Match Reports 

Crazy Gang 2  Outwood 1  10/3/98 
 
Crazy Gang had a shaky start to the match, when they gave their opponents a lot of the ball and failed to create clear cut chances.  Outwood broke the deadlock midway though the first half when a clearance from the Crazy Gang defence fell into the path of the Outwood attack.  After Outwood scored Crazy Gang began to dominate the game but they couldn't provide the finishing touch. 
Midway through the second half a substitution was made when Mulroe replaced Shergill to give more attacking options.  The breakthrough came a few minutes from time when, good work from Mulroe and Chapman created a chance which Mike finished well.  This then inspired the team who began to fight hard and a minute from time,  James Chapman fired in the winner.

Crazy Gang 1 SDS 0 10/3/98 

This was a match against 3rd placed SDS.  On paper it seemed a hard fixture but Crazy Gang seemed to control the tempo most of the way through the match.  Ladley and Zemlik worked hard in defence, with Mike and Chapman taking charge in the middle of the park.  Substitution were made at half time when Shergill replaced Zemlik and Godfrey replaced Mike.   Crazy Gang had many chances to score most of which fell to Howard Mulroe.  It seemed like it was going to be one of them days then when midway through the second half Crazy Gang were awarded a free kick, James Chapman produced a fine cross for Mulroe to leap over the SDS defence and head the ball into the roof of the net.  
Crazy Gang then worked even harder to get a second to put the game beyond 
the reach of SDS.  Shergill was booked for time wasting a minute from time. Crazy Gang managed to hold on and take maximum points.  Which put them third 2 points behind the leaders Greenwood & Wood with a game in hand.
