What is it ?

Grob Viewer is a program that can display bitmaps which are made on a HP48 calculator (GRaphic Object or GROB). It can display Black and white grobs, but also 4 colors grobs.
It can save the GROB in the windows bitmap format (BMP).
It run only under Windows 95 (and maybe under Win NT... i didn't try it...)

How to use it ?

First, you load a grob file with Open Grob option of File menu.
The grob file must be in binary format.

After a few seconds, the grob is display on the window. You can fit the grob to window with the option Fit to window of Image menu.

If the grob is a 4 colors grob, you must say it to Grob Viewer.
Choice the Grob Properties option in Image menu.
With the sheet of Grob propertie, you can choice the type of grob: Black and white or 4 colors.
Because there is not a standart to store a 4 colors grob, you must specify how is it store, with the sheet of colors properties.

A 4 colors grob is composed with two plans of pixels. The plans (P1 and P2) can be aligned horizontaly or verticaly, like this:

P1
P2

or

 P1P2

You must also indicate if the first plan (P1) contains the light gray pixels or dark gray pixels.

Note: if you want to specify a grob which have its two plans verticaly, and if the grob haven't an even number of line, Grob Viewer can't convert it in colors.
For the same reason, if you want to specify a grob which have its two plans horizontaly, and if the grob haven't a width with an even number of bytes, Grob viewer can't convert it.

You can then save the grob in a bitmap file, with the Save option in file menu, or copy it in the clipboard with the copy option of the Image menu
