CHAPTER ONE
We join Ash, Misty, Pikachu, and Brock on an unknown trail where they have become lost once again. "Gee, I sure hope we don't fall into a big hole again." said Brock. "Yeah." said Ash. "Every time we get lost we end up falling into hole, after hole, after hole!" "Hey!" shouted Misty. "There's a small house over there! Maybe they can give us directions!" "PIKA!" shouted Pikachu. "Pika pika!" They all picked up speed and ran to the house. When they got there,
Ash knocked on the door. "Hello? Anybody home? We need directions to the nearest city!" There was no answer. "Hey! C'mon! Open up!" Still no answer from the house. "I don't think anybody is home, Ash." said Misty. "Well, how are we gonna get into the Pokémon League getting lost all the time?" asked Ash, slightly frustrated. "Pika, chu. Kachu." said Pikachu. "Wait, you guys!" blurted Brock. "Look! There is a sign over here! It looks like it is about the house!" Ash and Misty jumped over, followed by Pikachu. "Pika!!!!" screamed Pikachu. The three Pokémon trainers and Pikachu stare at the sign in confusion. It read: House abandoned due to Nidoran problem. If you can read this and don't know about the Nidoran problem, TAKE COVER! YOUR LIFE IS IN DANGER! The sign was broken off from there. "Well, if the house is abandoned, I guess no one would mind if we use it." stated Ash. "But the door is locked." pointed out Brock. "No matter, I can get it loose easily. SQUIRTLE! GO!" cried Ash. He threw a Pokéball to the ground and out came Squirtle. "SQUIRTLE! Squirtle squirtle!" yelled Squirtle. "Squirtle! Water Gun! Right at that door!" commanded Ash. "Squirtle!" cried Squirtle. He then opened his mouth and fired water at the front door until he was exhausted. "*Gasp* Squirtle!" moaned Squirtle. The front door now lay on the ground. "Squirtle! Return!" commanded Ash. Squirtle jumped toward Ash's Pokéball and with a red glow, Squirtle disappeared into the Pokéball. "Well, we should stay here for the night." said Brock. "But wait! What about the Nidorans?" cried Misty. "Oh, come on, Misty! I doubt a few Nidorans can take Pikachu out!" bragged Ash. "CHUU!!" yelled Pikachu. "Pi, kachu." "Well, I guess we can stay a while...but not too long!" shouted Misty. Everyone walked into the abandoned house. "Hey, is anyone hungry?" asked Brock, as he opened the fridge door. Inside were two Male Nidorans fighting over a piece of cheese. Brock quickly closed the door. "Hey, what's wrong Brock?" asked Ash. "You look as if you just saw two Male Nidorans fighting over a piece a cheese." "What? Me? Don't be silly! Now did anyone bring some food?" "I sure don't have anything." said Misty. "Neither do I. Brock, are you sure there is nothing in that refridgerator?" asked Ash. "Uh, of course there isn't. The Nidorans have eaten it all!" complained Brock. "Pikachu?" asked Pikachu. "Brock, let me see what's in the fridge." said Ash firmly. "OK." Brock opened the fridge door. Ash saw the two Male Nidorans fighting over the cheese. "Are these Nidorans? They seem awfully small." commented Ash. Ash pulled out Dexter and pointed it toward the two Nidorans. "Nidoran. A mouse Pokémon. It prefers tall grass and is the only Pokémon that has different-looking males and females among themselves." said Dexter. Suddenly, the two Nidorans became very agitated. "Nidoran!" said the one on the left. "Nidor! Doran!" said the one on the right. "Uh, I think they're angry..." said Misty in a scared voice. "Well then, we may need them with us!" cried Ash. "Pikachu! Get those Nidorans!" "PIKA!" cried Pikachu. He then did a series of electric shocks that made the left Nidoran unconscious. The right one scampered away, badly fried. "Well, one is enough, I guess." sighed Ash. He dropped a Pokéball onto the unconscious Nidoran, and it was caught. Suddenly, it disappeared. "What? What happened?" cried Ash. "Remember Ash? You can only carry six Pokémon at a time!" said Misty. "The rest go to Professor Oak!" "Oh yeah..." sighed Ash. "Any food left in the fridge?" Brock looked inside it.
"Nope, unless you want chewed cheese." said Brock, looking around. "Pika, chuuuu..." moaned Pikachu, holding his stomach at the same time. "Hey, maybe there's some trees around here that we can pick fruit from!" suggested Brock. "Or, we could check the rest of the house for food." piped in Misty. Ash, Misty, and Brock opened up all the cabinets and drawers. Unfortunatly, there was a Nidoran in almost all of them. All the Nidorans hissed at Ash and his friends. "I'll put a stop to them!" cried Brock. "GEODUDE! GO!" He threw a Pokéball to the ground and out came Geodude. "Geodude." said Geodude. "Geo." "Geodude, use Rock Throw on those Nidorans!" commanded Brock. "Geodude!" Geodude burrowed a hole into the house and came back up with a handful of boulders. "Geo!" Geodude threw every boulder in his arsenal, but only managed to knock out a few. "Ha!" laughed Ash. "Now watch a pro! PIDGEOTTO! GO!" He threw a Pokéball to the ground and Pidgeotto sprouted from it. "TTO!" cried Pidgeotto. "Pidgeotto! Use Gust to blow away all the Nidorans!" commanded Ash. "GEOTTO!" Pidgeotto flapped his wings at an angle causing a large gust of wind that blew all the Nidorans out the window. "Pidgeotto, return!" commanded Ash. "Geodude, return!" commanded Brock. "Well Brock, it looks like Geodude isn't that tough after all!" grinned Misty. "No time for that now. Those Nidorans seemed smaller than Dexter says. Maybe we should find out why they have chosen to leave their natural habitat and salvage people's houses." suggested Ash. "Pika!" cried Pikachu.
CHAPTER TWO
Ash, Misty, Pikachu, and Brock left the house, and are walking down a path. And once again, they are lost. "Oh jeez. We have wandered for about an hour now, and we have found nothing new!" complained Misty. "Oh, quit your complaining, Misty. This path may lead us somewhere for once." said Brock, agitated. "Chu..." moaned Pikachu. Suddenly, Ash heard a snap in the distance. "Huh? What was that?" asked Ash. "What was what?" asked Misty. "Didn't you hear something? I could have sworn I did!" said Ash, looking around. All of a sudden, a pack of wild Nidorans got the jump on Brock, and knocked him to the ground. "Ow! Hey! That's not fair!" cried Brock. "Oh, not again! Pikachu, I choose..." Ash paused, as Pikachu refused to fight the pack of Nidorans. "But Pikachu..." "Pika! Ikachu! Pik! Chu! Pikachu!" explained Pikachu. "What? You're gonna negotiate with them?" "Pika!" "Alright. But I'll have Bulbasaur back you up if you fail." "Pika, pikachu!" cried Pikachu. He scampered over to the pack and began to speak with them. After twenty seconds of unclear conversation, Pikachu hopped over to Ash. "Pikachu!" cried Pikachu, in excitement. "Pika! Kachu Pik! Pika Kachu! Chu!" "What is he saying this time, Ash?" asked Misty. "He got the Nidorans to forgive our barbaric ways." translated Ash. "BARBARIC!? Why, if I could get my hands on those squirmy little rodents, I would..." yelled Misty. "Calm down, Misty. It's probably just a little cultural misunderstanding." suggested Brock, holding her back. Ash approached the pack of Nidorans with Pikachu. But before a word could be said, a voice stood outward. "Prepare for trouble!" "Make it double!" "To protect the world from devestation!" "To unite all peoples within our nation!" "To denounce the evils of truth and love!" "To extend our reach to the stars above!" "Jessie!" "James!" "Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!" "Surrender now or prepare to fight!" "Meowth! That's right!" Team Rocket came hurling down in a complete duplication of the helicopter they used during the Butterfree mating season. Only this time, the net was designed to catch Normal Pokémon instead. "Meowth! It's those 3 kids and that Pikachu again!" screamed Meowth. "Isn't it strange that they are always around when we are?" asked Jessie. "I don't really care, let's just get those Nidorans!" cried James. "Ash, it's Team Rocket!" yelled Brock. "Oh great! I knew they were somehow involved." moaned Ash. The Nidorans were frightened by the helicopter and ran off in different directions. "Why does Team Rocket always mess everything up?" asked Misty angrily. The helicopter swooped down with the net hugging the ground. Unfortunatly for them, the Nidorans are now out of sight. "Dang! The engine scared those rodents away!" cried James. "We gotta buy a muffler!" said Meowth. The helicopter took off but stopped in mid air. "What happened up there?" asked Ash. "How should I know?" yelled Misty. "Ash, maybe you should speak to the Nidoran you caught! It may know!" suggested Brock. "Hey! You're right!" said Ash. "NIDORAN! GO!" Ash threw the Pokéball to the ground and up sprouted the Nidoran. But unexpectantly,
the Nidoran turned to Ash and jumped at his face! "Hey! Get off! I am your new trainer! You have to be loyal!" The Nidoran ignored Ash. "Pika!" cried Pikachu. "Pika CHUUUUUU!" Electricity left Pikachu's body and hit the Nidoran. Ash and
the Nidoran lay there pitch black from the shock. "WATCH WHERE YOU'RE SHOOTING, PIKACHU!!" screamed Ash. Pikachu just chuckled. "Now ask this Nidoran the same thing you asked the pack that just scattered." Pikachu hopped over to the burned Nidoran and began a conversation of their own language. After thirty seconds, Pikachu walked over to Ash. "Pika! Pika! Chu!" said Pikachu. "Pikachu says that recently people with the letter R marked on their tunics have been driving them out of their natural habitat of tall grass with insecticide. They might have thought all humans meant them harm!" cried Ash. "And Team Rocket must have drove them out into the open to catch them!" cried Brock. "For the zillionth time, we gotta stop 'em!" yelled Ash. "I'll get Starmie to stop 'em!" cried Misty. "STARMIE! GO!" Misty threw the Pokéball to the ground and Starmie appeared. "Starmie, see if you can take down that helicopter up there!" Starmie hummed, and spun up to the helicopter. "James! Look!" yelled Jessie. "It's that Starmie again!" "Hah! I hatched a plan in case we encountered it again." laughed James. "KOFFING! GO GET'M!" James threw the Pokéball into the air, and it hatched into Koffing. "Koffing!" cried Koffing. "Koffing! Sludge attack!" yelled James. "KOFFING!" shouted Koffing. Starmie dodged all of Koffing's attacks and tackled the windshield of the helicopter. "Ack! Koffing, Self-Destruct!" commanded James. A bright light started to ignite from Koffing and hit Starmie right in the crystal. Starmie fell, twirling to the ground. Koffing returned to James' Pokéball. "Good work, Koffing!" grinned James. "Yeah, but WE gotta get to work now!" yelled Meowth. "Does anyone see the Nidorans?" "Over there!" blurted Jessie. "Next to that boulder!" "Hey, those little twerps over there might warn them!" yelped Meowth. "Let's take care of them first!" "Yes, of course! How did I miss that?" said Jessie sarcastically. "Starmie!" cried Misty. "Oh man! Brock! Pass me a Super Potion! Quick!" Brock opened his backpack and took out a spray bottle. He passed it to Misty, who sprayed Starmie with it. Starmie made a humming noise and got back up again. "You feeling okay, Starmie?" asked Misty. Starmie hummed a little and shot right back up to the helicopter. "Gee, you'd think they have had enough!" growled James. "Fly the helicopter at 'em! We can't let them spoil our plans again!" cried Meowth. Starmie rammed the bottom of the helicopter, but got stuck in the act. The helicopter cornered Ash, Misty, and Brock to an impassable boulder. The helicopter picked up speed, hurling toward the three Pokémon trainers. "Hey! Where's Pikachu?" asked Ash. "We're about to be smashed and all YOU can think of is Pikachu!?" shouted Misty. "HA HA HA HA! Say goodbye, twerps!" laughed Meowth. Suddenly, Pikachu appeared nearby the rear of the helicopter. "PIKA!" shouted Pikachu, in a charge stance. In a second, millions of Nidorans came swarming all over the helicopter, taking it down with no effort at all. Then Pikachu called for everyone to stand back. Pikachu charged himself full of electricity and shot it all at Team Rocket's helicopter, causing it explode! Team Rocket was sent flying into the air. "Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!" screamed Jessie, James, and Meowth all together. Surprisingly, Starmie sustained no injuries at all. Ash's mouth fell open. "Pikachu...h-how did you convince them?" "Pika! Chuu! Kach! Pichu!" cried Pikachu. "Oh..." "What did he say, Ash?" asked Brock. "He said that he told them Team Rocket was the one putting insecticide in their habitat and that they were causing us trouble too, so they decided to help both of us by helping us defeat Team Rocket!" "So, the Nidoran problem is over?" asked Misty. "Hmm, guess so." said Ash.
CHAPTER THREE
Ash, Misty, Pikachu, and Brock thanked the Nidorans for their support against Team Rocket. But something still bugged Ash. "Hey, I still don't get why you Nidorans are so small." said Ash. "Maybe the insecticide had a side effect on them other than keeping them away from their natural habitat." suggested Brock. "You mean it poisoned them?" gasped Misty. "No. If I can remember my Pokémon Handbook, something like this is only temporary." added Brock. "Well, if that is true, we still have to get rid of all the insecticide on their habitat." said Ash. "Pika?" asked Pikachu. "I don't think so, Ash. Insecticide is also temporary, otherwise we wouldn't have anymore bug problems." explained Brock. The three Pokémon trainers took their leave along with Pikachu. But Ash's Nidoran didn't want to come along. Instead, Ash let it go back to his pack. Meanwhile, Team Rocket lands in a herd of agitated
Nidorans hissing like nuts.
