*chapter 11*

Taylor couldn’t believe his eyes! Could it be? He wouldn’t get his hopes up, for fear of being let down...he walked towards the dark shiny object laying by the front door. Was it? Yes! It was! His leather pants! They had returned! They had returned safely to their home and beloved owner! Taylor picked them up carefully, so as not to disturb them, and hugged them to his body. They had returned! He was joyful! Infinite happiness! Never would anything get him down again, for he had his leather pants! As he began to take them back to his room, to store in a safe place, he noticed something sticking out of one of the pockets. Behold! A piece of paper! Taylor unfolded it and began to read...

Slowly Tania found her way to the Hanson household, where she was welcomed warmly by Mrs. Hanson and Isaac, her own knight in shining armor. She explained her life-threatening situation to them both, how Amy and Lucy had been fighting, how she only wanted them to be friends, how they had started to get along and then explained to her that it was all HER fault that they hadn’t gotten along, and finally, how they had kicked her out of her own house. Isaac, after hearing this, ran to get his plastic sword. (He was a knight, but was not allowed to have a real sword until his 20th birthday. Sad, but true.) He told Tania that he would make Amy and Lucy let her back into her own house! He would be Tania’s knight in shining armor....even if he only had a plastic sword! Tania looked at him with wide eyes and asked if he would really do that for her, he answered that, yes, it was his duty as a knight to protect his fair maiden! Tania was now forever to live in bliss.

Oh no! How had they ended up in this horrid dungeon? All they had wanted was to find that mystical and mad Happy Weasel! Now they were stuck in the castle’s dungeon as trespassers. Zac and Jill had both tried to explain the situation to the guards, but, alas, it was of no use, they were not believed. What was to be their destiny? Would anyone ever find them? Oh, if only Laura Vanlandingham had not returned, they would not be in such a mess!

Amy and Lucy laughed as they watched Tania retreat from her own house! Oh, the power they beheld! Now, if only they really could convince Sir Clarke Isaac that he was going insane, for they knew exactly where his beloved guitar was. Oh yes, they knew. They knew everything. Everything....for it was all in their hands...

If you ever wish to see your brother Zac, your knight instructor Sir Alfredo Cheesier, or your brother Isaac’s guitar again, you must fight me in a dual, to death. The object in use: silly string. It will be held on the night of Monday, July 23rd at exactly 8:13 P.M. Be there, or you shall never see any of the above listed things again.

Signed,

*****

Taylor sat speechless as he read the letter. What was he to do? Would he be willing to give his life for his brother’s sanity? For his knight instructor? For Zac? Was it worth it? At this moment, he could tell no one of the letter he had just received. No one.
