"What's in a name?" The talented poet asked.

The heartbeat of nations past."

The Hogue Family Stars

The following is a history report on the Hogues (my maiden name) originally generated from Sierra Generations genealogy software, although I have revised the report to more easily fit this page format. There are notes throughout indicating proof of facts stated. In some cases I have the actual documents; however, where I do not have the documents in my possession, I tried to reference where those documents are located. Only my direct lineage is shown; although, I do have some information on other Hogue branches, as well as more detailed information on my own line. I did not include this information here simply because of space constraints. If you see a name that you would like to know more about or read something you question, please contact me. I hope you enjoy reading about the Hogue Family name and its proud and rich heritage.

No undertaking like this is accomplished alone. I would like to extend a special THANK YOU to Ardrew/Rootsweb, Rebecca DeArmond and her book, Old Times Not Forgotten..., and Bettye Hogue Bond for their invaluable assistance and information!
