An average night at FEX

An average night at the Fencing Exchange

OK. My average night of fencing goes something like this; I arrive at The Fencing Exchange (usually late) at 7 PM.

Climb the steps to the school to find my fellow students waiting for class to begin

Change as fast as I can and begin with our Warmup excercises. The pictures accompianing the above link are of 3 different types of games we play to warm up. I don't know why they call them warmup excercises cause after they are over I'm in need of a towel and a quart of Gatorade!

So much for warming up!

Then its time to suit up, form our rank, and perform the group salute.
In case your wondering, thats Nichole standing next to me in the top picture. To put it simply, when I grow up, I want to fence just like here. If your want to know why, follow the Nichole link on the Warmup page.

After all the students salute our instructor, an action that every fencer is very familiar with, it's time for Fencing Drills.
