The Asterion was a barque of 540 tons, chartered by the Shaw Savill Company early in the eighties. She ran chiefly to Nelson completing ten voyages to that port.Back to the Bluff Passenger Ships Page.The Asterion made only one passage to Bluff , which arrived here on 19 February 1896, taking 113 days, under the command of Captain Foote.
As yet I have not been able to find any passenger lists for this ship, but I will keep on looking.
