Chapter 25 ~ Moonlight

I couldn't help it, I screamed and apparently for long enough to send the Sara(h)'s and Kelly running to my side.

"What is that?" Sara said pointing.

"What's the matter?" Kelly added.

"Why did you scream? I was dreaming... I think?" Sarah tumbled in.

The three of them all got their eyes back at the same time. They all suddenly took notice and realized that there was a glowing, gold sword floating by my bed. I heard a few squeaks.

"Okay, somebody has some explaining to do!" Sara walked over to it.

"Well to put it mildly, it's some sort of enchanted sword that speaks Spanish."

"Oh yeah, I REEaly believe that one. Hola espalda. ¿Qué tal?"

Sharpie must have said something to her, because all of a sudden she got all pale and squeak loudly. "It... it... it talked?!?"

"Yeah that still haunting me. So that's not just me right?"

"Uh what are you guys talking about?" Sarah said while Kelly gawked on.

"Yeah, sword... talking... By the way WHY is there a floating gold sword in our room?" Kelly walked around the bed to get a closer look at it.

"Well, I don't know how much I can tell you now, but all of this happened last night and well as to how he got here, don't even ask me."

I got up, feeling as if I could not sleep if I tried, while the others just started to get ready for their days, since it was around 6 or so, by the amount of light outside.

"Uhhh," I dragged myself out of bed and dragged a brush through my nappy bed head.

"*I can help with that.*"

'Huh? What do you mean help?'

"*Well here let me show you.*" All of a sudden my hair laid straight and perfect as if it had just been washed, dried, shined, and brushed.

'Wow, nice, thanks.'

"*That's easy, just don't make me help you get ready for balls and stuff. That froo-froo stuff bugs me.*"

"Sure whatever."

"Who are you talking to?" Kelly walked into our room.

"Uhh nobody."

"*Thanks*"

'Well your not ALIVE so your not a somebody.'

"*Good point.*"

'Thanks'

"Are you listening to any of the words coming - out - of - my - mouth?"

"Uhh sorry, spaced out there for a minute. So what?"

"Okay, try again. There are some people out here who would like to see you."

"Tell them to give me a minute."

"Okay," and with that Kelly left the room.

I in the meantime, put on one of the clean dresses I had, only to find it wrinkled. All I had to do was raise one eyebrow to Sharpie, and suddenly the dress was like new, perfect.

I went out after telling Sharpie to stay put, only to find two guys around 20ish waiting in our entrance. I also noticed that Sara had made some tea and was serving it to them while chatting it up with a cute one. "Can I help you?"

They both looked at me and looked taken aback. "Oh, so you were the one who helped out yesterday..." The cute one said. It took me a second or two to notice that the other one was Francis.

"Yeah, 'ello Francis."

"Oh so you do remember that I didn't take you somewhere dark and dank and beat you to death with a shovel..."

Hmm, twisted sense of humor.

"*Definatly*"

"Yeah, that I do remember..."

"Oh well this is Riley of Finns Lake. He's going to be the one who helps you learn your swordry." Frank took a sip of tea like it was any other day.

"Yeah, and..."

"And we start today so gather up your skirts and let's get going." He put his tea down. "Thanks for the tea. But we have to go. We have a practice court reserved, but It's hard ot get to, you know one of those places where you have to go up to go down. So come on."

"Well aren't you forgetting something?" I asked thinking of obviously duh the sword.

"No, i don't think so why?"

"Well, what about the sword? Don't you think that I kinda need that?"

"Well, uh there was a problem and uh-" Francis looked a little nervous.

"Oh so you weren't going to tell me it was missing..."

"What the sword missing? I don't know what your talking about.."

"Man, just give it up... She obviously knows, and frankly (no pun intended) you suck at lying." Riley had finished his tea and came over. "There was a a situation last night and the sword did escape, but we aren't supposed to tell you that so, Mum's the word."

"Oh but what if I said I knew where Sharpie was...?"

Riley laughed, "Sharpie huh? Well then where is he?"

I took in a deep breath and whistled while in my mind saying, 'Will you please come out here?'

"*Of course*"

When the two men saw the sword come flying out of my bedroom they both freaked.

"What... Huh... How?" They both turned to look at me with bewilderment filled eyes. "I mean, how or WHY you? No offence." Francis looked the most puzzled and his question brought about a new look, awe. "Are you some kind of powerful mage or something?"

Seriously that had never crossed my mind. When I came I assumed that they had checked me for any magic and them not saying anything almost proved my point. "For the life of me, I don't think so. Nothing I have done would lead me to believe that, no."

"Well this is certainly puzzling... BUT we do need to go and get to work before someone tries to take our practice court." Riley took a last sip of tea and got up.

"What about the sword, are we going to take him?"

"*Yeah what about me? Oh the poor sword, let's lock him up some more... Tisk Tisk, I expected more from these two honestly.*"

'What do you mean?'

"*Oh just grazing their outer thoughts, well Francis is just about horrified he thinks your an evil mage well sort of... and Riley there is just almost carefree and he wants to get going, thinks we should leave me here, and oh well you don't need to know that.*"

'For the life of me sword, tell me!'

"*Oh well he just likes the tea and it's server to put it mildly.*"

'Hmm, interesting, she might like to know that... But can you read everyone's mind?'

"*Not really, if they have shields up I can't or if they don't have any loose thoughts running through their heads, like when they are sleeping and such.*"

'I'll have to remember that, but just for now, go back into the room and get out of site, you can come out after we leave.'

"Hello, Earth to Leah!?" Sara was calling me out of my talk.

"Oh sorry what?"

"Go on, they're leaving, I'm to take out Mr. Swordy here back into your room. Bye and good luck, I just might have to visit you sometime..." She grinned and grabbed up Sharpie and went out of site.

I in turn got up and crossed the room to where the men were waiting by the door.

"Oh goody, another fun adventure for Leah and the Sailor Scouts. Now where did I put my moon tiara?"

They both gave me extremly weird looks, while Kelly joked, "She's had a bit too much moonlight."
