MEET THE PLAYERS
Paul Bruce Age 18
Goalkeeper. Joined Crazy Gang in their second season. Good shot stopper, made great saves on many occasions which have kept Crazy Gang in the game. Has improved his all round game and distribution very much and collected the most improved player of the year for 97. Has made the number one goalkeeping position his own despite some tough challanges.
Andrew Ladley Age 18
Defender. Has been with the Crazy Gang since their formation in 96. A good solid and aggressive defender who works hard throughout the game and likes to make runs into the opposing half. Andy has gone from strength to strength and in the Summer season of 1998 he was voted joint player of the year.
Ranbir Shergill Age 18
Defender. was the founder of the team. Current team Captain, good passer of the ball. Likes to bring the ball forward and lead the team. Has a prestigious left foot. Very solid and aggressive in defence like to get stuck in and win the ball back he also works hard and motivates the team well. Scored the last goal in the championship winning season of 99.
Howard Mulroe Age 18
Striker. Has been with the Crazy Gang since their formation in 96. Has played in every position possible. Has been used in defence lately. Has a good strike and has also contributed to goals regularly throughout his career. Also the only player to be named Player of the Year twice.
Darren Zemlik Age 27
Defender/Midfielder. Joined the Crazy Gang at the start of the Spring season 1998. A strong defensive tackler, who works hard to win the ball back. He also likes to bring the ball forward and does get into the scoring positions. Last season moved into midfield and was a regular scorer. Was voted the most improved player of the year and the player of the year within his first two seasons with the club.
Matthew Daly Age 21
Defender/Midfielder. Joined the Crazy Gang at the start of the Summer season of 98. Ex Sheffield Wednesday, has been an important addition because of his ability to play in any position. A very tall and skilful player, who has the ability to provide moments of magic.
Jonathan Scargill Age 21
Goalkeeper/Midfielder. Signed in the Winter 98 season. Was used as a goalkeeper then and made a very imperessive start with three penalty saves in a shoot out in the quarter final of the cup in 98. Has since been given a role in midfield and was top scorer in the summer 99 league season and also in their champions of champions campaign. Ex Sheffield Wednesday professional, where he was with them for six years.
Chris Duffy Age 24
Midfielder. Joined the Crazy Gang in the Winter season of 98/99. Has been a fantastic contributer since his arrivel. He has the ability to take on defenders as if they weren’t there. Can run with the ball from anywhere. He is full of tricks and makes it very hard for anybody to tackle him. He also scores frequently and was the leading scorer in his first season. Was voted player of the year winter - spring 1998-99 seasons.
Michael Michael Age 25
Midfielder/striker. Joined the Crazy Gang midway through their second season. Has been an asset to the Crazy Gang because of his defensive and attacking skills. A pacey midfielder who can run with the ball as well as pass it and finish it. Supports the defence as well as the attack. Was moved to attack and was the leading scorer in the summer season 1998.
Darren Vicary Age 21
Striker. Made apperances for Crazy Gang in their first season, has been very successful. Started off as a midfielder but now has proved himself as a prolific striker. Has a lot of pace skill and strength as well as a good finish and proves to be a nightmare for defenders.
Gareth Foster Age 19
Striker. Has been with the club since their formation. Finished as top goalscorer in their first season. Has been on-loan gaining experiance but has since returned to make a claim for a first team place.
Scott Everett Age 24
Striker. Signed for the Crazy Gang in the Spring season 99. In which he was the leading goalscorer and part of the championship winning team. Has a good touch and a great finish. He also gets involved in a lot of the team build up as well as an out and out goalscorer.
