"Hello?" She said groggily.
"Hey Izzy, it's A.J. up and at 'em, it's 9:00, meet me in lobby for breakfast in half an hour. OK? See you then love." A.J. said hanging up before Isabelle could say anything.
She got up slowly and got ready. She met A.J.'s time limit, meeting him downstairs for breakfast.
A.J. was waiting impatiently, looking at his watch every 5 seconds.
"Hey." Isabelle said walking up to him.
"Hey, Isabelle, where have you been?" A.J. asked worriedly.
"I was getting ready, what's big deal? I'm actually 5 minutes early!" Isabelle said.
"Oh, my watch must be fast, sorry let's go sit at the buffet." He said leading the way towards their table.
Isabelle ate her food in silence because she was so tired.
"Taylor will join us later. He had to sleep for his concert tonight." A.J. said, as Isabelle perked up.
A.J. seemed to notice.
"So, perk up for him, I see." A.J said eating a peice of toast.
"What? I was just 'perking up' because you let him sleep and you woke me up so early. I enjoy sleeping, that's why I perked up." Isabelle answered.
"Oh, I see. tell me, do you have an explination of why you love him?" A.J. asked expectantly.
"What?" Isabelle said looking shocked.
"You heard me, I can tell you know. You love him, and you are just using me to be near him." A.J. said, continuing to eat his eggs.
"I don't believe you, you came on to me! Remember? I am not using you for anything." Isabelle said.
"You didn't answer my question. Do you love Taylor Hanson?" A.J. asked.
Isabelle got up and walked out to the balcony.
"I thought so." A.J. said. Getting up with tears in his eyes, running towards the elevator.
As it opened, Taylor appeared.
"Hey, man, what's wrong?" Taylor asked.
"What's wrong? I'll you what's wrong. The girl I love, doesn't love me back and you know why that is? It's because she's in love with my best friend, you. She's in love with you, and you don't even see the wonderfulness of her, her caring spirit, her kind heart, her gentleness, because you are under my sister's 'spell'. Her hurtful heart, her disgusting schemes she cooks up, you don't see that and I sure as hell don't see why." A.J. yelled as he walked into the elevator and pushed his floor number.
"A.J. wait!" Taylor called, but the doors had already closed.
Taylor walked to the lobby, and looked for Isabelle. When he saw her on the balcony, he walked towards her.
"A.J. said-" Taylor started.
"I heard what he said, the whole hotel what he said." Isabelle said, not looking up.
"I just realized, Isabelle, that he's right. You are kind hearted, and you do care, and Courtney is all those things he said she was." Taylor said.
"How can you say that? He's right, I have been using him. I feel awful, that is not what a kind hearted person does." Isabelle said crying.
"Don't say that, you are nice and generous, and so much more." Taylor said.
They were quiet just looking at the scenery.
"Courtney wasn't always like that was she? I saw you at the park, you were having a great time, but when I saw your face when you saw those two people the girl buying that balloon for her because she lost hers. Courtney did that once, didn't she?" Isabelle said after a while.
"Yeah . . . how did you know?" Taylor asked.
"I have a knack for seeing these kind of things." They were quiet again. "You know . . . I would've given anything for you to say that A.J. was right about me. What I'm thinking is, that he had to yell at you, get hurt, embarass himself, for you to realize that. . . . I don't love A.J., but I like him, a lot. I don't love you, either, I love the image of you. I don't know you. You won't let me know you. You say you love those things about me. . . since when? You love Courtney." Isabelle said.
"She wasn't always like that you know, she was caring and sweet, friendly, gentle, she loved children. I don't know what happened, one day, she just changed, I just thought it was PMS, I was wrong, she changed, and I don't think she'll ever change back." Taylor said looking at the sky.
"You don't know that, maybe she just feels insecure about your fame. . . . . Anyway, I don't think we should persue anything right now, I really wouldn't be fair to A.J. or Courtney, and I just don't know what I want right now." Isabelle said.
Taylor turned to look at her and said,
"I think you are right, Isabelle. I have got to find A.J. I'll see you around." Taylor said walking towards the main lobby.
"Taylor!" Isabelle called up behind him. He turned around to face her.
"Yeah?"
"I want to be friends. I want to talk to you about anything and everything. Is that okay?" Isabelle asked.
Taylor smiled. "Yeah, I think that would be great." Taylor walked briskly to Isabelle and hugged her tight. He released his grip and waved and walked back inside.
