Zac paced back and forth across his bedroom. It was ten minutes after nine. I'm risking everything for this girl, and she's late! Why isn't she here yet? , he thought. After all the trouble he had gone to, squaring things off with Taylor and Isaac so they wouldn't tell. He sort of had to "pay" both of them. He promised Taylor that he wouldn't try to scare the living daylights out of him or pull any pranks on him for the next two months. And he gave Isaac fifty bucks to keep him quiet. Adia had better show up. He heard a knock on the window and looked up. The girl of his dreams stood outside.
Adia had dressed nicely, hoping she'd get to meet Taylor. She wore black silk drawstring pants and a maroon tank top with flowers and butterflies on it. Just the sight of Zac made her smile. He walked over and opened the window.
"Hi," he said. His blond hair was pulled back in a ponytail and he wore jeans and a T-shirt.
"Hi, Zac," Adia said, as Zac helped her climb in. "Sorry, I'm late, but Mom took forever in the bathroom this morning."
"It's alright," he said, smiling. Somehow her lateness didn't really seem to matter anymore to him, because she was finally there. "I'm glad you came."
"Are Taylor and Isaac here?" she asked.
"Nope. Everyone's gone. Tay and Ike are at a friend's house. Dad's at work, and Mom took the other four shopping. So it's just us," he replied.
"Oh," she said disappointedly. "Well, what do you want to do?" She looked around the large room. There was a set of bunk beds in one the corner of the room, with a single bed next to it. The walls were covered with posters from different places and bands.
"Well . . . um . . . do you like video games?" he asked.
"Yeah! What do you have?" she responded.
"Well . . . we have a Nintendo 64," he said.
"Do you have MarioKart 64?" she asked.
"You're in luck, because we do," he answered.
"Awesome!" she exclaimed. They sat down in front of the T.V. and began to play.
A few hours later, they heard someone come into the house. Zac quickly turned of the Nintendo and the T.V.
"Go hide in the closet!" he whispered to Adia.
"Why?" she asked.
"Because it might be my mom!" He shoved her in the closet and shut the door. Then he plopped don on his bed and picked up a book, acting like he was reading. The door opened.
"Hi, Zackie!" Taylor said, as he and Isaac came in.
"Hi, guys," Zac responded. Taylor came and sat down next to him.
"Uh . . . your book's upside down," Taylor said. Zac quickly closed the book and put it down. "So . . . where is she?"
"She? What makes you think she's still here?" Zac asked.
"How loud you sighed when you realized it was only us," Isaac replied. "Come on, Romeo. We want to meet her."
"I'm right here," Adia said, coming out of the closet. "Hi! I'm Adia."
"Well, hello," Isaac said. "I'm Isaac, and this is Taylor." He pointed to his blue-eyed brother.
"I know. It's nice to meet you," she responded.
"You, too," Taylor said, standing up and shaking her hand. It took all of her strength to not scream. Taylor Hanson, the Taylor Hanson, had just touched her hand.
"I can't believe I'm actually getting to meet Taylor Hanson. I'm your biggest fan. I have my own website dedicated entirely to you! I went to four of your concerts this summer! And I have a huge poster of you taped on the ceiling over my bed! Your eyes are even bluer than they are in your pictures!" Adia said. Taylor gave Zac an amused look, as Zac turned beet red.
"Yeah . . . um . . . Ike, lets go downstairs and get something to eat," Taylor said.
"Okay," Isaac said, yawning. They quickly exited the room.
"Man, is she crazy! Talk about obsessed!" Taylor whispered to Ike as they walked out.

Adia left at about three. Taylor and Isaac finally came back upstairs.
"So what did you think of Adia?" Zac asked his brothers.
"She's gorgeous," Isaac said, Taylor nodding in agreement.
"But she's a little weird," Taylor added. "I have just one question, Zac. Not meaning to sound conceited or anything, but why did you fall for a girl who is so obviously obsessed with me?"
"She's just a friend," Zac lied, casually, with a wave of his hand. "And she didn't go gaga until you showed up." He scowled playfully at his older brothers.
"Yeah, sure. She's just a friend, Zac. We believe you," Isaac said, sarcastically, rolling his eyes. "First, you risk getting in more trouble with Mom and Dad by bringing her here. Then you turn pea green with envy when she went nuts over Tay. You'd have to like her to risk that and to put up with her obsession. It's very apparent you like her."
"I do not!" Zac exclaimed.
"Give it up, Zac. You like her. And she likes Tay," Ike responded. "What I don't get is why. It's totally hopeless."
"I don't like her like that!" Zac yelled. "I've already told you that! So shutup!" He got up and stomped out of the room, slamming the door behind him.
"He's got it bad," Isaac said, laughing.
"Oh, yeah," Taylor said, smiling. "No doubt about it."
