The New Adventures of Dan

CHAPTER ONE: I CHOOSE YOU, PIKACHU "Pokemon, I choose you!" Danny Banks, a 12 year old boy from Pallet Town, is on his way to Prof. Oak's house to get his first Pokemon. "Hi Professor," I said as I walked in the door. "Sorry I couldn't come last year or the year before, I was on vacation on the week of my birthday." Just then I spotted Ash Ketchum getting shocked by a Pikachu. "I'lll meeet yooou ouuutsiiide!" he said. "So Professor," I said, "What Pokemon are left for me?" "Sadly, none," he said, "But I do have this Master Ball here. Catch a Pokemon with it, bring it back, and I'll take note of what you caught. Here's a self-upgrading Pokedex. Point it at a Pokemon and it will tell you something about it. Oh, here are your other five Pokeballs." As soon as I got on Route 1, a beam of white light came down from the sky. When the light went away, it left behind a strange, catlike Pok'emon with a very long tail. I pointed my Pokedex at it. DING! "Mew, a new species of Pokemon. It is so rare even the people that have seen it think it is just a mirage." "Okay, Master Ball go!" I said, and threw it at the Pokemon. The Master Ball shook once, twice, thrice, DING! "Yes!" I said, "I caught Mew!" As I was running back to the lab, I called to Ash, "I'll be out after I show Prof. Oak my first Pokemon!" "So Dan, what did you catch?" said the Prof. " Pokeball, go," I said. "Mew," said my first Pokemon. "Oh my!" said the Prof. as he fell to the floor with a DONK! "Hey Ash!" I said as I walked outside, seeing him with the Pikachu on a leash made out of a clothesline, "What's wrong with your Pikachu?" "It won't obey me," he said. "I'll see what I can do with it. Hey Pikachu! Don't you want to be friends with Ash?" I said. "Pi," it said, shaking its head. "I gave it my best shot," I said. "Sorry!" "That's okay," said Ash. Just then, a Pidgey appeared. Ash pointed his Pokedex at it. DING! "Pidgey, a bird Pokemon. Pidgey is very gentle and easy to capture. It is a perfect target for a beginning trainer to test his Pokemon's skills." "Alright Pikachu, go get it!" said Ash. "Pi," said Pikachu, running up a tree. "Alright I get the message," said Ash, "I don't want your help, or need it! I can get that thing, all by myself!" Meanwhile, I was trying to catch a Pidgey of my own. "Mew, finish it with Pound!" "Mew!" it replied, making the Pokemon faint. "Pokeball, go!" I shouted. It shook once, twice, thrice, DING! "Yes!" I said, while jumping in the air, "I got a Pidgey!" Then I heard a loud cry. "Spearow!" It said, and suddenly a whole flock of them appeared. I pointed my Pokedex at them. DING! "Spearow, a tiny bird Pok'emon. Unlike Pidgey, Spearow has a terrible attitude. It is sometimes known to attack other Pokemon and humans." Then I saw a Spearow try to dive bomb me. "Mew, Psychic," I said, and Spearow fell to the ground, unconscious. Then I said, "Pokeball, go!" It shook once, twice, thrice, DING! Spearow was caught! Then I saw Ash, with Pikachu in his arms, preparing to jump off a cliff into a river below. "Wait Ash! We can just fly across on...Mew," I said, just as he leapt from the edge to the water below with a SPLASH! As I was flying across on Mew, I happened to see a girl pull Ash out of the water with a fishing rod. I could just barely hear what they were saying. "Nah, it's just a kid," said the girl, "Oh! And a Pokemon! My name's Misty, are you okay?" "Yeah, I'm okay," Ash said. "Not you!" said Misty, "Is it breathing?" That was all I heard. Then, after a few seconds, Ash took off on Misty's bike. It started to rain. I lost sight of Ash for awhile, and when I found him again, Pikachu was on the ground behind him, and he was challenging the Spearows. When they started to dive bomb him, Pikachu jumped toward him and used his strongest attack, Thunder. There was a huge explosion, and all the Spearows fainted. Ash and Pikachu were blown back about ten feet! Then a giant bird Pokemon appeared right in front of me. I pointed my Pokedex at it. DING! "Houou, a psychic bird Pokemon. It is said to follow the destined greatest Pokemon master of all time." "Pidgey, go! Keep me up in the air," I said, then, "Okay Mew, Mega Punch, now!" "Mew!" it said, almost knocking Houou out of the air. "Houou!" said the bird. Then I said, "Mew, while he's still weak, Psychic! Now, Pokeball, go!" It shook once, twice, thrice, DING! "Yes!" I said, "I caught Houou!"

CHAPTER TWO: POKEMON EMERGENCY! Ash and Dan continue their journey to Viridian City, with Misty close behind. Will Pikachu and Ash be all right? Let's find out. I took Ash and Pikachu to the Viridian City Pokemon Center via Houou and Spearow. When we got there, I put Ash down on the couch, where he woke up. I then gave Nurse Joy Pikachu and all my Pokemon so they could be healed. Then Ash went over to the phone to call his mom. After a somewhat short conversation, I heard a voice behind me. "There you are!" the girl said. It was Misty! "Whoa, what happened to your bike?" said Ash. "What happened to my bike!" said Misty, "You happened to my bike, you little loser! This is all that's left after you stole it to save your Pokemon!" "I'm sorry about your bike," said Ash, "but I can't do anything about it now, until..." "Look, I don't want any of your dumb excuses kid, I just want a new bike right now!" Misty screamed. "It's my Pikachu, my Pikachu's not too good," Ash said. "Dan and your Pokemon are just fine," Nurse Joy said to Ash as she walked into the room. Then Ash asked, "Where's Pikachu?" "Your Pikachu is resting," said Nurse Joy, as two Chansey rolled him in on a stretcher, "It needs some time to recover in the recovery room. You should go in with it Ash." Just then, the room filled with smoke, and two figures appeared. They said, "Prepare for trouble!" "Make that double!" "To protect the world from devastation!" "To unite all peoples within our nation!" "To denounce the evils of truth and love!" "To extend our reach to the stars above!" "Jessie!" "James!" "Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!" "Surrender now or prepare to fight!" "Meowth! That's right!" said a Meowth, jumping down from above. "Huh?" said Ash. "You just don't get it do you?" said Jessie. "How can I," said Ash, "you don't make any sense." Jessie said, "We're here for the Pokemon!" "You're not getting Pikachu!" said Ash. "We seek only rare and valuable Pokemon," said James, "we're not interested in your precious little electric rat!" "You're wasting your time!" said Joy, "This is a center for weak and injured Pokemon!" "That may be so," said Jessie, "but I wouldn't be at all surprised if we found a few little Pokemon gems among all the junk." "You're not getting the Pokemon!" exclaimed Joy, as she directed us to a back room. Suddenly, the lights went out. "They must have cut the power. But that's okay, because we have our own Pika Power source!" Then I heard a noise to the left of me. It was a bunch of Pikachu! "Oh, look at all the Pikachu!" said Misty. "Pika, pika, chu, chu!" they said over and over again. Suddenly the door broke open. "Save those Pokeballs!" shouted Nurse Joy. "Mew, go!" I shouted, "Scoop up all the Pokeballs with your Psychic attack!" "Ash! Dan! Make a run for it with Pikachu!" yelled Misty. Team Rocket stopped us in the lobby, causing Pikachu to wake up. "Koffing, go!" shouted James. "Ekans, go!" shouted Jessie. Then Pikachu said, "Pika pika," and a lot of Pikachu jumped over a wall, coming to his aid. They suddenly shocked Koffing and Ekans. Then Meowth walked up to Pikachu and said, "This mouse is cat food, Meowth!" Mew suddenly came in front of Pikachu and at the same time as Pikachu, it attacked, too. Then, suddenly, an explosion occurred, and the whole Pokemon Center blew up. Team Rocket was blown high into the air and they said, "It looks like Team Rocket is blasting off!" Later, after the dust settled and the fire was put out, Nurse Joy said, "If you're looking for Pokemon, the Viridian Forest is right over there." "Then let's go to Viridian Forest!" said Ash. And off we went.

CHAPTER THREE: ASH CATCHES A POKEMON! Our heroes have made it to Viridian Forest. I wonder if Ash or Dan will catch any new Pokemon? "When are we ever going to get out of this forest?" asked Misty. "As soon as we catch more Pokemon!" said Ash and I at the same time. Suddenly there was a rumbling in the bushes. A worm-like Pokemon came out. It was a Caterpie. "Alright Caterpie, I'm going to catch you!" Ash said. Then, he threw a Pokeball at the Caterpie. The ball shook once, twice, thrice, DING! "Yeah! I caught my first Pokemon!" Ash said, jumping in the air. "Pikachu!" said Pikachu, making the peace sign. Just then, a bird Pokemon flew down from the sky. I pointed my Pokedex at it. DING! "Pidgeotto, a bird Pokemon. Unlike Pidgey, Pidgeotto is very dangerous. Approach with extreme caution." While Ash was trying feebly to catch the Pidgeotto, I had encountered a Spearow. "Go, Pidgey!" I said, "Gust, now!" A small tornado of wind hit the Spearow. It barely noticed it had been attacked! "Pidgey, Wing Attack!" The Spearow dove below the attack and Pecked Pidgey from behind. Pidgey started glowing bright white. "Pidgeotto!" it said. It had evolved! Pidgeotto then finished the Spearow off with a Quick Attack. It was powerful! Spearow was down for the count. "Pidgeotto, return." I said. It turned into a beam of light and was sucked back into the Pokeball. "Hey Dan!" Ash said. "I caught a Pidgeotto!" "Wow, my Pidgey evolved into a Pidgeotto while you caught yours!" I said. I then heard some voices down the path. "Prepare for trouble!" said Jessie. "Make that double!" said James. "To protect the world from devastation!" "To unite all peoples within our nation!" "To denounce the evils of truth and love!" "To extend our reach to the stars above!" "Jessie!" "James!" "Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!" "Surrender now or prepare to fight!" "Meowth, that's right!" said Meowth. "Mew, go!" I said, throwing his Pokeball. "Ekans, go!" said Jessie. Then James said, "Koffing, go! Sludge Attack!" "Koffing!" said his Pokemon as it spit sludge all over Mew and Pikachu's eyes. "Pidgeotto, I choose you!" said Ash as he threw Pidgeotto's Pokeball. "Koffing, Smog Attack!" said James. His Koffing breathed smog all around Pidgeotto, who blew it away with one flap of its wings. Then Ash commanded, "Pidgeotto, Wing Attack!" Pidgeotto flew straight up, followed by Koffing and Ekans. It tried to hit Ekans, but missed, and Koffing Tackled it from behind. "Pidgeotto, return!" said Ash while it fell from the sky. "Let me give it a shot." I said, taking a Pokeball off my belt. "Houou, I choose you!" "Houou!" it said, flapping its wings. "All right James," said Jessie, "Let's show them that we can take that thing!" "Are you sure we can beat that?" asked James. "Sure I'm sure. Besides, if we get this Pokemon, the boss will promote us for sure!" "Well, okay. If you say so, Jessie. Koffing, Poison Gas Attack!" "All right Houou, Fire Blast now!" A giant star of flame shot out of the bird's mouth, blowing Koffing and the rest of Team Rocket back into a net made by Ash's Caterpie's String Shot. Caterpie then used String Shot to tie them up like mummies. "Caterpie, Tackle now!" shouted Ash, as Caterpie tackled Team Rocket and their Pokemon into the sky. "It looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!" Right after I returned Houou, Misty yelled to them, "Come back any time, we'll be glad to beat you!" Then she stuck her tongue out at them. Just then, Caterpie started doing String Shot straight up into the air, so it fell around him. Caterpie started glowing white, then changed form. It now looked like a giant cocoon. It evolved into a Metapod! A Beedrill then flew by. "Aaaaahhhh!" screamed Misty, "I don't care how long it takes to do it, I just want to get out of this forest!" "Okay then, let's go!" I said. Ash stuck Metapod in his backpack and ran after us. We were on our way to Viridian City! TO BE CONTINUED...
