Ninety Pound Wuss
NINETY POUND WUSS--S/T
Tooth and Nail
1996
This album is the first from Ninety Pound Wuss. It mixes the old with the new and contains 19 of the most insane and energetic songs i have ever heard. Sometimes poppy and sometimes noisy, this album never dissapoints. Lyrics tackle such issues such as Legalism, Racism and Spirituality. I like to refer to this album as straight up crack rock. The closest comparison i can think of is early Grimple but they definately have a sound of their own. One of the songs even has an "Eye of the Tiger" intro.-8
NINETY POUND WUSS- WHERE MEAGER DIE OF SELF INTEREST
Tooth and Nail
1997
Oh My! This is a change. The first album was very happy, but this one is very dark. The first song ("Backwards Thinking") starts off with a little post-punk intro and then blasts into some crusty punk rock with vocals sounding a bit like Filth. The second song ("Broken Circles")is poppier but still somehow dark. The third song is one of the best ("The Dawning Of This Night Divine"), and blends emo with more crusty punk. From then on, almost every song starts out with emo experimentalism and then blasts into some chaotic noise-core. Lyrics seem very angry. I think Jeff must have had a bad experience, because this album is very sad and emotional . Anyways, this is the best cd i own, so get it.-10
NINETY POUND WUSS- sHORT HAND OPERATION

They've done it again!!! This album just solidifies the fact that Ninety Pound Wuss is my favorite band. This album is amazing. Jeff shows off not only is skill at playing the keyboard, but singing as well. He takes the listener through an emotional rollercoaster. The title-track starts off with an electronic intro and then dives into some catchy punk rock. Some of the best songs on here are the beautifully sung emotive songs ("Nostalgia", "Letting Loose"). However, don't worry, the album still has plenty of stuff to keep the punk rockers happy (" Torment in Tension", "Not Like Me"). There is even an electronic instrumental on here ("It Seems So Far Away"). This album is full of emotion and energy and will appeal to people of all types.-10
NINETY POUND WUSS/THE CAPTIVES- SPLIT 7"
Crash Records
1998
Ok. First of all, i have no idea where to find this, i just happenned to stumble upon it. It has one unreleased song by the Wuss and In my opinion, it is one of their best. It's called In Silence. It is a beautiful, emotional song with some fast parts and some slow parts. The vocals are sung heartfelt and the music sounds surprisingly well for a 7-inch. I love this song and I am glad I bought this. However, the Captives are just okay and I rarely listen to their side.-7
