For Chuck:
Chuck,
You say to me alot "Why don't you just give up Hanson? They're dead" and the
only thing I can say to you about that is:
Hanson isn't dead, they're still selling out concerts wherever they go,
anyone who knows what they're talking about can tell you that peoples such as
mtv, vh1, and more, diss them because they're too clean, too wholesome. And you
know what, that shows something about them, they haven't changed to get the
respect they deserve.
I love Hanson because of who they are, not just their music, they value
family, friends, God, which is more that I can say for most music groups out
there.
And even if Hanson does become 'dead' I'll still love them, because they set
an example for so many people, they sing about love, friendship, losing a loved
one, having fun, and they mean every word of it, I will be a fan of them long
after they stop putting out records. If I have kids, Hanson will be something
I can play for them from this time period without worrying about the content,
without worrying about what I'm subjecting them to.
Everytime I come on my computer to work on this page right here, it makes me
proud of myself as well. Without Hanson, I never would of tried so many of the
things I have, such as running this page. I didn't have something to hold so dear
to me that I would want to do this.
Hanson helped me to grow up, to realize things about myself, my friends, my
life. They may never know it, and probably never will, but in ways they've
influenced me more than the people that surround me. And I owe them for at least
that much.
So maybe this will help you understand just a little bit more as to why I
love Hanson, Chuck. Maybe this will let you see I'm not like so many of the
other girls out there who see Hanson as a fad, as a phase, as something to love
before the next big thing comes along. I care for them, about them, and that's
something they can relate to.
Luv Ya In Christ,
Marikit
