REVIEW: JUVENILE: SOULJA RAGS: This is Juvenile's second solo LP, after having a rather weak debut on Warlock Records. This is a Louisiana classic, without a doubt. The album is solid from one end to the other. "Soulja Rags" is the title track definately gets heavy play in the clubs down south. More to come!

REVIEW: JUVENILE: 400 DEGREEZ: This album is highly misunderstood and highly underrated, especially by east-coast biased rap enthusiasts. One thing that makes this album stand out is its originality. And you all should know by now, I feed off of originality. It isnt original in the sense of what he is talking about, because he sure isnt talking about anything we havent heard before. What makes this unique is is delivery. "Ha" is the prime example of this. Many people thought this cat had dyslexia or something, because he raps kinda like PMD on this song... very off beat. That is the way it is supposed to sound, and it is magnificent. He mixes it up a little but as well. Take "Back that Azz Up" for example. This song features clean delivery, excellent tempo, and an outstanding beat. We all know what "Ha" is what sells this album. The new single he has out now, which is featured on the re-release of this CD features a latin beat, and it is quite catchy, but a horrible choice for a second single. Juvenile's "Soulja Rags" album is better than this one, in my opinion, but not by too much. I think it is a great album just not for everyone. If he would only broaden his content a bit more, rather than talking about Mercedes-Benzes and Momo wheels on every damn song, he would be respected much more. Otherwise, good entertainment, just not something you would want to live your life by.
RATINGS:
BEATS: *** 1/2
CONTENT: **
ORIGINALITY: *** 3/4 (His delivery, especially on "Ha" is very ingenious.)
