"Do you really want me to be here? Us?"
"More than anything."
"Copycat."
"Got that right." Isaac grinned. The two sat still for what seemed like forever, when Isaac put his hand on top of hers.
"I missed you so much…" he whispered.
"I wanted to come back, but I was so afraid that you wouldn't except me and Lila." Chloe said, leaning her head against his shoulder.
"And I was afraid you wouldn't except me, after what I did to you." Isaac sighed, softly stroking Chloe's face.
"You were drunk. The only thing I wish would have happened differently is that you weren't drunk, and you actually loved me." Chloe whispered.
"I do love you… I did love you… And I always will, no matter where you are." Isaac whispered.
"I love you, too Ike… You have no idea how much I missed you… Every time I looked at Lila, all I could think about was you. I can never imagine being with someone else…" Chloe whispered, hugging Isaac closer.
"Neither can I, Chloe. Neither can I…" Isaac mumbled, kissing her on the forehead.
Chloe returned the kiss, reminding herself to slow down when enough was enough.
The next morning, Chloe began to have a feeling that someone was watching her. When she opened her eyes and saw Isaac starring at her, her first impulse was to jump up and scream, yet she held herself back for the time being.
"You know, one of these times, you're going to get me knocked up again." Chloe grinned, kissing Isaac on the nose.
"Good." Isaac grinned.
"Ohhh no… I am NOT in the mood to do 1 am shifts again… Or 3 am, for that matter." Chloe said, moving a little bit closer to Isaac.
"You know what?" Isaac asked.
"What?"
"Yeah, you know, the weird guy that lives down the street." Isaac joked, grinning.
"Ok, that was bad." Chloe rolled her eyes, smiling to herself.
"Chloe, one tiny question." Isaac asked.
"Shoot."
"Do you really mean it when you say you love me, or are you just saying that to make me feel better?"
Chloe smiled, "I couldn't mean it more."
"Good. Then one other question?" he asked.
"This isn't 20 questions, is it?"
"Nope. Can I ask now, please?"
"Sure." Isaac turned around quickly and opened one of his drawers on the nightstand he had. He quickly grabbed something, hiding it from view.
"What is it?" Chloe asked, trying to see what it was.
"NOYB. Are you going to let me ask or what?"
"Fine."
"Ok. Chloe, I've known you since you were 13 and since I was 18… But age doesn't matter. I feel like I've known you my whole life, and I honestly can not even comprehend living without you… For these past 6 years, you're the only thing that's kept me breathing… And I truly do love you more than anything…" with those last words, Isaac displayed a small velvet box.
"I know it's a little early for me to say this, but I love you and I want to be with you the rest of my life. Will you marry me?"
Chloe nearly fainted when she cracked open the box. Either this guy had more money then he letting on, or he really did love her…
"I… I…" Chloe stuttered, not knowing what to say. She finally shook her head yes, and Isaac smiled the biggest smile she had seen anywhere.
He quickly slipped the ring onto her finger, then kissed her forehead softly. They were finally going to be a family.
They had decided to tell no one until Lila knew and got used to the fact that Isaac was going to be family, and that it wasn't just going to be Chloe and herself any longer.
Chloe slowly crept into her room, amazed that the newly turned 3 year old was still asleep. She walked over to the bed, then started to softly stroke her cheek, waking her up gently.
"Mommy?" Lila asked sleepily.
"Come on Lila… It's almost 10 o'clock, and Daddy doesn't have work today, so we're going to take you somewhere special." Chloe quickly got her daughter dressed, and walked out to the kitchen where Isaac and Taylor were waiting for them. Chloe hid her left hand subconsciously, not wanting Taylor to blab.
"Hey Lila!" Taylor kneeled down as his niece ran towards him, giving her a big hug.
"Hey Tay." Chloe said softly. She looked at Isaac for a moment, who was also looking at her. The two smiled towards each other, agreeing not to allow Taylor to notice the diamond on Chloe's left hand.
"Uncle Taylor wanted to take you a Zoe to Chuck E. Cheese today. Do you want to go?" Isaac asked, looking at Lila.
Lila nodded her head firmly, wrapping her arms around Taylor's neck, signaling for him to pick her up.
"Ok. We'll be back whenever these two poop out. If you're not here, I'll just take her back to Mom and Dad's place, k?" with that, Taylor was out the door, Lila screaming in delight.
"Taylor's babysat before, right?" Chloe asked cautiously. Isaac took one look at her and started chuckling.
"Clo, this is Taylor we're talking about. Younger sibling of Isaac the Great, older to 5." Isaac smiled as he saw Chloe blush.
"Aww, come here. You know I couldn't let just anyone take Lila anywhere." Isaac smiled, kissing the top of her head. "Now, what shall we do today?"
Chloe shrugged, and she was about to suggest something when Isaac did that thinking for her.
"Do you want to go visit Mom and Dad?" he asked.
"But what about…" Chloe started.
"If they notice, they notice." Isaac stated simply. "So, ya up for it or not?"
"Sure." Chloe smiled. Isaac grabbed the keys and headed for the front door with Chloe right behind him.
Once on their way, a few things popped up into Chloe's mind.
"When are we going to have it?" she asked.
"I don't know. When would you like to have it?" Isaac asked, his eyes on the road.
"I dunno. Probably in May or June sometime. When did Kendall say that Zac and her wedding was going to be?"
"September, I think. So, yeah, May or June'll be great. Fancy or Elvis-style?" Isaac asked, grinning.
"Hmm. I'm not too big on huge fluffy dresses…" Chloe stated, thinking.
"Then how about a small reception? Just family and a few friends." Isaac suggested.
"That sounds great. No press or press?" she asked.
"Definetely no press." Isaac said, stopping at an intersection.
"Good. Bridesmaids, yes or no?"
"No. That's too much work." Isaac said.
"I totally agree… Ok. So tiny reception, 20 or so people, what church?" she asked.
"Hmmm… You know what I think would be cool?" he asked.
"No, what?"
"An outdoor wedding… It Mom's backyard or something." Isaac suggested.
"That's a good idea. I have a family friend who's a minister. So we'd have a pick a good day… What day?"
"Hmmm. A Sunday. Or a Saturday… Either one." Isaac suggested.
"Late Sunday'll do. Then a small party back at your house?" Chloe asked.
"Our house." Isaac corrected, turning into his parent's driveway.
"Fine. Our house."
The couple walked into the house which was filled with commotion.
"Mom? Dad?" Isaac called.
"Hey honey! We're in here!" Mrs. Hanson called. Isaac walked into the living room, followed by Chloe.
"Hey Mrs. Hanson." Chloe smiled as she sat down next to Isaac.
"Hey Ike! Hey Chloe! How are things going?" Mrs. Hanson asked.
Isaac almost blurted out that they were going to be married, but he quickly held his tongue.
"Nothing much. We just wanted to stop by and say hello. Taylor took Lila and Zoe to Chuck. E. Cheese, so we were left at home with nothing to do.
"Well I'm glad you stopped by. Your Dad's out with Mack and Avery to see a movie, I think. Jessie's out on a date, and Zac's in here somewhere." Mrs. Hanson updated the two.
"Ok, I hate to ask you guys this, but it looks like something's up. What is it?" Mrs. Hanson asked, crossing her arms.
"Nothing. Nothing's up." Isaac croaked as he quickly covered Chloe's left hand with his right.
"No, I see those smiles… What's going on?" Mrs. Hanson glanced down to see the two supposedly holding hands, however their fingers weren't linked.
"Guess." Isaac challenged.
" You two are… Hmm… Leaving your old mother behind and moving to Vegas." Mrs. Hanson grinned.
"Hey, there's an idea!" Isaac laughed.
"No, really… Hmmm." Mrs. Hanson studied the two, then came to a conclusion that she couldn't believe herself.
"Chloe, is that a bug on your left hand?" Mrs. Hanson lied, pointing to Chloe's hand. Chloe immediately held up her hand to check it, exposing the diamond ring she had on her 3rd finger.
"Oh God." Mrs. Hanson sighed. Chloe blushed, then tucked her hand back under Isaac's.
"You're getting married, aren't you?" Mrs. Hanson guessed. From the look on the two's faces, she could tell she was right.
"Listen, Mom… Please don't tell anyone." Isaac pleaded.
"And why shouldn't I?"
"Because Chloe and I want to get approval from Lila before we do anything that'll change her life." Isaac explained. Mrs. Hanson shook her head, understanding.
"Fine. You have 24 hours before I spill. Oh, and congratulations." Mrs. Hanson smiled as the two sighed in relief, then stood up.
"Thanks Mrs. Hanson for talking to us… And understanding." Chloe smiled before she followed her fiancée out of the house.
Once Lila got back from Chuck. E. Cheese, giddy and clutching her prizes, her mother immediately sat her down next to Isaac and sat on a chair opposite from the two.
"Lila, you know how your Daddy and I aren't married?" she started. Lila nodded her head, a solemn expression on her face.
"Well, sweetie, we've decided that we should be married. Is that ok with you?" Chloe asked gently.
Lila's face sprang into a smile, as she hugged Isaac. "You mean Daddy'll really be my Daddy?" she asked excitedly.
"Yup, that's right honey." Isaac smiled down on his daughter, who was now hugging him as tight as she could.
"Wow! I always wanted this to happen!" Lila grinned as she got up and ran into her room.
"She took it better then I expected. She must really love you." Chloe smiled, moving across the room, next to Isaac.
"I expected her to start punching me and telling me how much she hates me…" Isaac mumbled, putting his arm around her.
"Yeah…" Chloe mumbled. "Ok, now that she's ok with it, I guess it's cool to spread the news?"
Isaac nodded. "Dinner at Pizza Hut."
Chloe nodded in agreement. "I'll call everyone, k?"
"K."
An hour later, Chloe and Isaac nervously sat down after everyone else had been seated. Their hands were linked together, and both were shaking and sweaty. Mrs. Hanson winked towards Chloe, as Isaac cleared his throat.
"I believe everyone here remembers Chloe?" He asked. Jessica, Avery, Mackie, and Taylor's girlfriend Randi hadn't been present the night that Isaac told everyone that Lila was his.
"Nice to meet you." Randi stuck her hand out to shake Chloe's, so she had to let go of Isaac's hand in order to do so.
"And this is Lila, for those who haven't met her." Lila grinned at everyone.
"She's adorable! Who's is she?" Randi asked. Jessica looked like she was about to say the same thing, along with Avery.
"Mine." Chloe stated, squeezing Isaac's hand , telling him not to tell anyone if he could help it, for they were in a very public place.
"Awww… Some guy back up in Michigan?" Jessica asked.
"No, someone I met down here in Tulsa." Chloe explained. Mrs. Hanson whispered it to her, and her eyes grew big. "Exactly… How old is she?"
"I'm 3." Lila said, holding up three fingers.
"Wow, such a big girl." Jessica's voice was directed towards Lila, but her eyes were fixed on Isaac.
"Tell ya later, Jess." Isaac dismissed it, then got back to what he was saying.
"Anyways, we checked with Lila, and she liked this idea… So, we're gonna tell all of you. Chloe and I are getting married." Isaac announced.
Zac grinned, kicking Isaac under the table and raising his eyebrows, as to indicate something. Isaac just rolled his eyes, then pointed to Lila. Zac got an 'opps' look on his face, then slid down in his seat.
Everyone else was congratulating Chloe and Isaac. Lila smiled and waved her hands around a bit.
After that, the two told everyone what their wedding plans were. Kendall and Zac were happy that the date didn't interfere with their wedding, which ended up being in August.
"Ok, small… But in our backyard? Honey…" Mrs. Hanson tried to make Isaac and Chloe change their mind about the outdoor wedding, with no success.
Meanwhile, Lila was tugging on her mother's shirt, trying to get her attention.
"Yes hon?" Chloe asked.
"Mommy, I don't feel too good." Lila frown, holding her stomach.
"Awww… Poor baby… Come sit with Mommy for a little bit." Chloe lifted Lila onto her lap, then rubbed her back. She told Isaac about Lila, and he immediately told everyone that they had to go. He gave his father $50 to cover the meal, then took Lila and Chloe home.
"Thank you…" Chloe said. She was in the back with Lila, who now felt so sick that she was laying down.
"Should we take her to the doctor's or something?" Isaac asked, concerned.
"Not unless we have to." Chloe answered, stroking Lila's face gently.
Once they were home, Lila was settled on the living room couch, and Chloe gave her some medicine to allow her daughter to sleep without pain.
"Any idea what's wrong with her?" Isaac asked.
"No… It's probably just a virus or something she ate." Chloe shrugged. Once Lila was asleep, Chloe got up and made her way to he r own room, not knowing that Isaac followed her.
"Clo, you ok?" he asked. Chloe had started shaking when she had gotten into her room and sat on the bed.
She jumped when she heard Isaac's voice, and she turned around, her chin quivering.
"I'm just worried about Lila, that's all." Chloe confessed.
"If you want, we can take her to the hospital." Isaac asked.
"No… Not unless we have to. People there will recognize you as two things. One, a father, and two, Isaac Hanson." Chloe said, her eyes filling with tears.
"Then I'll at least stay up wit her." Isaac offered.
"No… I'll help. Do you really want another child, after we get married?" Chloe asked.
The question took Isaac by surprise. "Of course, unless you don't."
"Well, the only person I'm gonna do that with is you, so here's your chance to prove to me that you're able to take night shifts without falling asleep. I'll stay up the first two hours, then you, then me, etc. Deal?" Chloe asked.
"Deal." Isaac said. Chloe walked back out into the living room, where Lila was now sleeping soundly. She put her hand on Lila's head, and noticed she had a slight fever. Chloe sat down and watched her little girl sleep for the most part of the two hours. Isaac then came in, book in hand.
"Ok, now go to sleep." Isaac gently shoved Chloe back into the hallway.
"Isaac, do me a favor and check her temperature ever so often, ok? I'm not sure if it's just me, but I think it's risen a little." Chloe said. She then walked into her own bedroom. She lay down, trying to sleep a little. It took her almost 15 minutes to realize that she wasn't going to be able to sleep in her own bed. She had never actually slept in it before.
She then got up and softly padded down the hallway into Isaac's room. She smiled, then lay down to get a little sleep.
She woke an hour and a half later to the sound of Isaac's alarm clock. She quickly got up and walked into the living room to find Isaac, softly reading to Lila, who was now awake.
Chloe didn't want to disturb the two, so she watched from a safe distance, making sure Isaac couldn't see her. She watched them for about 15 minutes, when she suddenly coughed. Isaac turned around, then smiled sheepishly.
"She woke up about a half an hour ago. I was reading a book I found in your room." Isaac explained, holding up 'Stuart Little'.
"Thank you." Chloe smiled, giving him a kiss on the forehead. "It's your turn to sleep." She pointed out.
"No way! Lila and I are having fun here, aren't we?" Isaac spoke softly for reasons Chloe didn't understand. Lila nodded, giving her mother a weak smile.
"Ok then. How's about I sit in with you?" Chloe asked. Isaac grinned at her, then scooted over on the small loveseat he had moved to be closer to Lila.
Once Chloe was settled, Isaac began to read again. Soon Lila was nodding off, while Chloe was having a hard time keeping her eyes open. Still Isaac kept on reading.
Chloe woke up to the brightness of the sun in her eyes. She saw that Lila was still asleep, and Isaac was still sitting next to her, reading one of his others novels. She was embarrassed of the fact that she had feel asleep leaning against Isaac, and he obviously hadn't moved the whole night they were there.
"Hey sleepyhead." Isaac smiled. Chloe quickly apologized for falling asleep on him, while Isaac moved his arm around a bit.
"That's fine. I'm used to you sleeping on me anyways." Isaac grinned. "You've never slept in your own bed before."
"You're right, I haven't. Sorry, but I kinda catnapped in yours last night." Chloe apologized once more.
"That's fine. Does this mean you'll be a permanent guest?" he grinned evilly.
"Not if you act that way I won't." Chloe smiled. "Have you checked her fever?"
"No, you were sleeping on me." Isaac pointed out. Chloe got up and put her hand on Lila's forehead to find that it was burning up.
"Jesus! She's burning up… Where are your thermometers?" Chloe asked, but Isaac was already in the kitchen, looking through a cabinet.
He held up one that Chloe had never seen before. "What's that?" she asked.
"A thermometer." Isaac answered. He pushed a few buttons, then stuck a thin short part gently into her ear. A few seconds later, he took it out and nearly fell over.
"105.6!" he exclaimed. Chloe immediately started bundling Lila up in the blanket she had somehow kicked off during the night. Isaac had ran out the door to get the car started, and then ran back in to help Chloe carry Lila.
"Here, let me take her." Isaac took Lila from Chloe's arms, then put her in the car next to where Chloe had just sat down.
"Thanks Isaac… Lila…" Chloe put Lila's burning head on her lap, then numbly started to stroke her forehead, almost wincing at the touch.
5 minutes later, they arrived at St. Joseph's, and Isaac immediately parked in the emergency area and gently took a hold of Lila, who was now starting to cough pitifully.
The two made a mad dash to the entrance to the ER, and once in there, Chloe yelled for someone to help Lila.
A middle age woman dressed in a nurses uniform came from out of nowhere, then took one look at Lila and took her. She put the girl onto a stretcher, with Chloe following close behind.
A nurse had flagged Isaac down, telling him to fill out a few papers. Isaac knew very little of what was on the sheet, and only filled in what he could.
Once he was finished, the nurse scanned the paper over, frowning.
"Sir, are you immediate family?" she asked. Isaac got a sour look on his face, knowing that this would happen.
"Yes."
"Then what is the girl's last name?"
"Mother's or Father's?" he asked.
"What does it say on her birth certificate?"
"I'm not sure. It could be two things."
"Give me both of them."
"Ouellette, O-U-E-L-L-E-T-T-E, or Hanson, H-A-" the nurse interrupted him.
"Mr. Hanson, I know how to spell your last name." The nurse smiled.
"You do?" Isaac asked meekly.
"Well Hanson's a pretty easy name to figure out. Plus I can recognize a famous face when I see one." The nurse winked, then started typing on the computer.
"What year was she born in?"
"Umm… 2002, I think, but I wouldn't quote me on that."
"You don't know the year your own sister was born?" the nurse asked, stunned.
"Hazy memory." Isaac mumbled, looking down the hall anxiously.
"Ok Mr. Hanson, you can go see her." the nurse said.
"Do NOT say anything." Isaac warned, taking off down the hall, leaving the nurses' mouth wide open.
When he reached Lila's room, he saw Chloe in there, talking to a doctor. Isaac pushed the door open, and the doctor looked at him immediately.
"Immediate family only, sir." He said sternly. Isaac rolled his eyes.
"Am I that famous that people can't believe that I actually have a family?"
"Sir, my daughter loves your group, and I've never heard about her talk about you having a wife or child, and I do not believe this is one of your siblings." The doctor's voice scared Chloe, but she wanted Isaac to fight his own battles.
"Well the public doesn't know everything." Isaac said. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I'd like to see my daughter." Isaac ignored the doctor's stunned face as he walked around him and to Lila's bed.
"What's wrong?" Isaac asked Chloe.
"She seems to…" the doctor started. Isaac flashed him a Look.
"I believe I was asking Chloe, not you."
"Ike…" Chloe sighed.
"What's wrong?" He repeated.
"She has pneumonia." Chloe said, her voice getting a little wobbly.
"Is she going to be ok?" this question was now directed towards the doctor.
"She should be, but she's just stabilizing… No guarantees." The doctor explained.
"If she got any of my genes she will." Isaac mumbled.
The next few days were torture for Chloe and Isaac. Neither of them went back to the house, so Zac brought a few articles of clothing, books, and all that to the hospital. There were rumors flying around about Chloe and Lila, and the press were constantly outside Lila's hospital room. They were instructed to answer 'No comment', however, the press were eating them alive.
"Can't somebody get a security or bodyguard to block the room?" Isaac requested to his father when he came to see how they were doing.
"Yeah… I'll see to it." Mr. Hanson had agreed.
Lila was in and out of consciousness for a few days, and when she was awake, she rarely ever made sense.
Finally, on the 4th day, she asked for her father.
"Daddy?"
"Yeah sweetie?"
"Can you read to me?" Lila requested. Isaac smiled, nodding his head yes. He quietly picked up 'Stuart Little' and opened to the book marked page.
"Do you remember where we were?" Isaac asked.
"Uh huh." Lila nodded. Just then, Chloe walked in, her hair frizzy from the humidity.
"You know what?" she asked.
"No, but I know his brother Who." Iasac retorted.
"Haha. Any ways, there this reporter dude that was hear two days ago! He's still wearing the same cloths he had on last time I saw him." Chloe sighed, sitting down in the chair next to Isaac.
"Well, right now I'm reading to Lila. I'll deal with him later." Isaac softly read out loud a few paragraphs of the story, when a loud banging came from the hallway.
"Just a sec…" Isaac got up and slowly opened the door, face to face with a man who smelled like he hadn't taken a shower in weeks.
"Can I help you?" Isaac asked warily.
"Actually, yes you can, Isaac. I'm from the Tulsa Daily, and I was wondering if the little girl in there is your sister, daughter, niece, etc?" the reporter asked.
"Listen. Is your job at stake on this story?" Isaac asked.
The man looked Isaac in the eye for a moment before replying yes.
"Ok. Then being the nice guy that I am, I'll tell you one thing and one thing only." Isaac bargained. "But only if you go away."
"Deal." The reporter agreed.
"My family does not appreciate what you're doing to my daughter." With that, Isaac slammed the door shut, then grinned sheepishly at Chloe.
"You didn't have to tell him that." Chloe said, a look of concern in her eyes.
"I care more about Lila and you then a bunch of stupid rumors. I don't care if they get a hold of the story. I don't care. The only thing I care about right now is that Lila is ok. All we'll lose is a bunch of flakes, any ways." Isaac grinned, getting back to the story.
Chloe smiled, then kissed the top of Isaac's head. "You're too much of a teddy bear. Thanks."
Lila was released later that week, and when they reached their home they found reporters swarming the yard. Isaac sighed, reaching into the glove compartment and taking out something black.
"Listen, you put this on while I park a few houses down. You get out with Lila wrapped up in the blanket while I move down to the house and distract the reporters." Isaac held out a black ski mask towards Chloe. She took it gratefully and then slipped it on, being careful to tuck all of her hair in. She reached in the back to make sure that Lila was still wrapped in the blanket and sleeping.
"Ready?" Isaac asked.
"Ready." With that, Chloe got out of the car and opened the backdoor, grabbing Lila and started the walk to Isaac's home. Meanwhile, Isaac drove the car back down the road and around the block, praying that he got there before the girls did.
His prayers were answered when he saw Chloe and Lila still a house away when he pulled into his driveway. Instantly reporters were all over his car, and when he opened the door, all he heard was the sound of many people talking, no one question.
"Hello." He said to all of the reporters, seeing that Chloe and Lila were now safely in the house without being noticed. He quickly started walking towards the front door, ignoring all of the reporter's questions.
"Listen, if you want to know the truth, you'll find it. If you look hard enough, you'll find it." With that, Isaac ran into the hose, being careful to lock all the doors.
"Chloe? Lila?" he called.
"Lila's room." Chloe called. He walked into Lila's room, finding his daughter and fiancée in there. It was almost 11 o'clock, and Lila was still recovering, so Chloe was tucking her daughter into bed.
"Did she wake up?" Isaac asked.
"Thankfully, no." Chloe smiled towards Lila, giving her a goodnight kiss, then leaving the room
"All of the blinds and windows are shut, by the way. I did a run through really quick." Chloe explained, sitting down on the couch facing the TV.
"You know, we never did celebrate our engagement." Isaac pointed out.
"So? What are you going to do about it?" Chloe smiled while Isaac wrapped his arms around her.
"I'd bring out a bottle of champagne, but you can't drink." Isaac grinned.
"So? If I get drunk, I get drunk. You were 20, so why can't I be 19?" Chloe smiled.
"Yeah, and that was a stupid mistake." Isaac mumbled.
"What's the worst that could happen?" Chloe pleaded.
"God, you're making me sound like I'm your father." Isaac rolled his eyes.
"Now that would be illegal." Chloe smiled, placing herself in Isaac's lap.
"In all 50 states, yessirry." Isaac grinned.
"Do you remember '7 minutes in Heaven?" Chloe asked.
"One of the best memories of my life." Isaac grinned, kissing Chloe's neck.
"You give me a hicky and I'll give you twenty." Chloe warned.
"Well, in that case…" Isaac started to move upwards, so he was now kissing her ear.
"No, seriously. Please?" Chloe begged.
"No means no Clo…" Isaac answered, moving to her cheek.
"You're really enjoying that, aren't you?" Chloe asked.
"More then you'll ever know." Isaac replied.
"I know just a little bit more then you think I do." Was Chloe's response. Isaac suddenly stopped, then looked at Chloe.
"You probably do." He returned to his spot, moving now to her lips.
The two kissed a bit longer, then a big yawn interrupted their smooch fest.
"Tired?" Chloe asked.
"Only when I'm around you." Isaac joked. Chloe rolled her eyes, then slide off Isaac's lap.
"You're tired. Are you going to bed or what?" Chloe asked impatiently.
Isaac looked confused for a moment, then he yawned again. "Actually, you're right. It's been a long day. We'll celebrate tomorrow." Isaac gave Chloe a kiss goodnight, then took off to his room.
Chloe walked into hers and looked at the never slept in bed. She glanced at the clock, which bright red numbers signaled that it was 11:52 pm.
"Might as well go to bed." She mumbled to herself. She quickly got her pajamas on, then braided her shoulder length brown hair into pigtails.
"12:03. Hmmm." Chloe climbed into her bed and pulled the covers over her, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't seem to get comfortable.
Ten minutes later, she finally gave up and grabbed a pillow, dragging it down the hall and into Isaac's room.
He was awake. She could tell by his uneven breathing, yet the lights were off. She dropped her pillow as her eyes got adjusted to the darkness. She unbuttoned the top of her pajamas, letting the silk fall from her shoulders. She saw Isaac's still form, and she crept to the edge of his bed where his back was facing. She slowly laid down on the bed, being careful not to disturb him. Once she was close enough, she put her arms around him and kissing his neck lightly.
"Happy Tomorrow."
