This is the new Portuguese Bridge Vasco da Gama, it spans over 18km, being 14km over the river Tagus, in Lisbon. It is the longest bridge in Europe! And it has just been inaugurated on the 2nd of April. It was built to improve the communication South/North in Portugal and to attract the potential Foreign tourists coming to the Lisbon Expo98, from the Spanish side.
