Mums Face to Face

Here we are finally together face to face. In early 1999, Astrix, Allic, Cack, Charlie, Ozmum, Ozdad and Sah finally got to give each other those long promised hugs.

Sadly missing from our group were Kez, Pickles and Ozfriend. Kez did surprise us by ringing on my mobile which was swiftly passed around for all to chat. We drank a toast (eeewww in Maison) to our absent friends and all then proceeded to partake in both kinds of burps for Kez, some fortunately in private. Ladies we spoke of you often and many, many times wished you were all here. Sah faced a 2 hour drive each way with dh, Phil, and 4 kids, the Oz Family and Astrix travelled over 2 1/2 hours each way with 5 kids in tow, but Allic made it 5 hours by plane across Australia to bring she and Jamie to us. They are both keen to get home to Dan this Thursday and the family have missed each other very much. Funny for Allic to speak to her dh on ICQ across Australia!!!

My friends, we have always been close on line, but now we are real faces and hugs I think we are even closer. I know I will never forget this day. The photo you see here is enlarged and framed and above my computer as we speak, the day after the event.

I love you all dearly and feel very fortunate to have such a wonderful group of friends.

Now for the kids..... Here are BJ, Robbie, Jamie, Trent, Mitchell, Rian, Sam and Tom then the girls Elizabeth, Sophie, Mary, Sarah and Shannon.

This is the same photo of the kids, but some with faces clearer. An added bonus are the Ozcars in the background, c'mon Torana and Premier. The XY did not get there due to overheating concerns, but I DO have it this week, so expect perfectly posed portraits soon rofl.

Pickles and Kez finally got together in their Home City on Thursday, 21 January, 1999. Both were cautious even though they have chatted regularly for a long time. After all..... a face to face is different. But, just like us, they found that that something special in common on ICQ and MOL was "there" in a face to face. They tell us they had the best time, laughed, drank champers, ate dessert and walked along the beach. Both said they talked and laughed so much. Thank you to Pickles for kindly allowing me to put their pictures up on this page also. Pickles is the one wearing glasses and Kez?, well she has the champers of course!! lol. Now our faces are complete :0)
but, Kez, where IS your shotgun for Diamond Lillian? rofl
