Joe and Brad both play an assortment of Gibson Les Pauls and Gibson Explorers. Joe also plays his signature Les Paul. They both also play Fender Stratocasters, and Telecasters, among others. Joe uses a slide for several songs as well. I've even seen Brad use an EVH Wolfgang!

What kind of drums does Joey use?

Yes, released in 1998 on Columbia Records is Classics Live Complete, which contains just that.

Why are there two different versions of the Nine Lives cover?
The first cover with the female cat on the snakes caused an outrage because of it's resemblance to a Hare Krishna painting. The band paid a licensing fee to avoid having to recall all the original pressings with this cover. Then after the first million or so pressings were sold all new editions had the cover of the male cat on the spinning wheel.

Has Aerosmith ever been on MTV Unplugged?
Yes, but for some reason an album of the concert was never released.

Why can't I find this Made In America album I keep hearing about?
The Made In America EP was released in U.S. Wal-Mart stores only, as a promotional album for Nine Lives. You can only find it there, unless you get lucky and see it at a used cd store.

Joey and his girlfriend used to draw the name over their textbooks and notebooks in high school for no apparent reason. He was gonna name one of his pre-Aero band this, but didn't. When the band was trying to come up with a name, Joey suggested Aerosmith, and they accepted it as "the only name nobody hated".

What were some of the suggested names for the band?
Many names were used: Spike Jones and The Hookers were the most seriously considered. But Jack Daniels, Boonsfarm, and Stit-Jane were also suggested.

In July 1999 Disneyworld in Orlando, Florida debuted the Rockin' Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith. It features an individual sound system for each seat, loops reaching up to 4Gs, and can go from 0 to 60 in 2.8 seconds! It also features NEW that's right new music from Aerosmith, and videos of the band as well.

What is the Mama Kins club?
The Mama Kin Music Hall is a nightclub in Boston on Landsdowne Street. It's co-owned by Aerosmith and Pat Lyons, and features lots of Aero-memorabilia, cafe, and, of course, a concert stage! Aerosmith occasionally performs there as well. Well at least they used to. Aerosmith has since sold all their shares in Mama Kins to Pat Lyons, and the club has been renamed and no longer has anything to do with Aerosmith. Ain't that a bitch?

What happened to Steven and Joey in 1998?
At a concert in Anchorage, Alaska in April 1998 Steven seriously hurt his knee. Here's how it happened: During the first song of a three song encore (which was Mama Kin) he swung his mikestand like he always does. This time however, the 20-pound base of the microphone stand hit his knee. The Aero tour was postponed for a few months. Then in the summer of 1998 Joey was filling his Ferrari up with gas and suddenly it exploded! He suffered second degree burns and was rushed to the hospital. However both healed and Aerosmith went "On The Road Again" in September.

How did Aerosmith come to work on the Armageddon soundtrack?
Director Michael Bay and producer Jerry Brockenheimer of Armageddon are both Aero fans. Bay even directed the Falling In Love (Is Hard On The Knees) video. Anyways... and since Liv was in the movie they thought it would be a doubly good idea to include some Aerosmith tunes in it, so they put Sweet Emotion and Come Together in the movie. They also wanted a love song, so they had Diane Warren write I Don't Want To Miss A Thing, and they asked Aerosmith if they would perform the song for the movie. Obviously they agreed. They said though that if they did that song that they would have to do a rocker, and the Armageddon guys said sure and they went into the studio and cut What Kind of Love Are You On? an outtake from Nine Lives, and put it on the soundtrack also.

One of the Aerosmith albums thanks a "Michael Anthony" in the linear notes. Is this the Van Halen bassist?
No, it is not.

Did Aerosmith ever make a demo tape?
No Aerosmith never made a demo tape. They didn't have to, they got signed to a recording contract by performing live at Max's Kansas City... in front of Columbia Records' Clive Davis no less.

What instrumental Aerosmith songs exist?
Not many. There are several on Pandora's Box (KraWhitHam, Cirelc Jerk, Soul Saver, I Live In Conneticutt, Let It Slide, and Shit House Shuffle), and on singles, but only two on regular studio album. They are The Movie from Peramanent Vacation and Boogie Man from Get A Grip. There are also some others that could be considered instrumental too, such as Water Song and Dulcimer Stomp from Pump, though they are really a parts of different songs. There is also some unlisted and uncredited music at the end of Pump after The Other Side that is instrumental.

So it's him if you consider him a member. But out of the "classic" lineup Joe has been there the least, even though Brad was the last to join, he left Aerosmith for almost 4 years.
