This is a picture of my parents, Nerida and Hugh, with their grandchildren. My twins are Trent (on the right) and Mitchell (on the left). The beautiful little girl is Sophie Elizabeth, daughter of my brother Greg and his wife Helen (Charlie). This photo was taken on 06 October, 1998, to celebrate Sophie's first birthday.
Nerida and Hugh were married on 18 October, 1958. My birthday is only 9 months and 3 days (21/07/59) later which I like to tease my dad about all the time! Of course now that the number is over 40 there's not much for me to celebrate? LOL
A note, if I may, all photos on my homepage are to please remain the propety of this page. Any photos may not be copied without prior permission. Thanks a lot!!
My first and foremost friend would have to be my Mum, co diamond shopper, twin raiser, shoulder, rock and confidante. Each year I grow more like her (VERY scarey) and I admire her more than anyone I know. Poor old Dad sits back watching as he can't get a word in edgeways but is ever ready to ride his trusty steed if needed to dart into the fray, or visa versa as he likes to say..... rofl
My parents have been there always for me. Through my childhood which was filled with love and laughter and those teenage years, when all teenagers think they know everything, my parents loved me anyway. Then in my early 20's in my ups and downs and finally my 30's which saw me separated, expecting twins and divorced, they were there to mop the tears, dust me off and most importantly give me constant love and support throughout.
Now to my brother.....Greg and and his lovely wife , Helen (Charlie). They introduced me to the Internet at the end of June, 1998. I was hooked, particuarly when Charlie took me to MomsOnLine and ICQ where my friend list grew daily.
Greg (Ymir) has a Master in Education Administration, is now studying (with constant High Distinctions) for his Doctorate and is also a fully qualified dog trainer. Sit children, fetch children.... I mean good dog.
Greg also has THE most spectacular XY Falcon, which he has even let his big sister drive on a couple of occasions!! Being the ever avid photographer and the scanner is now here I can share the moment. rofl
The music on this page is "The Greatest Discovery" by Elton John. The significance of this song for this page is best described by an excerpt from the song.......
"And in those silent happy seconds that surround the sounds of this event
A parent's smile is made in moments, they have made for you a friend.
And all you ever learned from them, until you grew much older,
Did not compare with when they said, this is your brand new brother."
For this is how I feel about my brother... I admire Greg for all his achievements, his sense of humour, his friendship and love and the wonderful hugs he can give. (I don't think I have told you lately, but Greg, I love you dearly.)
And now HE is sharing with his sister his greatest achievement of all, another brand new friend for me, my lovely niece Sophie!! In February 2000 I was very proud to become Sophie's God Mother.
Erin Grace arrived in November, 1999, to complete their beautiful family
Sadly they have moved three hours north and I don't get to see them as often as I would like. We keep in contact on the phone regularly and my heart sings to hear Sophie say "love Caffie".
I miss my two little princesses very much.
Greg and I get to email each other sometimes during the week through our work computers. There's also ICQ (but not at work of course) although they are busy with their family so we don't "see" each other on the computer that often any more.
