This is MY page, a bit about myself....
My greatest achievement in my life has been having my twin boys, Trent and Mitchell. They were unplanned as their dad and I had just separated when I found out "a" baby was on the way. I admit to feeling a little frightened, desperate, worried, all those emotions on how I was going to cope on my own raising a child, paying a mortgatge, and all those fleeting thoughts which pass. Then I saw the scan and realised that I had truly been doubly blessed. Suddenly I had gone from the possibility of never having children to a ready-made family of two babies to love.
My hobbies include playing with all 4 kids (kids & dogs), gardening, music, particularly Elton (as per music on all pages here), taking photos of all still and moving life (?!) and placing these photos into Scrapbooks, reading and this puter. It doesn't matter what it is, if it has words I will read it. The boys share my pleasure in reading and we can often be found with our noses buried in our books.
As my friends will know, I have this constant weight battle. I go from all fired and raring to go to hopelessness as times. I've been to psychologists, psychiatrists, dieticians, you name it but the problem seems to be underlying due to self esteem issues. The feeling of "eating to fill the hole" when helplessness comes.
I have been a primary school secretary for 22 years. Studies include a Certificate III in Education Administration and also a Diploma in Public Administration. It is no secret to my friends that I have had a very sad time at work over the past few years. Things have opened my eyes, saddened me and led to my self esteem problems and lack of confidence in myself. I did, however, discover who my true friends were. The Year 2000 is my year to prove to myself (and others) that I can pull myself out of this merky mire and smile again, strong, confident and undefeated. (phew nearly need to roar I AM WOWMAN here rofl)
A regular homebody, this danged computer has opened up a whole new world to me. I have met so many fabulous friends who I can talk to each and every day. Making this homepage has been very rewarding for me also, as it has made me "think".
