Ultimateon

CHAPTER ONE
In tiny Shintoco Town, a Pokémon Mart is being raided by a familiar Team Rocket trio, all holding rocket launchers. "Alright clerk, hands to the sky!" shouted James. "W-Who are you guys?" asked the clerk as his hands shot into the air. "Allow us to introduce ourselves!" grinned Meowth. "Prepare for trouble!" "Make it double!" "To protect the world from devestation!" "To unite all peoples within our nation!" "To denounce the evils of truth and love!" "To extend our reach to the stars above!" "Jessie!" "James!" "Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!" "Surrender now, or prepare to fight!" "Meowth, that's right!" "W-What do you want?" asked the clerk. "We need the Evolution Stones of Fire!" demanded Jessie. "Water!" added James. "And Thunder!" grinned Meowth. "Okay, okay! Take them! Just don't hurt me!" the clerk cried. He took a leather bag and put Thunder, Fire, and Water Evolution Stones inside. He then threw it to Jessie. "Thanks! And while you're at it, throw in some sirloin steaks!" grinned James. The clerk nodded and threw some sirloin steaks in the bag. "Numbskull! We've got work to do!" yelled Jessie, hitting James on the head. "But why couldn't we have just gotten some Evolution Stones from the boss?" asked James, rubbing his head. "Since we failed at Gwenai Town, it would be embarrassing to ask the boss for something so soon." replied Jessie. "Oh, I forgot!" cried James. "Let's get going you two, before the police show up!" shouted Meowth. "No problem!" grinned Jessie. She threw a silver ball to the ground. The room filled with smoke. When it cleared, the three were gone.
* * *
Two blocks down from Team Rocket, Ash and Brock are walking around looking for a Pokémon Gym, while Misty is at a nearby Pokémon Center reviving her Pokémon. "Brock, are you sure that there is a Pokémon Gym near here?" asked Ash. "Of course! Unless this is Shintoco Town. I haven't studied Shintoco Town's Pokémon League branch." replied Brock. "AUGH! This IS Shintoco Town, Brock!" yelled Ash. "Oh." replied Brock. Ash's face turned red. "We've been wasting all this time looking for a Pokémon Gym and you're not even sure there is one here?! Why, I oughta..." "Hey, where's Pikachu?" asked Brock, not wanting to fight Ash. "He was following us a few seconds ago!" cried Ash, returning to normal. Ash then turned around, only to find Pikachu poking a Pokéball with excitement. "Is Pikachu envying the Pokéball?" asked Brock. "Of course not! Pikachu hates Pokéballs!" replied Ash. "Pika! Pika!" cried Pikachu. Pikachu pushed the small button on the Pokéball. A bright, red light shot out from it and formed into a Butterfree. "Chu!" shouted Pikachu. Ash didn't know why Pikachu was so excited until he noticed the familiar scarf on the Butterfree's neck. "BUTTERFREE!" shouted Ash. The Butterfree looked at Ash, confused. Finally, it recognized him and shot straight to him. "This is a really odd reunion! How did Butterfree get here, in a Pokéball?" asked Brock. "Free! Free!" cried Butterfree. "Chu! Pika! Pi!" cried Pikachu. "Pikachu says that Butterfree's mate got lost and Butterfree got captured while looking for her. His new trainer put Butterfree's Pokéball in the back of a wagon with many others and set off to sell them. When passing through Shintoco Town, the wagon hit a bump and Butterfree's Pokéball fell out. It's been five days since he lost his mate." translated Ash. "5 days!? A Butterfree can't last 5 whole days alone!" cried Brock. "We'll have to find his mate!" Before much more could be said, Ash noticed Team Rocket run out from a nearby Pokémon Mart. "But first, we have to catch Team Rocket. Just like old times, eh Butterfree?" grinned Ash, putting Butterfree back into its Pokéball.
CHAPTER TWO
Ash and Brock ran in front of Team Rocket to try to stop them, but ended up crashing into Team Rocket. Team Rocket, Brock, and Ash landed in a heap on the ground. "Hey, what's the big idea!" shouted Meowth. "Stop right there, Team Rocket!" Ash shouted. "Oh, okay, we'll stop! And while we're at it we'll turn ourselves in, give you our new Pokémon, and name my Arbok after you!" said Jessie sarcastically. "What? You mean you finally got a new Pokémon? IMPOSSIBLE!" yelled Brock. "You better believe it! Show them, Jessie!" yelled James. Jessie pulled a Pokéball out of her pocket and threw it to the ground. A red light formed into Eevee. Ash and Brock began to laugh. "Go ahead! Laugh! But you just wait until we're ready!" growled Meowth. "Hey!" yelled Brock. "Why does Jessie have a pocket?" Before anyone could answer, Team Rocket noticed Officer Jenny on a police motorcycle in the distance. "GOTTA RUN!" shouted Jessie, and Team Rocket ran away. "Stop, thieves!" shouted Jenny. "They're getting away!" yelled Ash. "Don't worry! They've never gotten away before!" Brock said. * * *
Team Rocket sat in an alley, each holding a different Evolution Stone. "Okay, we gotta do this carefully. We don't wanna touch it with one Stone before the others." said Meowth. "Jessie, let it out." said James. "Here goes!" yelled Jessie. Jessie dropped the Pokéball as lightly as possible so that nobody
could hear it. The Eevee emerged. "1." said James. "2." said Jessie. "3!" yelled Meowth. Team Rocket touched the Eevee with all three Stones at the exact same time. An extremely bright light lit the whole alley. Eevee's figure was becoming nearly 5 times the size of any evolution Eevee could become. When the light cleared, Team Rocket could only stare in awe at the behemoth.
CHAPTER THREE
The creature was gigantic, bigger than a Blastoise! It had Jolteon's spikes, Flareon's mane, and Vaporeon's color. But it went beyond Eevee evolutions! It also had Charizard's feet, Blastoise's cannons, and Zapdos' wings. "This is so amazing I could cry!" said Meowth. "So, this is a new Pokémon, right? That means we gotta name it!" grinned Jessie. "How about Jamesreon!" suggested James. Jessie hit him upside the head. "NO! It's gotta be original!" "Ultimateon!" screamed the titan. "Ultimateon!" yelled Meowth. * * *
Ash and Brock were telling everything to Misty. "We have to stop Team Rocket!" yelled Misty. "OK!" yelled Ash. "Butterfree, go!" "Free!" cried Butterfree, appearing in a red flash. Ash said something, but it was interuppted by voices. "Prepare for trouble!" "Make it double!" "We already did the motto in this story, you two! Cut the chatter and crack open the new Pokéball!" yelled Meowth. "Not until we finish!" shouted James. "Our fans will be angry if we stop!" "Fine, go ahead." muttered Meowth. "To protect the world from devestation!" "To unite all peoples within our nation!" "To denounce the evils of truth and love!" "To extend our reach to the stars above!" "Jessie!" "James!" "Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!" "Surrender now, or prepare to fight!" "OK, OK! Now that you've finished the motto, throw the Pokéball already!" growled Meowth. Jessie threw the Pokéball towards Ash. Ultimateon appeared in a red flash. It howled, and scared Butterfree and Pikachu. They ran behind Ash. "Ha ha! Now you little twerps will pay for making us look like losers!" laughed Meowth.
CHAPTER FOUR
"Cha!" screamed Pikachu. Ash had never seen him so scared in his life. "Let's see how good your Pikachu is against our Jamesreon!" grinned James. Jessie smacked him on the head. "Ultimateon, you numbskull! Now get it right!" yelled Jessie. "Pikachu, Thundershock now!" ordered Ash. "Pika!? Chu ka pi!" demanded Pikachu. "What? Of course I care about you!" said Ash. Pikachu turned his back to Ash. "Just one Thundershock, please?" Pikachu shrugged, and shakingly walked over to Ultimateon. "Ch-ch-chu!" said Pikachu. "Pi...PIKA!" Pikachu jumped into the air, shooting straight towards Ultimateon. Pikachu pumped as much electricity as he could hold into his cheeks and threw it all at Ultimateon. The Thundershock hit Ultimateon! It let out an earthshaking roar! It then began to glow. Then, it shot the same Thundershock back at Pikachu, 45 times stronger! "PIIIIIIKAAAAAAAAAA!" screamed Pikachu. Pikachu fell to the ground, toasted. "Bee free!" cried Butterfree. He sped straight over to Pikachu. He then picked Pikachu up and flew back to Ash. He gave Pikachu to Ash, and then flew back to Ultimateon. "Teon! Teon! Ult!" roared Ultimateon. "Free! Bee!" cried Butterfree. Butterfree was acting on his own accord, Ash wasn't quick enough to order the attacks. Butterfree Tackled Ultimateon's back, then flew over Ultimateon's head for a Stun Spore. That was a big mistake. Ultimateon turned its head up and bit down on Butterfree's left wing. Butterfree attempted to free itself in vain. "Hey, look! The Butterfree is trying to free itself!" grinned James. "Get it?" Jessie, James, and Meowth laughed. "Butterfree!" screamed Ash. "Free!" cried Butterfree in agony.
CHAPTER FIVE
Butterfree lay in Ultimateon's mouth. Pikachu was littered with electric burns. Ash's best Pokémon were crippled. "Ultimaa!" screamed Ultimateon. "F-free..." mumbled Butterfree. "Ash, Butterfree isn't gonna last much longer in Ultimateon's mouth." said Misty. "Better surrender, Ash." said Brock. Ash thought a moment. "Team Rocket, I-I admit defeat...I surrender." said Ash. "Well now, it looks like we beat you all the way for once!" said James. "We'll let your Butterfree go, for a small price." said Jessie. "What? What is it?" asked Ash. "Your Pikachu!" shouted Meowth in excitement. "What? You call that a small price?" "Well, your Pikachu IS small." grinned James. "Pika..." Pikachu said weakly. "No, Pikachu. I can't let them have you. We need to stick up for each other." said Ash. Pikachu winked. "You better be right about this or I may regret this for the rest of my life." said Ash. "Team Rocket, Pikachu is yours." Everyone except Ash and Pikachu gasped. "You mean we won? You're not going to put up a fight?" asked Jessie. "Nope." "No hopeless attacks? No outsmarting moves?" asked James. "No." "Well, that's good enough for us! Ultimateon! Drop that worthless Pokémon and grab that Pikachu!" ordered Jessie. Ultimateon dropped Butterfree and picked up Pikachu carefully. "Well, at least it is kind to OUR Pokémon." said Meowth. "Hey!" said James. "Because Ultimateon is such a strong Pokémon, why does it still obey us?" "I never thought of that." said Jessie. "Maybe this is just the weak form of Ultimateon!" shouted Meowth. "But if it is a weak version, what do you think will happen when we train it some more?" James' eyes turned into Ultimateon heads. "We'll have a super-cool Pokémon AND Pikachu!" said Jessie. Team Rocket laughed while Ash and company gasped in horror.
CHAPTER SIX
Unrealistically true to their word, Team Rocket gave Butterfree back to Ash and took Pikachu as their own. Ash could do nothing but hope Pikachu knew what he was doing. "Ash," said Misty, "I think we should go now." "What? How can you say that after what just happened?!" screamed Ash. "Calm down, Ash." said Brock. "It's kinda like that old phrase: 'Those who fight and run away live to fight another day!'" "So you are saying, if I look as if I am giving up now, they won't expect me to challenge them later?" "Exactly!" "Ash, since when have we given up this easily?" said Misty smiling. Ash smiled as well. "Let's go! Maybe we can find out how to beat that Ultimateon back in town!" announced Ash.
* * *
Ash, Misty, and Brock were soon at the Pokémon Center. "Hey, when it all comes down to it, it's Brock's fault that I lost Pikachu!" shouted Ash. "What? My fault?" yelled Brock. "Yeah! If you had known this town had no Pokémon Gym we wouldn't have stayed long enough for Team Rocket to challenge us!" "GUYS, GUYS!" shouted Misty. "Break it up! Team Rocket would have probably found us and challenged us anyways! So just calm down and think of something we could use to our advantage, against that...that thing!" Once Misty was finished talking, Ash overheard somebody else talking about Pokémon. "But I need your Pokémon for my experiment!" said a guy in a white coat. "But I like my Charmeleon just the way it is!" said a guy holding a Charmeleon. "I must have him! I need him for my experiment on Pokémon de-evolution!" "Well, go find something else to 'de-evolve.' Charmeleon and I have places to go." the guy holding the Charmeleon said, leaving the Pokémon Center. "That's it!" shouted Ash. "What?" asked Brock. "C'mon! I'll show you!" Ash walked to the guy in the white coat. "Hi, I'm Ash Ketchum of the town of Pallet! I heard you're studying
Pokemon deevolution." "I am Docter Newman. If you are not going to donate a Pokemon for my experement I suggest you leave." said the guy in the white coat.
"Um, actually I need YOUR help." said Ash. "Hmmm, follow me. You can tell me in my laboratory." said Dr. Newman.
* * *
"You see young man... I have been researching on how evolution
stones can evolve Pokemon, and I have been trying to make a deevolution stone that can devolve Pokemon." said Dr. Newman. "How do you do that?" asked Misty.
"You see... If you reverse the polarity of the C2 in the evolution stone, the power can actually replicate the toxins generated by the little symbol shown in the stone's center and create an evolution stone with it's energies placed backwards." explained Dr. Newman. "Uh, can you repeat that in English?" asked Ash. "Oh, that's right you're just a child... Well to put it in your words, I simply make a backwards evolution stone. But I have yet to test it. For all I know the deevolution stone could just turn a Pokemon into a pile of slime." "Why slime?" asked Brock. "It is a theory that life began as slime. But enough talk about that. What was it that you needed help in Mr. Ketchup?" "Uh, that's KETCHUM. Well there is this huge vicious Pokemon that Team Rocket was able to evolve from an Eevee by using all three evolution stones at once. And we need to defeat it, FAST!" "Hmmm, it may be possible to devolve it back into an Eevee. But first I must test my stone on one of your Pokemon." Ash started to think... While Ash was thinking Butterfree remembered the conversation he had with Pikachu when he was a Caterpie. Butterfree zipped over to Dr. Newman.
"Beefree!" said Butterfree. "Butterfree? You're voulontering?" asked Ash.
"Free..." said Butterfree. "Excellent... Now could you sit on this table here Mr. Butterfly?" asked Dr. Newman. Butterfree flew over the table and landed. "Now, this won't hurt a bit... And this may seem a little different than when you evolved..." Dr. Newman touched Butterfree with a black evolution stone with
a beatle symbol in the middle. The room filled itself with a dark purple light... When the purple light disappeared Ash gasped at what he saw.
CHAPTER SEVEN
"Metapod..." said the Metapod which now sits where Butterfree once
did. "You did it!" cried Ash. "Now we stand a chance against Ultimateon!" said Brock. "Oh don't be so sure about that young man. How do you think there is a stone to treat all three evolutions?" said Doctor Newman. "Um, what?" asked Misty. "An evolution stone is created by crushing at least two tons of ether together. The recipe for each type created is unknown as of yet." "Wait, I thought that evolution stones came from a big meteor that hit long ago." said Brock. "That's just a myth, only the moonstones are from a meteor. Anyway, there is no known stone that can evolve three completely different Pokemon types. The bug stone is just a subjuct of reversing the water stones microbes... Am I boring you guys?" "Uh, no, I'm still listening." said Ash. "Sort of." "Oh good. Anyway, I can make evolution stones for only ONE type
of Pokemon." "Oh great, now what do we do?" asked Misty. "Well, Team Rocket touched the Eevee with all three evolution stones. If we touch Ultimateon with all three he might reversa-whatyoumacallit back into Eevee!" said Ash. "Brilliant!" said Dr. Newman. "Yeah, one of Ash's weak suits..." said Misty. "Metapod! Meta!" said Metapod. "Oh yeah, uh, Dr. Newman... Could you turn Metapod back into Butterfree?" asked Ash. "Of course!" Dr. Newman took an evolution stone from a cabinet. It had a beatle symbol in the middle. "Alright Metapod... This will be exactly like the day you evolved, only it will be inside a building..." Dr. Newman touched Metapod with the evolution stone, and soon Metapod was Butterfree again. Butterfree then flew around the room. "Freeee!" said Butterfree. "Uh, could you translate, what he just said, for me Ash?" asked Dr. Newman. "He said it felt good to fly again." said Ash. "Hey Doctor, I have a plan." said Brock. "It is only a theory, but...maybe if we touch Ultimateon with one stone, he'll change into a mix of the other two!" "You mean, devolve his evolutions one at a time?" asked Ash. "Yeah." "Another brilliant suggestion! You all should have been scientists!" said Dr. Newman. "Am I the only one here not getting any of this?" asked Misty. "Yes." said Ash.
* * *
"Okay, little Pikachu... Let's see how good you realy are..." said Jessie. Pikachu was standing in front of Ultimateon partly exhausted. "Ultimateon go easy on Pikachu, he is OUR Pokemon. But don't do to bad." said James. "Alright! Let the Rocket tournament begin!" cried Meowth. Pikachu walked shakingly towards Ultimateon. Ultimateon stomped over to Pikachu nearly squishing him. Pikachu and Ultimateon began to battle. "Ultimateon! Uh, Thundershock!" ordered James. Jessie smacked James upside the head. "Bad move you numbskull!" said Jessie. "Ultimateon is three Pokemon in one! Combine the moves! Fireshock for example." "Umm, oh I got a good one... Ultimateon! Thunder spin!" ordered James. Ultimateon spewed out a string of lightening from it's mouth and ended up making it a tornado of electricity. "Pikaa!" screamed Pikachu. Pikachu dodged the attack by two inches. "Chu!" "Pikachu! Thundershock!" ordered Jessie. Pikachu ran behind a rock and grasped his head. "Pathetic! Just plain pathetic!" grumbled Meowth. "How are we supposed to train Ultimateon if our Pokemon won't fight it." complained Jessie. "Arbok and Weezing fought him..." said James. James pointed at the corner which Arbok and Weezing were laying on the ground all bandaged up.
* * *
Ash, Misty, Brock, and Butterfree are hiding behind four trees and are watching Team Rocket. "Agh! How could they do that to Pikachu?" grimaced Ash. "If I ever get my hands on them, nobody would be able to tell the difference
between them and a Ditto!" Misty stopped Ash from jumping at Team Rocket. "Hey chill!" said Misty. "What are you trying to do?" asked Brock. "Let them discover
us?" "Free..." said Butterfree, as he was carrying three deevolution
stones. "Why don't we jump them now?" asked Ash. "We have to wait for the perfect moment. And here it comes." said Brock. "NOW!" screamed Misty. Misty and Brock tackled Team Rocket while Ash took Pikachu and ran into the woods. Butterfree zoomed as fast as he could at Ultimateon carrying the deevolution stones in front of him. Ultimateon turned his head and gasped as Butterfree rammed into him. A bright purple light filled the area...
CHAPTER EIGHT
As the purple light cleared, Ultimateon was still there! Ash and the gang couldn't beleive the de-evolution stones didn't work. "Pika pikaa!" said Pikachu. "Free!" said Butterfree. "That's impossible!" shouted Brock. "It worked fine on Butterfree." "Hahahaha!" laughed James. "Ultimateon is invincible! Nothing can stop him!!!" "Ultimateon! Fire gun the Butterfree NOW!" ordered Jessie. "Ooo, good combination of attacks Jessie..." complimented James. Ultimateon let out a deafening roar and pointed his Blastoise cannons at Butterfree. "Free?" said Butterfree, too scared to move. Ultimateon shot a burst of fire from his cannons, yet Butterfree was able to dodge at the last second. "Everyone RUN!" screamed Ash. Everyone made a break into every
direction. "Hey... Where'd they go?" asked Meowth.
* * *
"I don't understand this..." said Dr. Newman. "The stones should
have worked perfectly! This can't be!" "Was there anything wrong with the stones?" asked Misty. "No. I tested them before you left. There is something we've missed. Something important." Everyone thought hard. "Agh! I forgot!!" shouted Ash. "What? Do you remember something important?" asked Dr. Newman. "No... I forgot Pikachu and left him with Team Rocket!!!" "Now THAT'S a problem." commented Brock. "Hmmm, I may have a solution..." said Dr. Newman. "If we can't devolve the creature directly, you could try weakening it first..." "Augh! My best Pokemon barely scratched it!!" argued Ash. "How do you expect me to weaken it with any my other Pokemon? All he'll do is..." Ash paused mid-sentence. "What is it Ash?" asked Misty. "I've got it!! I know Ultimateons weakness!" announced Ash. "Will it involve my de-evolution stones?" asked Dr. Newman. "Yes. But can you meld all three stones into one?" asked Ash.
"Maybe. It will take a while." "Good. Guys, come here I'll tell you the plan." said Ash. Ash, Misty, Brock, and Butterfree huddled up and began to
whisper.
* * *
"What a moron..." said James. "He didn't even remember to take
his Pikachu with him!" Team Rocket laughed. "Pika pi..." said Pikachu. Translated as: "Why Ash?" Suddenly an old lady wearing a flowing dress (As if she's some kind of widow.) walked over to Team Rocket. "One should always be aware." the Old lady said. "For even those who are at the top can be easily defeated. For if one of any element gains or loses power over the others... Chaos erupts. And defeat soon occurs..." Jessie and James looked at the lady as if she had six heads. "Uh, our Pokemon is too strong to be beaten by.. uh, that." said James. "Perhaps. But don't say I didn't warn you." said the old lady. Team Rocket didn't know what all that was about. But with this being their first victory, they had a feeling that the old lady's words would probably make their defeat.
CHAPTER NINE
Jessie and James were preparing Ultimateon to mug a town of it's Pokemon. "James." said Jessie. "I have a feeling we're being watched." "Oh no. Maybe the boss found out about Ultimateon and will try to take it away from us! And is watching us right now!" panicked James. "Ha! Now that we have Ultimateon we don't have to worry about the boss" said Meowth. "We could take over Team Rocket with this baby!" "Yeah that's right! The boss has treated us like dirt for to long! Let's show HIM who's boss!" said James. Team Rocket laughed. What they didn't realize was that Ash and Butterfree were watching Team Rocket from behind a nearby rock. "Alright, Butterfree." said Ash. "You know the plan. You go on my signal!" "Beefree." said Butterfree. Pikachu's ears twitched. He sensed something was gonna happen but he didn't know what. "Pika? kachu!" screamed Pikachu. "What?" asked Jessie. "Chu!" "Let me handle this." said Meowth. "Pika pika!" said Pikachu. "What's he saying?" asked James. "He said he hears something..." said Meowth. "I knew it!" said Jessie. "I'll bet the boss is behind that rock over there!!!" Ash and Butterfree gulped and hoped Jessie wasn't thinking about the rock they were behind. "Butterfree. Get to the top of that tree there." said Ash. "And try not to get seen." "Free." said Butterfree. Butterfree flew toward the tree Ash pointed to. He used his tackle attack in the same direction to go faster. When Butterfree got on the branch he looked at what Team Rocket was doing. They were heading straight towards Ash. Suddenly Pikachu saw Butterfree perched on the tree branch. Butterfree signaled Pikachu to stop Team Rocket before they found Ash. "Pika!" screamed Pikachu. "Chu chu Pi!" Team Rocket stopped and turned around. "Pikachu says what he heard is in the bushes over there." said Meowth. Team Rocket ran to the bushes farthest from the rock. James moved the bushes out of the way and saw a Rattata scamper away. "It's just a Rattata," assured James. "Oh well, let's get back to Ultimateon." said Jessie. "That was a close call." thought Ash. After twenty grueling minutes that felt like days, Ash found the oportunity to strike. He signaled Butterfree. Butterfree signaled Misty who was in an abandoned shed nearby. Misty took out a mirror and used it to signal Brock, who was hiding in some bushes. "Okay, here it is..." said Brock. "You ready?" asked Dr. Newman, who was standing next to Brock. "Ready as ever." Brock ran to a rock as close to Ash as he could. "Brock. Do you have the de-evolution stones?" asked Ash. "Yes. Misty has her Pokemon ready too." said Brock. "Good. Ultimateon fell asleep when Team Rocket did their motto again. This will probably be our only chance." Misty moved to a rock as far from Ash and Brock as she could move to. Misty let Horsea out of her Pokeball. "Horsea, this will be dangerous." said Misty. "I need you to go hide somewhere until we're done." "Sea..." said Horsea. Horsea hopped into the bushes, poking his eyes out to watch. "Alright Ash..." thought Misty. "Give me the signal, I'm ready." Suddenly Ash threw a small rock and it landed next to Misty. "Yes..." said Misty. Misty jumped from the rock and threw out every Pokeball she had. "Starmie, Staryu, Goldeen, Psyduck..." shouted Misty. "Attack Ultimateon!" Goldeen started flopping around doing nothing, Staryu and Starmie spun over to Ultimateon, and Psyduck waddled into Ultimateons direction but he fell down after four steps. "Well, two out of four ain't bad." muttered Misty. Misty recalled Goldeen and Psyduck. Ultimateon woke up at the point Staryu smacked him in the face. "TEEEEEEON!" roared Ultimateon. "Squirtle! I choose you!" said Ash, as he threw Squirtles Pokeball. At the moment Squirtle sprouted from his Pokeball he knew what to do. "Starmie! Staryu!" shouted Misty. "Hose him down with all the water based attacks you can remember!" "Squirtle!" shouted Ash. "Uh, do the same thing!" Ultimateon stood on all four legs and smacked Starmie and Staryu to the side like they were flies. Squirtle ran in between all of Ultimateons legs and used Water Gun on his stomach. Ultimateon started to chuckle because the water tickled his stomach. Then he came back to his senses and sat on Squirtle. "Aug! Squirtle!" screamed Ash. Starmie shot straight at Ultimateons forehead and knocked him
down completely. When Ultimateon weakly got up, Ash noticed that he was getting tired. "Starmie! Staryu! Finsh the job now!" ordered Misty. Before anything could be done. Ultimateon jumped straight to Pikachu. He picked Pikachu up and held his razor sharp Charizard talons at Pikachu's neck. "Pikachu!" shouted Ash. "Ash will you stop screaming your Pokemon's names and DO something?" said Brock. "Alright! Go! Ultimateon!" cheered Team Rocket.
CHAPTER TEN
Pikachu was scared to death within Ultimateon's strong red hands. Ultimateon wasn't bluffing. He'd do it if he wanted to. "Ultimateon! Let Pikachu go NOW!" shouted Ash. "Or - or else!" Ultimateon couldn't understand what Ash was saying, so he continued to hold his talons around Pikachu's neck. Butterfree was still perched on the tree. He had to do something. He focused onto the back of Ultimateons neck and charged at full speed. Butterfree hit Ultimateon so hard, he dropped Pikachu and struggled to get Butterfree off his back. Butterfree leaped off and hovered in the sky thinking that Ultimateon couldn't reach him from there. But he was wrong. "Ultima! Ultima!" shouted Ultimateon. Ultimateon began to spread out his Zapdos wings and flew straight to Butterfree. Butterfree knew he would have to finish this battle. Butterfree tackled into Ultimateons stomach, but it didn't even phase him. Ultimateon grabbed Butterfree and threw him down against the ground. Butterfree shot right back up and began to pull up Ultimateons ears from the back of his head. "Brock! Now's your chance!" shouted Ash. Brock put the three de-evolution stones into a sling and swung it around in a circle for a few seconds, then he let the stones fly towards Ultimateon... With Butterfree right on top of him.
A bright purple light filled the sky... it lasted nearly fifteen seconds before the sky cleared. In Ultimateons place was a blob of slime, the slime came pouring to the ground. Butterfree was nowhere to be found... "NO!" screamed Ash. "Brock you dumb idiot! You killed Butterfree!" "What!? You told me to throw them!" defended Brock. Before anything else could be said Ash heard something moving in the slime.. "Aw man! It's still there!" said Misty. Squirtle, Staryu, and Starmie jumped in front of Ash and the gang prepared to fight. But then the creature moved out of the slime and rubbed some off. It was Butterfree! "Butterfree!" cried Ash with glee. "You're alive!" Ash ran to
hug Butterfree, but jumped back quickly when some slime got on him. "Bee Free!" said Butterfree. The slime felt wierd against his wings so he moved them around a lot. Ash noticed something else in the slime puddle. It seemed smaller than Butterfree. Yet slightly bigger than Pikachu. When it jumped out of the slime, Ash realized it was an Eevee. "Oh yes of course!" blurted Dr. Newman, butting into the sentimental moment. "When the stones hit Ultimateon he was devolving
into the start of evolution! But that Eevee is as devolved as he can get.
That means..." Dr. Newman paused. "It means what?" asked Misty. "I have no idea. The Eevee should have turned into slime as well. Perhaps I had better research into this more..." Dr. Newman walked back to his lab. "Wait! I forgot about Pikachu again!" shouted Ash. Ash looked around and saw Pikachu, all bruised, next to a rock. He was out cold. Ash ran over to him and picked him up.
"Pikachu! Speak to me! Are you all right?" Suddenly Pikachu twitched his ears and woke up. "Pi?" asked Pikachu. Pikachu took one look at Ash and turned his
head in disgust. "Hey what's the matter?" "Pika pi. Chu pika! Pikachu!" "What? 'First the Pokeballs and now this?' What are you talking about?" "Chu chu chu!"
Ash and Pikachu continued to fight. "Hey, whatever happened to Team Rocket" asked Misty. "I dunno..." said Brock.
CHAPTER ELEVEN
During the battle with Ultimateon, Team Rocket crept away to avoid being entirely defeated, and are now escaping through the bushes. "Jessie, I don't like this!" said James. "What if Ultimateon actually won the battle? Won't he think we abandoned him?" "We DID abandon him moron!" shouted Jessie. "Those brats always win! Even against impossible odds!" "Well, you two can argue all you want... I still say that Ultimateon won." said Meowth. "He was weakened when we escaped... What makes you think we won?"asked James. "Meeoowth... He's just plain powerful! He even took out Pikachu like THAT!" Meowth snapped his right paw. What Team Rocket didn't realize is that they were about walk straight into a big hole that they had put in the ground far before
they made Ultimateon.
* * *
"Ash, how did Ultimateon get devolved by the de-evolution stones?" asked Misty. "I thought he was immune to them..." "Well... Before we went to Shintoco town," said Ash. "I met this wierd looking old lady. She told me this strange riddle... She said 'One should always be aware. For even those who are at the top can be easily defeated. For if one of any element gains or loses power over the others...Chaos erupts. And defeat soon occurs...' I remembered
the battle with Pikachu when Dr. Newman suggested weakening Ultimateon. When Pikachu thundershocked Ultimateon, he absorbed the attack and shot a stronger one back at Pikachu. He gained power from electricity! Then I counted that we had more Water Pokemon than Electric or Fire. We simply had to feed him more water than the rest! He absorbed the water but didn't have time to shoot it back at our Pokemon! And he was becoming weak because of that!" Ash smiled like he was cool. "Oh great..." said Misty. "Now we have ANOTHER scientist..." Ash picked up Pikachu and put Squirtle in his Pokeball. But he couldn't find Butterfree anywhere... "Butterfree? Hey Where'd Butterfree go???" asked Ash.
"He's over there getting yelled at by that fat guy!" said Brock. "YOU SEE THESE POKEBALLS?" screamed a fat guy at Butterfree. "THEY'RE ALL COVERED IN THIS SLIMEY JUNK! WHERE'S YOUR TRAINER!? HE'S GONNA PAY FOR THIS!" Ash ran over. "Hey! What are you doing to my Butterfree?!" shouted Ash. "IS THIS YOURS?" asked the fat guy. "Uh, sorta." said Ash shakingly. "HE COVERED ALL MY POKEBALLS IN THIS SLIME! NOW THEY'RE ALL RUINED!" He pointed to a wagon filled with Pokeballs covered in the slime that was Ultimateon. "Uh, sorry sir. It's my fault..." "YEAH, YOU'RE GONNA BE SORRY! IT'LL COST ME NEARLY $50 TO FIX MY WAGON!" "FIFTY? Aug!" As Ash was scrounging through his pockets, a chunk of slime on the roof of the wagon slipped off and hit a Pokeball. The Pokeball
fell to the ground and opened up. Butterfree focused his eyes on the Pokemon that sprouted from the Pokeball. Suddenly Butterfree shot straight to the Pokemon that came out in excitement. Ash handed $50 to the fat and walked over to Butterfree. "Butterfree..." said Ash. "It's time to..." Ash stopped
mid-sentence when he saw Butterfree embracing a pink Butterfree beside the wagon. "What the heck?" "It looks like Butterfree found his mate." said Brock.
"Oh how cute." said Misty. "Free!" said Butterfree. "Free!" said the pink Butterfree. "Uh, Butterfree... Does this mean you're leaving again?" asked Ash.
Butterfree floated to Ash. They both had a big lump in their throats. "Bee, bee." said Butterfree. "Well..." Ash started to get tears in his eyes. "At least we've seen each other one last time." Butterfree started to tear as well. "Free..." After a long pause, Butterfree took off to the southeast with his mate and once again made the journey across the ocean. "HEY KID!" shouted the fat guy. "I WORKED HARD TO GET THAT BUTTERFREE! AND YOU MADE IT RUN AWAY! YOU EITHER PAY THE $200 IT COSTS OR I CALL THE POLICE!" "$200?! Aw, friends are expensive!" said Ash. Ash and the gang were so caught up in the Butterfree matter, that they left behind the young Eevee by the unusually large puddle of slime. But then suddenly, the old lady began to walk by. She noticed the Eevee and chuckled, in a manly voice! She took the hood off her head...It wasn't an old lady at all! It was Rob Burhman of Gwenai Town! He picked up his Eevee and walked back to his hometown. * * *
"Uh, help!" shouted James. "Can somebody help us! We fell in a hole
that we left for someone else!" "Oh, being trapped in a hole with you two is VERY embarassing!" said Meowth. "Oh quit complaning!" said Jessie. "We're gonna be here a while!" Suddenly a roaring sound came from above. "It's Ultimateon!" cried Meowth. "We're saved!" said James. All three stood up and looked through the opening at the top of the hole. Suddenly a big rock collapsed against the hole, trapping Team Rocket in there. For three weeks. Heh heh. * * *
Ash, Misty, Brock, and Pikachu passed right by a big rock dug halfway into the ground, not realizing that Team Rocket was trapped within. "Pika!" screamed Pikachu at Ash. "I have no idea what you're talking about, Pikachu!" said Ash. "I don't know anything about that!" "What'd he say?" asked Misty.
"He keeps talking about 'Pokeballs at the Pokemon Stadium.' Do you know what he's talking about?" "Uh, I do." said Brock. "Pikachu told me that the day we went to the Stadium and Rob, erm, expired, he brought your Pokeballs from the center to our room, and you didn't even realize it." "Chu..." said Pikachu, turning his head. "Oh, uh sorry Pikachu... I didn't know..." said Ash. Ash didn't realize that that comment made Pikachu even angrier. So Pikachu electricuted Ash. At least the long hard battle with Ultimateon is finally over.
