Born in Bethlehem for Catholic parents
with three other sisters and one brother. At the age of four, she joined
a French missionary school and graduated in 1954. She was multilingual,
fluent in Arabic, English, French and Spanish. Loved music and favoured
playing the Piano and Accordion among other instruments. She moved to
Amman-Jordan in 1958, after getting married to my father Anton Mousa Hazboun.
She was spiritually enlightened with a brave and strong personality. Worked hard through a number of social organizations to spread peace and to help people in need. Energetic, lively with a warm heart, who enjoyed being around her family and friends. She welcomed visitors and made them feel as if they are at their own house. A loyal friend and a loving relative, who always gave some of her energy and love to those around. She lived her life with great dignity and led her friends and relatives by example. Two years ago, she was blessed with a malignant tumour. Her doctors did their best, then finally decided that there was nothing they could do to help through Orthodox medicine. The last few months she was lucid and very much conscious, in spite of her weakness. We enjoyed spending time next to her bed to receive her blessing and wisdom and to learn more about life, family and ancestors. On January 13, 1998, she departed peacefully from among her loved ones to a better and finer place. Renee is survived by her 5 children and 5 grand children, who will forever live to cherish her memory. It was not and will never be easy to lose her, but no one could interfere with the wisdom of the Lord. We believe that she is alive, her spirit is at peace and is no longer in pain and suffering. Till later Mom. Your picture is in our hearts for ever. We will always remember you, full of life, happy, energetic and at your best. Your memory will live on and you will continue to be our guiding star. |
