The doorbell rang at Isabelle's house, and she ran down the stairs to get it, expecting A.J. to her surprise, it was Taylor.
"Hi, I don't mean to be rude or anything, but what are you doing here?" Isabelle asked.
"Oh, um, A.J. got grounded last night, he was late for curfew, so he asked me to take you, it was too late to call." Taylor answered.
"Oh, okay, well let's go then. I'll get my jacket." Isabelle said reaching for her jacket. She walked outside and closed the door.
"Aren't you going to say goodbye to your mom?" Taylor asked.
"Lisa's not my mom." Isabelle said quickly. Taylor looked surprised. They got into the cab, and Isabelle felt bad for snapping. "Sorry. . . . . . She's my aunt. My mom ran out on me, about the same time my dad died, or so I'm told, I believe he left me too."
"Oh, I'm sorry." Taylor said.
"It's okay, I've learned to deal." Isabelle said. "You really wouldn't understand anyway, you've got like nine people in your family, you can't ever feel alone."
"I do, sometimes, I mean, my mom and dad are always with Zoe now, and then everyone at some point has something to do, or just doesn't want to be around anyone, it's too annoying, but I love being with everyone, sometimes, it just seems that everytime I want to be them, they want to be left alone, and vise versa." Taylor said.
"Yeah, but at least you know they're there." Isabelle answered.
"I guess." Taylor answered. They had now become so close to each other that their noses were almost touching.
"Hey lovebirds, we have reached our destination, Lillith Fair, that will be $32.55 please." The taxicab driver said from the front seat, startling both Taylor and Isabelle.
"Uh, yeah sure, here you go sir, thanks." Taylor said handing him the money and getting out of the cab, holding the door open for Isabelle.
After finally getting in the concert, it was about lunch time, so they decided to get something to eat.
"Um, I'll have a veggie burger and some spicy fries, and a diet Pepsi, please." Isabelle told the man behind the food counter.
"I'll have the same, except, I'll have a hamburger and some regular fries, and a regular Pepsi." Taylor said.
"Ok , I think the saying 'I'll have the same', usually means , you'll have the same thing." Isabelle said laughing as they collected their food.
Taylor started laughing. "I changed my mind." Still laughing as they were walking to their seats, a really tall guy was running and bumped into Isabelle, knocking her burger to the floor.
"Shoot! I was looking forward to that. Ewww, is there a nearby garbage anywhere?" Isabelle said.
"I'll pick it up." Taylor said, bending down to pick up the burger.
"No, no, no, I'll get it" Isabelle said also bending down to pick it up, their heads bumped together, and Isabelle flung her hand towards the forehead at once. "Ow." She said lightly
Taylor smiled lightly. "Sorry, I know my head's hard." He said putting his hand on her forehead also. Their eyes locked, Isabelle thought his eyes never looked more blue. Taylor slid his hand behind Isabelle's neck and pulled her towards his lips.
"Where is Taylor today? I've called a million times and he's never 'able to come to the phone' where is he?" Courtney said in a pouty voice
"Get over yourself, maybe he has better things to do with his life than care for you." A.J. said. "He has a life."
"Like you right?" Courtney said with a smug smile. "But, seriously, you should know where he is, you're his best friend, where is he?"
"Alright, promise you won't be mad?" A.J. said sitting down at the edge of her queen sized bed.
"What is he doing?" Courtney asked sitting up, interested.
"He went to the Littith Fair concert. . . . " A.J. answered.
"Oh, well, that's not so bad." Courtney said, relaxed.
"With Isabelle." A.J. finished, Courtney shot up again.
"What!!! With Isabelle! Why is he with Isabelle?!?!?!"
"You said you wouldn't get mad, Courtney. Besides, what's the big deal, for some reason, Taylor loves you." A.J. said.
"I never said I wouldn't get mad. Don't you see that she likes him? I can tell, believe me, I can see it in her eyes. Obviously you don't see it." Courtney said, picking up the phone and starting to dial Taylor's beeper number.
"I don't believe you, how can you think like that, Taylor would never cheat on you, and Isabelle doesn't like him." A.J. said getting up, he left the room, but when he got outside, he leaned against the wall, and said aloud quietly, "Right?"
~*~*~At The Concert~*~*~
At first Isabelle was surprised, but relaxed and received his kiss with pleasure. A while passed, not long, but a while, and Taylor pulled away.
"We should find our seats." Taylor said, picking up the burger with one hand and helping Isabelle up with the other. He threw the burger out and then led Isabelle to their seats.
They sat uncomfortably on their seats, ignoring all the people that were standing and singing along to Lisa Loeb, Isabelle was looked at Taylor.
What was he thinking? He looks as if he were in shock.
She decided to say something.
"I'm sorry!" Taylor and Isabelle said in unison. They then laughed lightly.
"I don't mean to be rude, or seem like a total jerk, but, would you mind . . . if you didn't tell A.J. or Courtney about what happened?" Taylro eyes, looked hopeful.
"Yeah, sure, I wasn't going to anyway." She answered, and then turned to look back at the stage. They sat there for a long time, each thinking of what to say.
