The first regular meeting of the 1999-2000 Foyil PTA was held August 3, 1999. The meeting as called to order

by President, Janet Longacre at 10:30 a.m. The meeting was opened with the pledge to the flag.

The minutes of the previous, May 13, 1999, meeting were read by the secretary, Diann O’Riordan and approved

as such read.

The report of the treasurer, Rhonda Clausen, showed:

balance on hand.......................................................................$3987.42

total amount of unpaid bills....................................................$4683.58

The report was filed for audit.

President, Janet Longacre, announced the Ways and means committee approved Fasco as this years Book

Fundraiser, and T-shirt fundraiser.

Open house/back to school chairperson, Michelle Wilson discussed the need for money to have a successful

open house.

Vice-President, Lisa Rader, motioned to have all monies needed, available to PTA for successful open

house/back to school night.

The motion as seconded and approved.

President, Janet Longacre, discussed the need for volunteers to setup for the openhouse.

Treasurer, Rhonda Clausen, reported the pre-packaged school supplies are still available.

President, Janet Longacre, announced that 3 members were able to attend the PTA Conference in Tulsa.

Also Foyil PTA as awarded with a Unit Membership Award with a 9% increase in memberships last year.

Treasurer, Rhonda Clausen, presented a proposed budget for Fiscal Year 1999-2000.

Michelle Wilson, motioned to approve budget as presented.

Motion seconded and approved.

Budget approved by unanimous vote.

President, Janet Longacre discussed the need for continued PR Committee.

President,Janet Longacre, discussed the need for registering for a new tax ID number for exempt taxes.

Debbie Krueger motioned to purchase resale tax number.

The motion as seconded and approved.

Michelle Wilson and Debbie Krueger volunteered to bring refreshments to next scheduled PTA meeting.

President, Janet Longacre, declared the meeting adjourned at 11:24 a.m.
