Since December of 1997 WOLF has been one of the most successful e-wrestling federations on the entire internet. But now, just as all good things come to an end. It's time for WOLF as well, to reach the end of the road.
As of February 3rd, WOLF was officially closing down. The website, guestbook and chat room will still be up. So, you can still go there and express your views.
We felt it was just the best time to close down WOLF at this point. It wasn't declining or anything, in fact it was very strong right now and things were getting really hot. We just felt that WOLF had runs its course and we accomplished everything we wanted to do with it. The motivation and interest seemed to be fading a bit on our part and we decided that it was best to close WOLF at its prime and when it was still on top of the e-wrestling world.
I know everyone had their place in WOLF and it couldn't have been as good as it was without everyone taking part in it. I would like to give my thanks to everyone involved in WOLF since the day it opened up till today. To the WOLF staff and the handlers. I hope you all enjoyed your time in WOLF, I know I did, but now its time to move on.
I encourage people NOT to start up a new fed independently. If you want to run an e-fed, make sure you have a plan and have some support. Without those things, a new fed is going to go NOWHERE, and will just be another in the overly long lists of crappy e-feds.
WOLF is known as one of the best feds on the internet, and probably the best fed there ever was. Our first card was on December 19th, 1997. And in less than 2 months we already had well over 200 applicants. We made it into the Top 200 of the most visited sports websites according to Web Side Story. WOLF took 4 months of planning before the first card was actually put on and that was the basis of our commitment. Alot of work went into WOLF, we didn't just put togethor a 24 hour fed, we spent alot of time and it really showed in product.
WOLF probably had the best competition out of any e-feds out there. Undoubtedly, we have the most action packed and entertaining cards. They may have been late from time to time, but they were always worth the wait.
I hope you enjoyed WOLF. I was happy and proud to bring it to you. But now the WOLF era is finished.
