In Taylor's Eyez

I slammed the taxi's door shut, after Isabelle got out of it. And we walked to the front gates of the park. We decided to go on all the upsidedown rides first, so that we wouldn't throw up after they ate.

"AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Isabelle and I screamed while they double looped on the rollar coaster.

"That was so much fun! I would ask to go again, but the line is like, the size of Yonge Street." (E.D. A street in Toronto, Canada, the longest street in the world) Isabelle said.

"That's ok, maybe it'll be shorter later. Let's go get some cotton candy, shall we?" I asked.

"Lead on." Isabelle answered.

We started eating their purple cotton candy, and walking around.

"Oh, hold this? Gotta tie my shoe." Isabelle said, handing me her candy and bending down to tie her shoe.

I was looking around, and saw this little girl admiring her balloon with a face on it, looking up, watching it sway in the light wind and laughing. I guess she wasn't watching where she was going, because she tripped, she fell lightly, but she lost her balloon. I was about to go help her, when this beautiful girl, picked her up and asked if she was okay. The girl nodded and rubbed her eyes. The older girl then stopped a clown and bought another balloon for the little girl. Her eyes lit up and she smiled, she thanked the girl and ran away.

I thought about a time when Courtney would have been that girl who helped her. Helping her up and buying her another balloon. Yet now, she probably would have been the person to trip the little girl.

"Hey, Taylor, hello? What are you doing?" Isabelle said walking up to me.

"Uh, nothing, just thinking about . . . " I started.

"Courtney?" She asked.

"Yeah. You're good at that." I said laughing.

"Yeah, well, come on, let's go on another ride." Isabelle said.

* * *

Isabelle and I walked into the hotel laughing. Then Isabelle stopped laughing suddenly.

"What?" I asked. Then I looked up, there was Courtney with her arms crossed and a furious creased face was upon her. "Oh." I answered. Courtney walked quickly towards us. Didn't say a word to Izzy, and pulled me away.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Courtney practically yelled.

"I went to the amusement park with Izzy." I answered calmly.

"Izzy?! Izzy?! That's what you're calling her now? Omigod, I can't believe you. I really think you are spending entirely too much time with this Izzy." Courtney said pressing the name Izzy, like it was a bug that needed to be killed.

"I'm sorry, but I'm not going to stop seeing a friend because you're jealous. Maybe, if that's the way you feel, we shouldn't be together. Think about it. I've gotta go." I said walking away. I felt guilty, proud, happy and sad. When I saw Izzy waiting for me, I just felt proud and happy, because I defended her. But it made me wonder why.
