Agh, oh no!" screamed Misty. The girls came closer, so close she could touch them. "Get away, go away!" she screamd. "Hm..." Ash said, as the twins stood there, waving their arms. "I got it!" He turned to the girls. "Ok..." he said "What is it you want?" They looked at each other, shrugged, then turned back to them, waving their arms. "Ok then!" screamed Misty. She started waving her arms too. "Agh!" Ash said/ "Misty, what are ya doing?" He grabbed Pikachu, and was ready to run through the window if he had to. "I can't...stop!" said Misty. "Why won't it stop?" Ash grabbed a Pokeball from his belt. "Don't make me use it..." he said, looking at the girls. They stared at him, then waved their arms and legs. He started to do it too. "Agh, stop it!" he said. "Pikachu!" he turned to Pikachu, who was on the window, and waving its' arms too! "PIKACHU!" "Pika...pi!" Pikachu yelled. Just then, the door was kicked open by someone in a lab coat, with a big machine on their back! "Ok! One...two..." they began. "...9!" He started dancing around, waving his arms. His face was in a mask, but it moved up and down. "What is he doing?" demanded Misty, still waving around. "Help us!" "I AM!" scowled the man. "Use your Pokemon!" he said, his voice muffled by the mask. "Go Bulbasaur!" Ash yelled, and a beam of light emerged from his belt. "Bulbasaur, Tackle those twins!" he said. Bulbasaur ran at the twins, but stopped, and started dancing too! With the man still gliding around, and everyone else dancing, they thought it would never end. "Go, Starmie!" shouted Misty, and something big and round came out of her red backpack. It was yellow, and had two duck feet. "AGH!" she shouted. "Not you, Psyduck!" Psyduck stood there, then fell asleep. "I choose you, Squirtle!" Ash said, and sure enough Squirtle came out of its Pokeball, but as soon as it did, it started dancing too! "Oh no!" Ash screamed. "Hurry up! I don't wanna miss my stories!" said the dancing man, distracing the twin. "Professor Oak!?" Ash gasped. "IS that you?" The man did nothing but the hokey pokey. "Go...Goldeen!" said Misty. "I choose you, Snorlax!" said Ash. When the Pokemon emerged, they all started dancing, even Snorlax, who was just in the middle of his nap! "Go, Staryu, Poliwag!" shouted Misty, her arms getting tired from moving against her own will. "Go, everyone!" said Ash, and everyone's Pokemon were dancing, except Psyduck, who wanted some beauty sleep. "Hey, how come Psyduck isn't bothered by the girls?" Ash gasped. "Because..." said the man, who was dancing with the twins, "He has psychic powers!" "Psyduck, we need you!" said Misty, dancing her way over to Psyduck. "Psyduck!" But Psyduck was sound asleep. "PSYDUCK, WAKE UP!" shouted Misty. "Psy...?" said the Pokemon, waking up, and staring at the twins. They stopped dancing, and when they did, everyone else did. With one last glance at Psyduck, they raced out the door. "Glad that is over!" said Misty, recalling every Pokemon except Psyduck. Ash recalled everyone, and stared at the man. "Who are you?" he demanded. "And how come they were afriad of a duck? And what are they? And how come..." "One at a time!" said the man, cutting Ash off. He took off the lab mask to reveal...Duplica!
