My mom had to be induced because she had toxemia really bad. Mom had to go to the hospital the day before I was born so they could monitor her blood pressure. But since my mom wasn't dialating after 16 hours, the doctor wanted her to go home and rest. Mom said that she wasn't going to leave the hospital without me in her arms.
Around 5:00 PM the second day (24 hours later) my mom started having one constant contration. It is called a "locked contraction" and she was only dialated to a 2 1/2. The doctor saw how much pain mommy was in and started to get worried.
Mommy was getting really scared and started to hyper ventiate until Aunt Tina made her do the lamaze breething. Then mommy did really good. But my heart rate was going down so the nurse put a fetal monitor in my head which caused them to break my water. After that mom got even worse and so the doctor let mom have the epidural at 7:30 even though she was only dialated to a 2 1/2 still, but 15 minutes after she got the epidural she was dialated to a 4 and so the doctor wanted her to rest.
A few people was coming in the room to tell mom "HI" before she went to sleep and mom felt the urge to push so my Aunt Tina went and got the nurse and had her check and see how dialated my mom was and she was already at a ten and that was only 30 minutes after having the epidural. So the nurses got my room ready and was telling mommy not to push cause the doctor wasn't there yet. Mommy started wanting to push at 8:20 P.M. and I was born at 8:38 pm on a thursday night. Once I decided to come, I wasted no time.
