CHAPTER ONE
"OK, everyone listen up!" Abra screamed with all his might. He had to scream over all the young Pokemon in the school yard. "My birthday party is tomorrow, Saturday, at 1:00 in the afternoon. If everyone can come that would be great! There's even going to be a magic show that my lovely assistant and I will be putting on. It will be great. I mean with tricks and everything. Please come." "So who is your lovely assistant?" said a Doduo as the other head laughed. "Well, no other than the great and mystical Mew!" "Well, this party doesn't sound too great!" an Ekans hissed. "It will, it will! There will be candy and goody bags. Please come." Abra pleaded. "It will be great, don't you worry." said Mew, strong and tall. "Fine, we'll come." said all the Pokemon in the yard. Suddenly the bell rang, and everyone had to go back in.
CHAPTER TWO
"Mom, Mom! Everyone said they would come!" Abra screamed excitedly as he ran through the doors. "Everyone!" Abra's mom laughed. "Well, everyone in my grade." "Oh dear, you made me nervous." "Sorry." "It's OK, don't worry." "Well anyway, Mew and I are going to go get our costumes for the magic show." "OK, have fun!" Abra's mom said as the kids ran out of the house and down the block. Abra and Mew arrived at the costume shop. They knew exactly what they were looking for. "Do you have anything for a magician and his assistant?" "Well, ummm, let me see now." the old Pikachu who owned the shop said as he started to walk into the back of the store. Abra and Mew couldn't help but laugh because as the old Pikachu started walking to the back, little bolts of electricity would zap out of his cheeks. About ten minutes later, the old Pikachu finally walked back into the room where Mew and Abra were waiting. In his paws, he carried two big, old, dusty bags. He didn't even get to the front of the store before Mew and Abra grabbed the bags and were already in the changing rooms. Abra tore the bag open as quickly as possible to find the greatest costume he had ever seen. It was a dark blue, velvet cape with gold stars, moons, and suns all over it. It came with a pointed wizard's hat to boot. He jumped out of his room with excitement, but Mew wasn't there. "Mew, you gotta see my costume! It's great! What about yours?" "Umm, I'd rather you not see it." "Oh, come on! Please!" "No, you'll laugh." "I promise I won't. Come on." "Well OK, here goes." Mew sort of squealed as she stepped out of the curtain. Her costume was beautiful. It was a deep purple bodysuit with a beautiful velvet cape. Abra's mouth dropped so far it almost touched the floor. "You, you. . ." Abra stammered "I what?" "You, you look great!" Abra finally got out. Mew gave him a cute little smile. They both went back into their booths and took their costumes off. They paid the nice old Pikachu, and ran off to practice the trick that would amaze everybody, the vanishing box!
CHAPTER THREE
"So, how did it go at the costume shop?" Abra's Mom asked. "It went great! We got the most wonderful costumes!" "Well, can i see?" "No, we want to surprise you! Right Mew?" "Yup yup!" Mew agreed. "Well, come on Abra! We have to go practice! We can't lose any time." "Well, all right. See ya later, Mom." "OK, have fun guys!" she smiled as the two little Pokémon ran to Abra's basement. "OK, so you step into the box, I will close the curtain, say 'abra kadabra,' and then you will secretly slip out of this trap door. OK?" "All right, sounds easy enough." "Cool! This will be good!" "You're tellin' me." Mew said. Mew had another idea rather than slipping out the trap door that would make the trick alot better.
CHAPTER FOUR
"Mom, hurry up! Everyone is arriving!" Abra was very excited but also a little nervous. He could feel his stomach start to churn. Just at that second, the doorbell rang. "Well, go answer the door!" Abra's mother said with a giggle. Abra opened the door and there stood his lovely assistant with all the other little Pokémon that were invited to the party. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY ABRA!" they all screamed at the top of their lungs. Everyone was there, even Ekans and his goonie friends. They all came in, gave Abra a present, and sat down. "Well, where is this magic show you were tellin' us about?" they were all asking. "It is coming up! Wait like two seconds." "So Mew, are you ready?" "Yup, just let me get changed!" "OK!" he replied in anticipation. "I hope this goes OK." he said under his breath. "And here he is, folks, the amazing, the magnificent, the wonderful ABRA!" Abra's mother said. Abra stepped out in his beautiful costume, and everyone clapped. "And here is my lovely assistant, MEW!" Everyone started to clap. She hesitated at first, but then said to herself, "Do it for Abra." She stepped out. Everyone cheered for her and her wonderful costume. She looked at Abra and he at her and they smiled at each other. At first, they did a couple of cute little tricks. They did the two rings that stuck together, and of course, the flower wand. They went well. Everyone clapped and was very excited, but then they brought the monster trick that would impress everybody. The vanishing box! "OK everyone, this trick is called the vanishing box. I will now ask my lovely assistant Mew to step in the box." he proclaimed to the crowd. He pulled the curtain back and Mew stepped in. He closed the curtain after her. "And now I will make her disappear. ABRA KADABRA, LET HER RIP!" he screamed. As soon as he said this, the box was filled with a pink light and Mew was gone. He opened the curtain and she was gone. "Ta da!" Everyone cheered with excitment. It was a wonderful, great trick, but then who do you think stepped up to ruin it. Ekans. "Hey, I know this trick!" he said. "There is a trap door in the box! Look." "No there isn't! It is pure magic!" Abra yelled back. "Ekans, please sit down and let Abra finish his trick." Abra's mom butted in. Ekans sat down and gave Abra a mean look. Abra gave him one right back. "And now, to bring her back!" Abra closed the curtain again and said the magic words. "ABRA KADABRA, LET HER RIP!" He opened the curtain and said "Ta da!" But Mew wasn't inside. It was empty! Everyone gasped. Abra really had made Mew disappear!
