WARNING! WARNING!

Before you venture any further into this WEBSITE... just allow me the opportunity to share with you the reasons why I take pleasure in searching one's heritage. As, I continue, please keep in mind, that God is the motivational spirit that propels us to "search for what we have lost".

There are many of us who relentlessly with pride and spirit continue the search. It is "blood" of who we are. Some "amature geneologists" become obsessed with
uncovering the facts
they lose site of the mission of "finding one's self"
in the data they compile.

  • NOW GET STARTED!
  • I have yet to find the same gripping, epic stories
such as Alex Haley's Roots while digging
into the lives of my ancestors. Honestly,
I hope they don't mind us searching through
old tax registers, family bibles, isolated cemetaries,
    marriage and death certificates, and
    whatever comes your way!

Remember, those who are new to searching your family history,
the spirit, drive and determination to survive
was the battle each one faced. Only a few short
generations ago, it was not unusual to find families
consisting of nine or more children. Many of the men
could have called themselves "unemployed" over several
courses of their lifetimes, usually for long periods of
time. Life was grueling, hard and demanding!

Several years ago, I made the decision to homeschool my
twin daughters. Although I have always loved history,
I had never really considered it on a personal level.
Once I starting thinking about my ancestors
surviving the great depression, the Civil War, the
American Revolution and many other tragic eras in history, I
decided to share this information in the kid's lesson plan.

Who ever said it would be easy?
