| The next day, I was planning on asking Sara about what was happening between her and Lindhall. After dinner I conered her in our living room. "I was going to ask you-" "Sorry, can it wait? I have to go grade some papers with Lindhall." Sara said cutting me off. "And I have to get some help with my frog pond. So I'm kinda busy." "I guess so." And with that she left. "What were you going to ask her?" Sarah asked me. "Sorry I overheard." "Well,..." I told her what I had seen last night. "Wow, that would be an even bigger scandal than Numair and Daine. She's Daine's age, but Lindhall was Numair teacher!" "I didn't even think of it like that, it's just... I never pictured them with each other. Did you?" I asked. "No, but -," She paused. "I'll have to ask her about that." "I've going to try to. I'm as curious as you are. I almost wanted to go over and ask her right then and there." "Ask who?" Kelly asked. "Oh nothing." Sarah replid quickly. "Hey, I have to go and get some powdered chicken's tooth. Want to come." "Sure-" Sarah and I said together. We talked about our day as we were walking to Lindhall's apartment. Kelly knocked on the door. "Who is it?" Lindhall called from inside. "Kelly." "Just a minute." Then we heard a shuffle of papers and a muffled voice. Lindhall opened the door and welcomed us in. "Oh, hello Leah and Sarah. What did you want Kelly?" "Do you have any powdered chickens tooth? I need some for that spell." While Kelly was talking to Lindhall, Sarah and I were both looking around. We saw papers on a table that looked as if they had hardly been touched, and two cups of something with them. We didn't say anything, but we both exchanged glances. "Well, if that's it I have to get back to grading all of those papers from today." Lindhall said ushering them to the door. "I can stay and help if you want. I really don't have anything to do." Kelly said politely. "Oh no, you've helped me enough for today." And with that we were standing outside of the door. "Well, he certainly didn't seem himself...," Kelly said to herself. Sarah and I looked at each other and tried to suppress our laughter.
