Taylor and Isaac sat across from each other backstage, both drinking Diet Coke.
"Taylor, what happened on your date?" Isaac asked.
Taylor sighed. "She got drunk. She was a fan. So, she asked me to make love to her."
"Well, did you?" Isaac asked.
Taylor nodded. "I did. But I was also drunk… We were both stoned. I left her before she woke up."
Isaac sighed. "Please tell me you used protection."
Taylor shrugged. "I… I don't think so."
Isaac leaned back in his chair. "Taylor, I know how you feel right now…" he was about to say something else, then Taylor cut him off.
"How the hell would you know? This never happened to you! I know you and Chloe made up the whole you being Lila's father story to make Lila feel better! To think that her real father actually cared!" Taylor yelled.
"Shut up!" Isaac yelled. "How would you know? Lila is MY daughter, no one else's! And you know how it happened? Do you?"
Taylor shook his head.
"I was DRUNK! You know what else? I raped her!" Before Isaac could stop it, the words flew out his mouth in rage. Taylor gasped.
"You mean… Oh my God, Ike…"
"Yeah Taylor. Exactly. I raped my wife 5 years ago. I raped her fucking brains out!" Isaac buried his head in his hands. "Don't you dare tell anyone about this. Only Zac and Brian know… That's why Zac looks at me funny every time I try to talk to him. Didn't you see how Chloe looked at me when she got off the plane? Damn it, Taylor! I love her with all my heart, but I made a stupid mistake that totally changed my life and ruined Chloes'. You know how much we loved each other? The first night, the FIRST NIGHT she got back, I slept with her. The second night, I slept with her again, just I didn't have sex with her. The next night, I slept with her again! Damn it, Taylor! We weren't even dating at the time! I proposed the third morning that I knew her! I never want you to have to go through the idea of having a child and not knowing about it. The three years I didn't know about Lila would have been Hell." Isaac yelled.
"Isaac… I'm sorry… I didn't know… I thought… God I thought…" Taylor stuttered.
"You thought what, Tay? You thought that her and I made a choice decision to lose it to each other when she was 15? That we both decided to sleep with each other because we thought it would be cute? Because we were best friends? What Taylor? What did you think?" Isaac retorted.
"I thought you loved her when she… Conceived." Taylor shrugged.
"I never said I didn't love her, I just made a stupid mistake. I can barely remember that night… Some guy handed me some beer, and I drank it. I couldn't stop… But when I was chosen to 'make out' with her, I loved the idea. I kissed her like there was no tomorrow. But you know what, Tay? There was." Isaac sighed, burring his head in his hands allowing a small sob to escape.
"I really, don't know what to say. I'm sorry though." Tay said.
"Well it's not your fault. It's mine. I just don't want to make the same mistake I did. But I guess you already have. Just hope she doesn't get pregnant. And if she does, like Chloe did, I just hope it turns out good for you like it did for me. Through it I founds the love of my life." Ike smiled, stopping from sobbing.
"I really hope she doesn't." Tay sighed and sat down on a chair, completely deep in thought.
"Hey you guys." Kendall said coming in holding Zachary Jordan.
"Hey Ken." Ike smiled, only Tay didn't look up.
"Have you guys seen his binkie (pacifier)?" She asked quickly surveying the room. "I can't seem to find it."
"I don't know. I can't even find my own kids!" Ike laughed.
"It's on the table by the TV on the bus." Tay said, a little grumpily.
"Whats eating you up?" Kendall asked concerned, handing Ike the baby to hold.
"Nothing." Tay said looking back down.
"Ok is it just me or is no one telling my anything anymore? Tay has got a secret and won't tell me, Chloes got one and won't tell me even though she's told me everything -except for that- since we were 12. This whole place has got secrets and won't tell me. I hate you all!" Kendall frowned. "Isaac will you watch him for a minute while I run back to the bus?"
"Yeah sure." He told her and continued playing with him.
Once Kendall had left, Chloe came in, almost as if she was waiting outside. "Hey Isaac, hey Tay… Have a nice bonding session?"
Isaacc nodded. "Yeah." Taylor just looked at Chloe as if she was a complete stranger. Isaac kicked Taylor under the table, bringing him back to his senses.
"Ok. The show starts in half an hour, just so you should know. Spin's just gone out." Spin was the opening act, straight from Tulsa.
"Ok, thanks Clo." Isaac smiled as Chloe left the room. Taylor started breathing hard, and Isaac looked at him. "Yes Taylor, that was my wife." Taylor leaned back in his chair.
"Why haven't you told anyone? How do you two actually survive?" Taylor asked. Isaac shrugged.
"First of all, if I had told you or anyone else, what would you have done? If I wasn't married to her?"
"Probably never have looked at you the same way… Never have spoken to you again." Taylor answered truthfully, looking down.
"Why I don't tell anyone is because I'm a criminal. What I did was illegal in all 50 states, especially in Oklahoma! And right now, you're never going to look at me the same way again, nor Chloe for that matter." Isaac answered, cradling Zachary in his arms.
Taylor nodded. "You're right, Ike. Right now, I want to punch you so hard that you won't remember the day of the week. I want to run to Chloe to tell her that I'm sorry for having a brother that could have even thought about doing that to her. But, apparently, I'm not needed. You two are surviving, still living and loving each other, more so everyday. I'm just the brother who hangs around and keeps Lila busy during the day. All I am is Taylor Hanson, superstar who sings, teen sensation. I don't have anyone who really and truly loves me for who I am, not what I am. You and Zac have no idea how good you have it, and to have someone who really and truly loves you. Especially you Isaac, she had the power to forgive you."
Isaac sighed, then nodded. "You're right, Taylor. I am a lucky person, and I do deserve to get abused and treated like a mad dog. Chloe never, ever asked for any of the grief I've given her, nor did she deserve it. As much as I hate to say it, that's in the past. It affects the future, obviously, but still, nothing I'll ever do or say to her will change it. Now, come on, we need to change." Taylor followed his older brother and Zachary out, Isaac running into Kendall and handing her Zachary back. Kendall thanked him, and the two made their way to the dressing room.
Minutes later, the beginning chords of MMMBop started and a roar emerged from the crowds.
After the concert ended and the encore finished the boys walked back to find the girls chatting in the dressing room.
"Hi guys. Good concert." Both girls said at the same time. They have been talking like twins since the first met each other.
"Thanks." Zac said kissing his wife on the cheek and grabbed another shirt to put on.
"Hey, we didn't see you guys backstage during the love songs. Were you in here the whole time?" Ike asked pulling his hair into a ponytail and grabbing some jeans to put on.
"Yep. Really big bonding session." Chloe smiled up to her husband while feeding Nick.
"Well I barely see my 'sis' anymore. She has 3 kids compared to my one and she's with you a lot." K smiled.
"Well excuse me for taking her away. Want her back?" Ike laughed.
"Yes." Kendall laughed too, going along with the joke and handing her baby to the now-changed into new clothes Zac.
"Hey, how are you?" Zac smiled at the baby.
"You're just loving this daddy stuff aren't you Zac?" Tay laughed.
"Yep." Zac smiled and sat down in-between the girls.
"Well you guys better hurry up and finish doing whatever. You still have to do the meet and greet." Chloe told them.
"Ok mom!" Tay and Ike both laughed.
"Oh shush!" She scowled.
"Yeah Tay, you try carrying a baby for 9 months! We deserve the mother title. You two, however, just sat on your lazy bums while we were in PAIN!" Kendall swatted Zac's arm.
"Well, excuse us." Isaac grinned, putting his arms around Chloe's waist.
"I am so glad that the twins are over the breast feeding stage." Chloe laughed, handing Nick to Isaac.
"Yes you are!" Kendall laughed. "Wish mine was."
"I'm leaving now!" Taylor said wide-eyed. "I really don't want to know about breast feeding!"
"See ya." The girls both waved bye and the boys just laughed.
"I am sooo tired. I swear Zachary Jordan just wakes up and screams at the middle of the night just to annoy me." Kendall said, collapsing into Zac's arms.
"You have ONE. I have THREE!" Chloe told her.
"And that's my fault?" K laughed. "You're the one who's busy all the time!"
"I can't believe you just said that." Chloe told her.
"Neither can I!" Zac smiled and laughed.
"Ok, it makes no sense. You're the one popping out kids like cannon balls, although your religion believes in birth control. And I had one, but mine doesn't. Umm something's wrong with that." Kendall mentioned.
"Zac, what have you been giving your wife?" Ike asked his brother.
"Well besides the usual, nothing else I don't think." Zac smiled.
"Oh my god!" Chloe laughed. "I did not just hear that!"
"He meant drugs hun." Kenni smiled at Zac.
"Ok, I think we better go before one of us blurts another bad thing out." Ike said and stood up.
"Me too." Chloe said holding one of the two sleeping babies (Nick) and then giving him to Isaac..
"Where's Claire?" Zac asked standing up and holding his own child.
"In the playpen. Want me to get her for you Clo?" Kendall asked.
"Yeah, thanks. I have to carry all the baby stuff. I'll get yours too." She responded.
"No I got it." Zac said grabbing it from her hand. "You already have enough to carry and plus I'm stronger."
"So." Chloe said sticking her tongue out at him as Kendall picked up sleeping Claire.
"Ok lets go then." Ike said.
" Why can't he sleep like yours?" Zac said looking down at his smiling- baby boy.
"After the meet and greet the bus then left for the new venue in New York. Brian had decided to ride in the roadies bus for the rest of the tour. It was almost Christmas, so the further up the got, the colder it became.
"Isaac, we still have to go Christmas shopping for the kids." Chloe pointed out late that night.
"I know. We have a day off tomorrow. We can leave them with Kendall and Zac, or with Taylor and go to FAO Schwartz." Isaac suggested. Chloe nodded.
"Ok." Isaac picked up his guitar and started strumming a few chords. Chloe's eyes were on him constantly. After about 5 minutes, Isaac became uneasy. "What?"
"Nothing." Chloe responded. Isaac continued to play for a few more minutes, then stopped and held out his guitar.
"You wanna try?" he asked. Chloe grinned then nodded, taking his guitar from his hands.
"Gotta pick?" Isaac nodded, handing her the one he was using. Chloe put her fingers into G chord and started to play, wincing.
"Dang this hurts…" she mumbled, switching into D. She grinned and put her finger on the G string.
She started playing, and Isaac grinned. "You know how to play MMMBop?" Chloe nodded. "Oh God. I haven't played the lead part in a long time!" Isaac laughed. Chloe grinned, then handed the guitar back to Isaac along with the pick.
"Thanks." She smiled. Isaac put his guitar back into the case, then sat down next to her.
"You know what?" Isaac asked.
"What?"
"I think Kendall is right."
"About what?"
"About the whole birth control crack."
"Oh God." Chloe laughed. "It's against your religion."
Isaac nodded. "I know. But it's also against Kendall's, and when you think about it, we would have had 3 more kids then Zac and Ken and not just 2. And as odd as this sounds, I think I want another kid." Isaac shrugged.
Chloe grinned. "Wish granted."
Isaac raised his eyebrow. "Is that an invitation or a fact?"
"Fact."
"Are you serious?"
"I think so. I'm a month late."
Isaac jumped up and gave Chloe a huge hug.
"That makes four." Isaac grinned, then kissed her.
"Hopefully. I haven't even taken a test yet." Chloe pointed out.
"Every other time it's turned out positive." Isaac countered.
Chloe nodded. "True. But do me a favor and don' tell anyone. At least not yet, ok? I don't know whether or not I am, so…"
Isaac nodded. "Sure."
A few weeks later, once they were in Detroit, Chloe confirmed.
"Yeah Ike. This time it's single." The two agreed to hold off telling everyone or a few days.
That afternoon backstage, Chloe walked into the dressing room to find Taylor and Lila playing poker, with Kendall, Zac, and Isaac sitting on the sidelines.
"I fold." Taylor put his cards down and Lila squealed in delight.
"Mommy! Look, I won a sucker!" Chloe smiled, and picked Lila up.
"Wow honey… Pretty cool." Chloe stuck her tongue out at Taylor. "You know better then that Tay…"
"What?" Taylor exclaimed. "Isaac was the one who taught her!"
"Isaac…" Chloe rolled her eyes. "Take your daughter." Chloe set Lila in Isaac's lap. "Aren't the twins with Brian?"
Isaac nodded. "Yeah. He's teaching them how to set up a stage." Chloe laughed.
"Oh God. By the way, when are you guys gonna do your sound check?"
"At 4." Zac answered.
"Or in 15 minutes, whichever you prefer." Kendall grinned.
"Exactly. Perfect time to tell them." Zac pointed out. Everyone's full attention was now on the couple.
"Tell us what?" Chloe asked.
"That in 8 months, there's going to be another member in the family." Kendall grinned.
"And you say that we're busy…" Chloe grinned, giving her best friend a hug. Chloe saw the look in Isaac's eyes, so she nudged him, a signal not to tell anyone just yet.
"So it's due in August?" Chloe asked. Kendall nodded.
"Man girl… You're going to be miserable!" Chloe grinned.
They were flying home the next day, Christmas Eve. They would take a Christmas break and then continue touring again. Jessica had gotten a tree ready in Isaac and Zac's homes with the help of Avery, so all they had to do was wrap gifts.
The next day as the boarded the plane, the twins suddenly started crying- and they wouldn't stop. Chloe and Isaac regretted having the twin's first plane ride be a three-hour long one, but they were in a private jet, so it didn't really matter too much, considering that the only people onboard were the ones who had gone through such things before. Zachary, as Taylor later pointed out, seemed to be made for flying.
Once they touched down, Claire and Nick stopped and immediately fell asleep.
"Thank God for that." Chloe smiled, touching her own stomach. She was already close to three months pregnant, so her stomach wasn't exactly flat. She was surprised no one had noticed, granted that she usually wore tight shirts.
They arrived home late that night, just in time to put the kids to bed, unpack, and wrap the last of the gifts.
"Chloe, when are we going to tell them?" Isaac asked.
"I'm going to tell Kendall, but I don't want anyone else knowing. I know this sounds really strange, but I don't want to take the spotlight away from her. If anyone notices before 6 months, then ok. But if by 6 months I'm not big enough for people to actually tell, then we'll tell them, ok? So in March. Deal?" Chloe asked.
Isaac nodded, "I've never gotten your logic, but ok. And I'm absolutely positive Taylor will find out, because that boy has a sharp eye."
"That's true. Very, very true." Chloe smiled.
"The next day everyone opened presents at their house and then left to Diana's. They would open and exchange some presents over there and then have a big party with family and friends. Kendall and Zac would then announce it to their friends and family.
"Kenni, can I talk to for a second?" Chloe asked as they just began sitting down to open more presents.
"Sure." Kendall said, raising her eyebrows in suspicion. "Is something wrong?"
"No, but I just need to talk to you." Chloe said and walked her into the kitchen.
Once in there Chloe began to talk.
"What if I told you that I was going to have another baby?"
"I would think you are crazy for having so many kids and you aren't even 21 yet." K responded.
"Well…"
"Congratulations." Kendall smiled and hugged her.
"Thanks." Chloe hugged her back.
"Notice that out kids are always born around the same time. Promise me you'll hold off for a while!" Kendall told her.
"Trust me. No more kids for a long time."
"What? Either you're going to use the pill or quit for a while. Just can't see you doing that." Kendall laughed.
"Oh, be quiet. And I'm not telling anyone until later on. Let you have the spotlight for once in your life." Chloe laughed.
"Well I just wish my parents were here to know that they had grandchildren. (Kendall's parents died when she was 13 so she lived on and off with Chloe and other family until she moved in with Zac)
With that both girls went back into the living room to open up some more presents. Taylor had given Lila her own deck of cards with her uncles and father's pictures on the back. She was beaming.
During the next few months, no one noticed that Chloe's stomach was growing, except for Kendall and Isaac. As her 6th months approached, Taylor seemed to be wary of her.
"Hey Clo, let me get that!" he had said, grabbing the heavy suitcase. Chloe handed it to him without argument, and quietly followed him out to the bus. The twins were getting big now, so Isaac carried both of them whenever possible. Chloe was visibly pregnant, but she guessed that Zac and Taylor were stupid, or just non-observant. The now-baggy clothes she wore didn't help either.
"Thanks." Chloe smiled, but gave him a funny look.
"You guys ready?" Kendall said walking into the room. "We have to leave soon or we'll miss the plane."
"The tour had been done for about two months and they had that time to just relax at home. Now the boys had planned to fly to California to record a couple songs for a new album, Dedication. They had recording the rest of them right before they went on tour. This time the girls would stay home with their kids, both fathers -Ike in secrecy- telling their wives that they would be back in 3 months (June), just a month before Chloe was to have her baby. One of the boys' friends was driving them to the airport and was no picking up the last stop, Isaac. Kendall came alone just for the ride to Chloe's since she planned to spend the day there.
"Ike I think we should tell them now." Chloe whispered, when everyone was out of the room.
"I agree. They probably know by know, I mean you can tell that you're getting fatter." Ike pointed out.
"Yeah." She said and walked out of the room.
"You guys, we have a announcement to make." Chloe said, directing the announcement to the boys.
"Yes, she's finally going to say it." Zac whispered to himself.
"Say what?" Ike asked, raising an eyebrow and shooting Chloe an "I told you he knew" look.
"You're pregnant again aren't you?" He asked.
"How'd you know?" Chloe asked. "Kendall! Did you tell him?"
"No she did. I mean gosh, I DO know what a pregnant woman looks like!" Zac smiled.
"I have to say that I had my suspicions to. I knew that you were pregnant again by the way Ike always helped you carry stuff and just the way you guys looked. I'm used to the 'looks' by now, since babies are always popping out left and right around here!" Taylor laughed, always having to add another stupid comment into it.
"Well you won't see this look for a while." Chloe said half-looking at Tay and half-looking at Isaac.
"What about us?" Zac said whispering to his wife.
"We're holding off to Romeo." She said and kissed him.
After a couple minutes of everyone having to watch them kiss…
"Ok, you're making me sick! And we have to go!" Tay said pulling his brother away from Kendall.
After everyone had their big hugs bye the boys finally left, leaving the girls alone for two months to watch and take care of their growing and swelling bodies and the kids by themselves. Ike told Chloe that he would call his mom that night and tell her about the forth child. He knew she would probably freak about all the kids and give him a big lecture on it, but he knew he could suffer through it.
They waved goodbye, then Chloe drove the two. After the second time of nearly hitting a car, Kendall told Chloe to pull over.
"That's it girl, I am not letting you drive. Move." Chloe rolled her eyes and got out, allowing Kendall to drive.
"Dang girl, you drive like Zac… Always 15 miles above the speed limit." Chloe laughed. "Where the hell are we going?"
Kendall laughed. "The kids are at Diana's for the night. We're going… Where?"
"CHUCK E. CHEESE!" Chloe yelled. Kendall rolled her eyes.
"Fine! No playing in the balls in your condition… Or any more, for that matter."
Chloe laughed, and soon the two were battling it out at a Barbie and Ken water gun game.
"Barbie wants revenge! Ken wouldn't propose!" Kendall yelled.
"Like I'm gonna!" Chloe laughed.
"For once in my lifetime, I'm not Ken. I'm finally called Barbie for once." Kendall laughed as Barbie reached the end of the race first. "HA. Beat ya!"
After that, the two went back to the table to eat the pizza they had ordered. "You know what?" Chloe asked, stuffing her mouthful of pizza.
"What?" Kendall asked.
"I think the waitress was giving us weird looks." Chloe pointed out. Kendall nodded.
"I would too if I saw two pregnant girls sitting at a table with no kids!" Chloe laughed. "I don't care what she thinks. I love it here. I forgot how much fun this place was!" Kendall exclaimed. "We've got the bring the boys here sometime."
"Oh God!" Chloe laughed, but nodded her head in agreement.
"Oww!" Kendall winced a little.
"What?"
"The baby just kicked. I swear it wants out. Sorry baby, but you got 5 more months. It's only March 28th." Kendall smiled, looking at her tummy.
"When is he or she due?" Chloe asked.
"Exactly 9 months after it was conceived. August 13th." Kendall said, patting her stomach. "Yours is July 4th. Independence Day."
"Yep." Chloe smiled and ate a bite of the pizza.
The girls left 30 minutes later and went to Diana's to pick up the babies from their grandmother and aunts and uncles house. All three babies smiled in delight when they saw their mothers. Claire and Nick just learned how to walk a week ago so Chloe had them toddle to her. Kendall was lucky that Zachary just knew how to crawl, but he was a very fast one and to Ken and Zac's dismay loved to explore by crawling anytime he could.
"Thanks for driving us home. Bye. Bye Claire. Bye Nick. Kendall said to the little kids. "Say bye to your cousins Zac."
All he did was smile and wave his hands around, but both Chloe and Kendall laughed at his attempt to try it.
"Bye Zac. Bye Kenni." Chloe said bye to her best friend and continued driving the 20-minute drive back to her house.
"Hey you guys… did you have a good time at Grandma's?" Chloe asked Lila. Lila smiled.
"Yup! Uncle Mac taught me the words to MMMBop!"
"Wow, that's pretty cool… Do you want to sing it for Mommy?" Chloe asked. Lila nodded.
"You've had so many relationships in this life… Only one or two will last, you've gone through all this pain and strife, then you turn your back and it's gone so fast…" Lila sang. Chloe grinned and clapped her hands.
"Very good sweetie! You certainly got your father's voice." Chloe smiled.
"Mommy, did you know that Uncle Mackie has a girlfriend?" Lila grinned ear to ear.
"No way! How old is she?" Chloe asked, surprised. Mackie was only 13.
"Her name's Elizabeth and she can drive!" Lila exclaimed in delight.
"She is, eh? Does grandma know?"
Lila nodded. "Yup. They went upstairs into Mackie's room to play." Lila grinned innocently. Chloe rolled her eyes.
"Honey, when you're that age you're never gonna have a boyfriend." Chloe mumbled, turning into the driveway.
"Why not mommy?" Lila asked.
"Because I'm the mommy, that's why." Chloe grinned. Lila got out of the car while Chloe got Claire and Nick out of the car.
That night, Chloe put the kids to bed and curled up in front of the TV, watching TRL.
"And in new music news, Hanson is currently working on their follow up album to their multi-million selling 'Blaze'. The album is due out in the fall, and it's rumored to be called 'Dedication', after their wives and children. Speaking of children, Zac and Isaac are going to be fathers again! Chloe and Kendall Hanson are both pregnant, Chloe, Isaac's wife, being about 6 months pregnant, while Kendall, Zac's wife, is about 5." Chloe shut the TV off, then went into the master bedroom. Went into bed and buried her head into the pillow, almost instantly falling asleep.
"The next morning Chloe woke up bright and early for some reason. She called Kendall just to piss her off by waking her up before 7:30. After about 15 minutes of talking they both hung up the phone. Chloe quickly made some eggs and pancakes for her and Lila and some extra bacon for herself. She warmed up the babies some milk and got out some of the baby food. The twins got up around 8:00, leaving Lila the only one sleeping. Chloe guessed that with all the noise from the cooking and the babies fussing about she would be up in the next half an hour.
After they all woke up and ate their breakfast Chloe called Kendall and asked her to come shopping with her. Kendall asked about the baby, but Chloe already had it taken care of. A girl from the neighborhood would baby-sit all 3 babies and Lila would be the regular big sister and help.
Kendall quickly got little Zachary dressed in one of his blue jumpers and grabbed his binkie and bottle. She knew that Chloe had extras but brought some anyway. She drove to Chloe's and waited around for the sitter for about 10 minutes until they left in Kenni's car.
"Man… For once in my life, I have freedom from the kids and Isaac." Chloe sighed happily, leaning her head against the chair.
"Yeah. What kind of animal do you think Zac looks like?" Kendall asked.
"A gorilla." Chloe answered truthfully. Kendall laughed.
"Well, Isaac looks like a wombat!"
"At least he doesn't look like a flamingo like Taylor!" Chloe snorted.
"Good God… I'm not even going to ask." Kendall laughed as she parked at the mall. "I love these little 'expectant mother' signs!"
"You would." Chloe smiled.
"Yep, I would." Kendall laughed and parked the car in the closest spot to the store's doors.
Once they were inside, they headed to a baby store, where they found themselves surrounded by blue and pink.
"Jeez… do you know what your baby's gonna be yet?" Chloe asked Kendall.
"No, I don't. And I HATE yellow! Blue's ok, but I really got sick of blue from Zac." Kendall laughed, "What is my baby gonna wear?"
Chloe laughed. "I got like purple and yellow for Lila… Or bright orange. I'm sure Zac would like that."
Kendall laughed. "Oh God."
The next few hours were spent buying baby clothes and clothes for Lila.
"I can't believe they're gonna be gone for 2 months and it's only been two days!" Chloe exclaimed.
"Don't depress me." Kendall said as they were pulling up into their mother-in-law's driveway.
