Dr. Kurtulus Karamustafa
is a lecturer at the School of Nevsehir Tourism and Hotel Management of Erciyes University, Nevsehir, Turkey, and he has recently completed his PhD studies at The Scottish Hotel School of Strathclyde University, Glasgow, UK. His PhD topic was on the subject of "Tourism Development and International Tour Operators: A Case Study of Turkey" supervised by Dr. P U C Dieke.
He has more than 15 years experience in the Turkish hotel industry, and has been studying in the field of tourism and hotel management since 1983. Particularly he used to work for Istanbul Sheraton Hotel (now Ceylan Inter-Continental Istanbul ),
and before entering the academic life he used to work as a Food and Beverage Manager in a five-star hotel in Antalya, Turkey
( Hotel Saray Regency).
He has a high school diploma from the School of Bolu Tourism and Hoteliers.
BBA in Tourism and Hotel Management from the School of Mersin Tourism and Hotel Management, Mersin, Turkey.
MSc in Tourism Management from the University of Erciyes, Kayseri, Turkey.
PhD in Tourism Management from The Scottish Hotel School, Strathclyde University, Glasgow, UK.
Most importantly, he is married to Zeynep with two kids;
Sukru Orhun and
Ahmet Tugrul.
