Prolouge: Where's Jerrica?

        It was a beautiful day somewhere in California.  There 
was low humidity to accompany a high pressure system.  Birds 
were singing, the trees were swaying in the wind, and the 
streets were nearly devoid of cars, as the commuters exchanged 
their expensive cars for the feeling of freeness induced by  
rollerblades, bicycles, and even the occasional scooter.  Such 
an extraordinarily perfect day seemed impermeably free of any 
ill will.  Looks can be deceiving however, as the residents of 
a certain mansion were about to discover.       
        "Jerrica? Jerrica where are you?" BaNee searched all 
over Starlight mansion for her legal guardian, Jerrica Benton.
        "Ashley, have you seen Jerrica?" BaNee asked of her 
surrogate older sister and fellow Starlight girl. Ashley was 
one of the older Starlight girls (Although she can't be much 
older than twelve- "I'm thirteen!!!" -Whatever).
        "No, I haven't seen Jerrica, BaNee. Why?"
        "I need to ask her if i can go walk Mrs.Lecher's dog." 
replied BaNee sorrowfully. She really needed the money.
        "Aw, don't worry about it, BaNee.  I'm sure Jerrica 
won't mind.  I'll tell her where you are when I see her." said 
Ashley comfortingly.
        "Thanks Ashley! Bye!" called BaNee, already out the 
door.
                              ...
        But no one saw Jerrica that day, and soon discovered 
that no one had seen her the day before either.  Realizing that 
Jerrica was missing, Rio called the police.  Officers patrolled 
the property looking for anything that might lead to finding 
Jerrica, and the media was not alerted. People started to wonder,
though, why Jem was missing too.
