I think Russ has a great idea there. Better yet can you do live DVD's? I would love to see you sing Magnolia and How Many Moons whenever I wanted to. See you soon. Maybe you will grant my wish and do one or both of them in Keeshena. Nickie |

Good luck with the recording process, Paul. Would you consider recording your solo gigs, so that we could get some good takes off of the Coast Is Clear? If you recorded all of you solo gigs, you could take the best tracks for a possible solo live recording. Think about it! The fans would love to hear sets of songs from Poco, Changing Horses, The Coast is Clear and Firebird!!! Keep up the hard work, we love you for it! Russ |

bad weather is my favorite song of all time. My music tastes were heavily influenced by the eagles, but I will never forget finding the Poco 2 disc set the forgotten trail and hearing bad weather for the first time. Thanks Paul |

I am a Poco nut. The finest band that I have ever seen in concert. I want to see Poco in concert again. I have seen all the best. The Who, backing up Herman's Hermit's in 1967; The WHATEVERS doing WHATEVER, ETC. still..... The music I have heard at a POCO concert is beyond compare...Rusty Young is the absolute master of the Pedal Steel Guitar .. I used to wonder why he didn't just go to Nashville and simply wait for the offers to play .. but, I know what really drove POCO .. the burning desire to be ORIGINAL... I almost died when I thought the orginal POCO was actually back together in 1989.. tuff luck..however, I am more than glad to know that Paul Cotton, The Falcon Master, is still around. Paul, you keep making beautiful music, I'll keep working my *** off to keep buying it... RIDE THE COUNTRY SIDE, my buckaroo, and keep on THINKING FREE. |

I really need a live Poco fix very bad. It has been two years since I last saw you guy's in Orlando. Sure hope to see you soon. |

Hello Poco, and Paul Cotton fans! I saw Poco last year when they came to Mt. Clemens MI. Great concert on the waterfront. Had the chance to Paul and Rusty. Have known George Grantham for some time now and he "warned " them that I may get a few words with them. I was in Colorado on our Honeymoon June 98. Beautiful state. My wife Carol and I had the pleasure of meeting Richie Furay for lunch before headoing back to Michigan. Being a an "influenced " musician made all those meetings so meaningful. I am looking forward to the new Poco Cd and catching a concert. Paul, keep writing...happy New Year!!! |

Hi Everyone! It's me again. Sorry it has been so long since I've been in touch. Want to take this time to wish everyone Very Happy Holidays, and a great new year ahead in the year 2001! Speaking of New Years, Poco will be playing at the Universal Ampitheater in Los Angeles for New Year's Eve, so that should make for a great celebration. Wish all of you could be there with us - and look forward to seeing those of you who can be there. Plans for recording the next Poco album are underway and it should be out in early summer. I'm also planning some solo performances next year, so will keep you informed as more info becomes available. Once again, I look forward to seeing you all next year. Happy Trails to you All, Ho=Ho-Ho - Santa Pauley |

Howdy Paul, First I would like to thank you for all the great music you've made over the years. I realy like your new CD Firebird. My favorite song by you is Ride the Country. I like the new version very much. It was nice to hear Rusty playing on the CD also. I've had the pleasure of seeing you perform several times over the years (with POCO) its been awhile now! I fist started listening to Poco around 1970 its timeless music. You have a Great Year and GOOD LUCK always, keep on making Music, Thanks from Dave |

I have absolutely no idea how I stubbled on to this web page. But I sure am glad I did. My mother and father use to frequent the Brown Derby in the Heights. I remember ISP well. Do you remember a Chicago area band named J.C.Heartsfield? The South side wasn't such a bad place to grow up in the sixties (and 70's). Love your stuff. |

Rob Ernst | 28/Nov/2000:19:16:03 | |
Paul, I just wanted to express my thanks for all the hard work and great music you've given us over these *ahem* many years. It was such an honor to meet you at the Little Bear and speak with you. Like meeting one of the Beatles. It was great to hear you, Jock and Rusty trading licks over those 3 songs too. I also saw Poco at the Grizzly Rose and Loveland's Rialto Theatre. I have to say that the sound at the Rialto was top notch and the only venue that truly did justice to the vocals. And wasn't it especially fun at the Griz to have Richie play. Just awesome was "Good Feeling to Know", "Kind Woman", "Pickin' Up the Pieces" and "On the Way Home". Poco just does a fantastic rendition of that classic Buff Springfield tune. And your accoustic version of "Bad Weather" is just so fine. Poco should consider doing a LIVE CD soon. You guys have it all there for a smash hit...ala Peter Frampton. I would love to hear Poco do "Railroad Days" and "Ride the Country". I also love you |

Paul: It's great to see a site that pays tribute to a great talent. I have very fond memories of seeing Poco at Perkins Palace in Pasadena, CA in November 1980. I saw you outside the building and was too surprised to ask you for an autograph! No matter, as I saw you and Poco a little over two years later (Nov.- Dec. 1982) at a little club in Downtown San Francisco (can't remember the name) and got your autograph and Rusty's on the cover of "Ghost Town." I couldn't believe my luck to see you both walking through the seating area before the show, and you both were so nice to sign it for me and exchange pleasantries. Eighteen years later, I still have and treasure that album, as well as those memories. I am looking forward to hearing "Firebird," and hope that you'll be up this way for a show sometime in the not-too-distant future! Thanks for all the years of great music, and the years to come! Art O'Brien, Minneapolis MN |

Paul, Just a quick note that Firebird is simply a wonderful CD - I got it when it was first released and have played it continuously in the car CD player - great variety of musical styles, wonderful musicianship, and great lyrics. Keep it up - It makes life great. Also just got The Sky Kings CD from Rhino so I'm set for a while but really hope you guys pull together a new Poco CD as well. Take care. |

Paul: Iloved the shows at the grizzly rose and in Loveland. It was a wonderful trip for me. Meeting the members of Poco with Richie was a 30 year dream come true. Do you still have my From the Inside album? I realize George arrived late and you were busy. If I can get it back itwould be wonderful as it is my favorite album. Hope that you enjoyed the vino. It was a great weekend and i hope to see you again soon in California. |

Paul, just want to let you know that when I heard A RIGHT ALONG, I knew that this band had it all under control. I have been a fan since the mid 70's. I have an older brother that turned me on to you guys. And I thank him often. I just recently found the Poco website. Just awesome. If you guys could find the time to slip into PA. or OH. IN 2001, I know that you all will not be disappionted, nor will we!! PLEASE CONSIDER! I never had the chance to see you guys and that would just about complete my concert fix. I'm a concert junkie. Just can't get enough. So let me thank you for all the great music you have given us over the years. Take Care, Tom. |

Paul, Just scrolled down about two months worth of messages. Several stories unfolded. You're life is expanding even further still. You're family and "friends" imparting love, support and applause to you as a man and musician. I knew you a long time ago as one who shared my sense of humor! The longevity of POCO is exhilarating!! You're becoming timeless!! As it should be!! Guess what??? We stayed as young as we always knew we would feel!!! I am sooo looking forward to seeing you with the band again in New Jersey!!! To Carol, Paul's sister, I am from up in the Pittsburgh, Pa area. A while back I called the local music/book store to see if they had Pauls new CD yet. when the lady answered and I told her to check on Paul Cotton's new CD, she said the Paul Cotton from Poco?? I told her yes. She said she was your room mate in college and once Paul came up to see you and she met him. Anyway I didn't get her name, but just wanted to pass it along. Take care and you got a great brother. |

Hi Paul, I've been corresponding with George Lair of the Alabama Music Hall of Fame in Muscle Shoals. They had not realized that you were born in Alabama (Fort Rucker in 1945?). I turned him on to your webpages and Poco's as well. He seems excited about the possibility of your being added to the Alabama Music Hall of Fame! I'll keep my fingers crossed! Saw you with Poco in Annapolis Oct. 7th (even got your autograph!). You guys were great as usual (-&- George Grantham and Jack Sundrud of Great Plains are wonderful new/old additions to the band)! Hey Paul; It's great to be able to let you know how much I have enjoyed and appreciated your music since "Bad Weather" on Poco's FROM THE INSIDE. That was the album that made me a believer of that style of music and I've been digging it ever since. Your unique guitar sound from chiming acoustics to the White Falcon is such a pleasure to hear. I'll see the Poco tour when it comes through Denver in a couple of weeks. Peace... |

Hi Paul. It's great to see that your tour is continuing through the fall. We hope to make it down to Evansville, Ind. next month. If any of your fans in that area can give us directions from Northwest Indiana, (probably passing through Bloomington) I would appreciate it very much. They were a great help with directions to the Hillsborough concert this summer. Also does anyone know if there is an age limit at the casino in Evansville. My 19 year old and friends would like to come. This is the most we've seen of you in years!!! Now if you'd only make it up to Chicago or vicinity. Hope to see you again soon. P.S. Is there any chance of doing "ACROSS A PAINTED SKY" IN Evansville? I Love It. love carol and family |

Hey! I was at the Alton Expo Festival last night and was Very happy to be able to sit so close to the stage and get a chance to take some good photos with my new Canon Rebel. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE being able to see Poco in such intimate settings (I also went to the Hillsboro Horse Show aka Jefferson County Fair) but I really believe Poco deserves to be seen by all of it's fans from over the years and to do that they need more PROMOTION! St. Louis has an awesome concert facility Riverport Ampitheatre. I think that if Poco linked up with some other Country Rock bands they could successfully put on a Major Hoedown!!! Also, even at the smaller venues it would be a good idea if Poco had some promotional materials for sale, t-shirts, CD's, whatever. I heard many people asking if they had anything available. Hey, they might as well give the people what they want and benefit themselves in the meantime. Poco's older fans have jobs now, we can afford to invest in some good enter |

Well, got back from St. Pete today after seeing Poco play at Treasure Island last night. What a great night we had. The set list was only 10 songs as they were opening for Firefall. For once I am glad they were the opening act, because if not we would have gone home disappointed. The skies opened up two songs into Firefalls set and they pulled the plug, canceled the show and we all ran back to the Hotel in the rain and lightning. We had a nice little group of Internet Poco fans there and it was nice getting together for food -&- drinks before -&- after the show with everyone. Grace Grantham was there, so we had the opportunity to meet her finally. A very nice young lady. The guys were very accessible after the show and signed everything anyone asked them to. They posed for pictures, and laughed and smiled. It sure seems they are enjoying themselves. It was nice hearing George again. And Jack Sundrud is a very nice, friendly guy. Paul was just extremely friendly and he seemed so relax |

Hi Paul - thanks for a wonderful new album; ten years have been a long time, but it was certainly worth the wait. These lines come to you all the way from Germany, where I have been a POCO fan for about 25 years now - and came upon your first solo release "Changing Horses" by pure chance in 1991 (issued through an exotic Swiss label here). "Firebird" is a wonderful album (it finally arrived here today, thanks to the miracles of modern technology) and I hope you still stick with your invitation in the liner notes to "do it again". Any plans of ever touring Europe? Best wishes -&- lots of luck with whatever your future plans are, Christian Schwabach/Germany |

I want to see you guys when you come to San Diego at the end of Septemeber... Just wish you the best of luck and to thank you for the YEARS of great music and "good feelings to know".... Visit my homepage sometime... Thanks, YAK |

Hello Paul! Alan from Chicago. I spoke with you at the TGI Friday's in Moline after the Riverfest was cancelled. Val's Halla in Oak Park has had "Firebird" on backorder for quite awhile. Please get it there ASAP! What was the deal with Rusty asking me if I had done a lot of Acid? To answer his question...I've tripped about twenty times and have tasted Owsley's best! If he was being sarcastic, it didn't sit well with me. That's O.K. though. Rusty is a great guy. And so am I. Just let him know that I didn't end up like that "Strawberry" character from "Up In Smoke". LOL! "I wasn't looking at his neck, man!" Have your booking agency contact the Naperville, IL Special Events Division. They do a fest called the "Last Fling" Labor Day weekend. They'll book you and pay you guys top scale. |

JUST RECEIVED "FIREBIRD" FROM AMAZON. VERY GOOD, EVOCATIVE, AND MATURE. (THAT'S OK WHEN YOU'RE OVER 40) OOPS! I LIKE IT MUCH BETTER THAN "CHANGING HORSES". THE ARRANGEMENT OF "RIDE THE COUNTRY" IS ESPECIALLY SATISFYING. SOMEHOW I ALWAYS FELT THAT WAS A SONG THAT WOULD WORK OUT WELL WITH A MORE DELICATE TREATMENT. WAY TO GO, PAUL. DMB. |

I'M ASTOUNDED AND HAPPY TO SEE INTEREST IN COUNTRY ROCK STILL EXISTS. IT SEEMS THE MUSIC BUSINESS IS SO FICKLE, GOT TO ALWAYS COME UP WITH SOMETHING ELSE TO KEEP PEOPLE INTERESTED. IT'S DRIVEN BY FASHION RATHER THAN FEELING. GLAD TO SEE POCO STILL KICKING, I UNDERSTAND GEORGE AND RUSTY ARE ON BOARD, THAT'S GREAT. I WISH YOU'D COME CLOSER TO LOUISVILLE KENTUCKY. SPEAKING OF RUSTY I CAN'T SEEM TO FIND ANY OF HIS RECORDINGS WITH THE SKY KINGS. AMAZON DOESN'T EVEN LIST THEM, CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME? THANKS, GOOD LUCK, BEST WISHES, DAVID M. BYRD. |

I don't think POCO will be up in Minnesota, I do hope, I'd sure like to see them. Thanks again Paul for the autographed CD and the great music--Joel |

Hi Paul Caught your show at the Hillsboro fair last night. I just want to say thank you. Thank you for last night and the other dozen or so times that I have seen you guys play. I have always made an extreme effort to see Poco perform when you come to the St. Louis area. I've been a huge fan since probably around '70' or '71'. Again thanks, seeing you guys is always 'A Good Feelin' To Know'. My wife says thanks for the T-Shirt. |

Hello Uncle Paul, We are going to try and come and see you in Jefferson County fair. Too bad the concert in Moline was rained out. If anyone reading this knows how to get to the concert area please write me back. We are from Northwest Indiana and need information about the area. If it is outdoors, what happens if it rains? If there is anyone who can help us it will be very helpful. Thanks!! Hope to see you there Uncle Paul, Michelle |

Paul Cotton, my favorite member of Poco. Just a note to say how much I enjoy the music and the couple of times I have seen Poco in concert. My favorite cassette is a home made recording of all Paul Cotton songs titled "100% Cotton". A dream come true for me was when I had the chance to meet Paul after a concert at the Ohio State Fair in August of 1997. Thanks for the memories and keep on making my favorite music. |

Paul... Poco -&- the Illinois Speed Press still are two of my most favorite bands. They inspired me creatively as a musician -&- thrilled me as a listener, -&- still do. It's unlikely you'd remember me, but (too) many years ago, I caught many Speed Press shows (mostly in St. Louis -&- Illinois), got to know you -&- Kal a tiny bit - even hung out with you backstage at your Fillmore East gig. Yes, we're talking that long ago. I know (from talking to many folks I'm still friendly with from the 60's) that a baffling question resides in many minds --- that being --- WHY AREN'T THE 2 SPEED PRESS ALBUMS ON CD? I have searched far -&- wide for years - -&- found no trace of them. If they do exist, do you know where I can get them? -- and if they don't - why is this so -- and might this sad state of affairs ever be remedied? The world changes by the moment, but our love for certain things artistic doesn't. Paul, my very best to you - your music -&- words have stayed alive in my heart for over |

Paul, tis I, the guy that flew from Seattle with girlfriend in tow and couldn't get enough Poco in Reno. Just want to reemphasize how much the show meant to me since I hadn't heard you guys in 6 or so years since Remlinger Farms, Carnation, Wa. I hope the photos turn out that my girfriend took of us. I meant to ask if you knew of anyway to get a copy of the Midnight Special show you did? I remember High and Dry started out in this studio-type setting and then it metamorphosed into a live stage rendering. It was way cool. Oh well, my band is working with 3CI, they book local casinos and Firefall was here a few months back so I'd like to see what it would take to get you booked here. The Emerald Queen Casino books a lot of retro bands so my fingers will be crossed. Thanx again, Mark Baker |

Paul, a very warm and friendly album. I've had my (autographed) copy for several weeks now, and whenever I play it, my mood mellows right out. A better recommendation I cannot give. My compliments to you and the other members of your group, and I hope a bunch of these songs find their way on to the Poco set list. Also, a big hurray for the folks at Futuredge for the care taken on this project. |

Great web page. I'm from the Harvey IL area, a few years behind Paul at Thornton. I once owned a 45 of "Marie." Wish I still had it. Saw them perform it at the Harvey YMCA. Paul and the Mus-Twangs were an inspiration for my group, The Newports, which performed in and around Harvey IL from 1961 to 1966. I saw Paul and Rusty perform as POCO this past Saturday (27 May '00) at Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Connecticut. I drove 3 hours to see them, only to find out that they had only been allocated 45 minutes to play. They opened for PURE PRARIE LEAGUE. What a bummer! POCO should have been the reason for the concert not the other way around. It was a decent sized (not overly large) theater and I thought the acoustics were GREAT! Perhaps the place was a little too small given the power these guys put out and I was fortunate to have good seats. It was obvious that everyone there was there for POCO. I was a little disappointed that the crowd did not get into singing HEART OF THE NIGHT and CRAZY LOVE when those songs were played. I think Rusty and Paul were a little disappointed, too. It was a fairly reserved crowd except for when people yelled out titles they wanted played. I saw Paul and Rusty on River Street in Savannah, GA in the summer of 1994 (outdoors) and they w |

Seems a friend of Toni's saw my addition to the guest list and got in touch with me and put me in touch with Toni. We re-connected had had a phone-a-thon!! Remembering the old old days at the Capitol Theater! I am forever grateful that she was at the other end of the stage with that raincoat that night!! I am sooooo happy to hear you are still performing and hope there will be a time when I can see "youz guys" again..... Till the cows come home...Bev. |

I had missed hearing about Paul and was thrilled to hear about his new CD,"Firebird." Paul is a great guitarist and has a unique sound to his vocals, ones that I have enjoyed since his ISP days. Hopefully, he and Rusty can put together a new Poco CD in the near future, but would hope that some of the former members, especially Richie, might be included. I know that Richie still holds Poco and its members dear to his heart, and Rusty did play on Richie's CD "In my Father's House" in 1997. Anyway, Paul, you've got a great website, and I appreciate being able to check in, and look forward to receiving my copy of the "Firebird" CD. Best wishes on your efforts in all that you do. I can't seem to find any of the I.P.S. recordings. Are they available anywhere ir are there plans to make them available? I'd enjoy hearing Kal in the early days and look forward to listening to your recordings too. |

Paul, As I reflect on the Charlotte, NC show a couple of months ago, I continue to be in awe of the performance. I am more in awe of the tremendous songwriting that you and Rusty brought to the stage that night and other times that I have seen Poco. My mind goes back to the 1970's at the old Charlotte Coliseum. Poco on the Rose of Cimmarron tour...At the back of the stage is a huge banner with the same artwork that graced the Poco Seven album. Rusty is playing banjo and steel, Paul is blazing away on the White Falcon, Timmy and George are keeping the rythym going. A magic night, especially when "Rose of Cimmarron" is played. During an acoustic set, the four of you perform "Sagebrush Serenade"...incredible! Paul, you and Rusty have brought to us some of the greatest music to come from composers of the 20th century. I can't thank you enough for all that you have done for me. I pop in a Poco cd, and the world is suddenly a little brighter. Keep rocking and come back to Charlotte so |

Hey, all. I am really enjoying Firebird. Mr. Cotton, you just continue to murder me--one of the finest songwriters and musicians of my lifetime. I'm a recording artist myself, my new album is out nationally now, yet I continue to be amazed by arists that I grew up listening to. It's such a good feeling to know (no pun intended) that Paul Cotton is back and contributing such vital music once again! Here's hoping the proposed Poco new album comes to life as well. Congrats to everyone at Futuredge for a very smart and what I hope will be a very prosperous artist signing in Paul Cotton. Robert Charels |

I just started to get into country rock music, and I'm loving it! when I heard about the great Paul Cotton of Poco going solo, I got real excited. Very good mix, especially Theres a River, Let the Wind Blow and my favorite Do What You Do. Man, I'm ready for the next album already. Paul's got some great musical writers on those songs. The sound and words hit home for me, as it reminded me of my upbringing in the south (south Brooklyn). Even us city folk have country in our hearts, especially with the warm hearted words of these songs. Keep up the good work and get yourself a strong P.R. person to get your music out there. Thanks for the music and remember "Let the Wind Blow". |

Hey Paul , thanks for the great music of "Firebird". I'am looking forward to seeing you -&- Rusty at the Jeff. Co. state fair in Hillsboro Mo. on 7-21-00. I want to see -&- here you "Do What You Do". Hopefully I can wade thru the crowd "All the Way to You" to shake your hand -&- say thanks even though its been a while between music releases you were never "Not Out of Mind"(?). July in Mo.can be hot so I pray to God to just "Let the Wind Blow". but please no (you guessed it)"Bad Weather". P.S. I'am going to bring my wife because if I don't she's going to be "A Women With a Broken Heart" |

Yes, my copy finally arrived. In a small country town just outside of Auckland, New Zealand. My daughter, seeing the parcel, thought it was Christmas. "Yes, in a way it is." 'Bad Weather' has always been medication for existential funks and the like. This remake is hauntingly beautiful, pure and poignant. Superb music from the head and the heart.....and what a great opening to be able to tell the Poco story to friends Down Under. Like everyone else, the smiles of nostalgia plus the satisfaction that great talent and music transcends the years are immense. Poco Live At Budokan....why not. Just make sure that you plan to come down this way too. Thanks from Godzone Dwight |

I first remember Poco when they opened for the Eagles in Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City, New Jersey. It must have been around 1973 or so. I was about 18 at the time. I had never heard of Poco before that and unfortunately didn't pay much attention to their set. I remember someone sitting in front of me really getting into the music and I couldn't relate to it. Boy, if I could go back in time! I started getting into Poco sometime after that when I heard "A Good Feeling to Know" and a DJ on WNEW-FM in New York said it was a great album. I've been a huge fan since. I saw the reunion concert and Paul -&- Rusty a couple of years ago. I'm especially a big fan of Paul's. I think his work is outstanding! I have the new CD and it's great! I hope they come to the New Jersey area during their tour. Looking forward to more new music from Paul and Poco. |

Hi Paul, it was well worth the wait. Like hearing from a long lost friend. I'll do my part to make sure this disc is heard. I'm on staff of a radio station here in New Jersey, WDVR-FM 89.7 and have a Wednesday night program that features POCO/Family weekly. Thanks to Futuredge for putting this music out. And it is music. Not the fluff, pop, un-emotional, cookie-cutter junk that exists everywhere today. Thank you Paul. Thank you Futuredge. Thank you for ths site. Thank you to all the other fans, like myself, who get it. This music moves me like no other. Hey, check out www.wdvrfm.org on Wednesday nights at 10pm if you are out of the central New Jersey area and want to hear some Paul/POCO on the airwaves. All the best. Take care. Dennis |

Dear Paul: The only trouble with your last CD is that now I want another. Man, you have taste. I never knew there were so many Poco fans until I got on-line. For you recording companies out there: Sign Poco up to do their next disc. This is the type of quality "stuff" that needs a place in a disgusting market place. Please listen, this is high quality stuff that comes from quality craftsmen and we need bands who take their craft seriously. God Bless you Paul. I hope to see you this summer.
